I have mixed feelings about this store. As a voracious reader and buyer of books, this store was disappointing. It was close to impossible to find anything. I felt like I was walking into someone's mental illness of book hoarding than an actual shop. This may be some people's cup of tea, but not mine.

Please visit. I passed this on the way to breakfast. This is located in front of The Desoto Hotel. You do have to step down to get inside the store, and I feel that it adds such warmth to the space. This is a vintage store, so you will find yourself browsing. I love the way that this bookstore was set up. Everything was beautifully placed. I was able to purchase some poetry books; and didn't even notice their $1 bin outside on the stoop. This bookstore was very huge and had a robust selection. The employees that I encountered were amazing. They provided me with information about their spoken word days. While I don't live in Savannah, my partner does come down frequently for work. I am sure that I will be back. My daughter had questions about one specific book, and the person that she encountered was very kind to her. She had informed her that this was more of a vintage store; and had even referred us to E. Shaver bookstore, behind our hotel. I was inside for about an hour and could have stayed longer. I will be sure to visit again when in the Savannah area.

Eclectic bookstore with a small selection of rare books. They have a lot of older publications and those they are slightly used. Only issue is I took a picture of a newer book I wasn't ready to pull the trigger on and a manger/owner/employee stopped and aggressively asked me why I was taking the picture. I said excuse me and he asked again why the picture. The employee/owner is clearly worried about losing business to Amazon or Barnes n noble. If you can avoid speaking to him it's worth a stop for that old book smell alone. I purchased an older hardcover novel for $12. Great deals to be found

Great bookstore with so many amazing books. The staff is knowledgeable and helpful. There are so many great books and the prices are good.

Awesome selection and helpful staff! Loved the Southern selections and the "rare" case! Picked up a Kerouac book I've never seen and will cherish it as a Savannah souvenir!

Huge collection of books in all categories. Could use a little better sorting to make treasures easier to find.

Loved it. Great selection of older books. Nice staff. It felt more family-friendly than other bookstores around. I appreciated that.

They have a first edition copy of Jumanji and a small selection of rare books that are interesting as well.

They had dedicated shelves to some of your favorites. You could find all your Harry Potters, along with Tom Feltons new book, and a pop up wizarding chess game, all grouped tougher. It is a historical building with lots of twists and turns and things to look at in every direction. Including a few sleepy cats. The mix of books was eclectic and I loved the recommended shelf with a hand written synopsis by the staff. Everything was so personal and purposeful. They were doing good business while I was there but the service was everything you want at an independent bookstore.

They have so many genres of books that there is something for everyone they also have areas they you can buy merch and the staff is super friendly helpful and informative they also have cats that live in the library and if you walk around enough you may walk into meeting on seating on a window or a book shelf or just walking around the cats are extremely friendly and allow you to pet them just be gentle with them and mindful since this is there home. Overall the price of the books was good and the options were endless.

I loved my visit to the Paris Market! I had seen all over social media that this was the place to…read morevisit in Savannah, and for once that turned out to be true. The Paris Market is essentially like an antique shop, museum, and classy cafe all came together at once. It has a perfect vibe and aesthetic that is honestly very calming when you've been rushing around the streets of Savannah prior to walking in the door. I highly recommend getting any flavor of latte (hot or iced) as well as their incredible Parisian hot chocolate. Both were delicious and actually worth the $6/$7 price tag! Then, you can stroll around the main level and lower level shop and admire all of the treasures. I can't wait to visit again soon!

We had really high hopes for The Paris Market and left a little disappointed. From the name and…read morebranding, we expected more of a true Parisian café experience with great pastries, little snacks, desserts, and a cozy coffee shop atmosphere. Instead, there were only a few macarons, maybe one sandwich option, and the café itself was...pretty much nonexistent. The retail side also felt a little underwhelming. The space is nice, but a lot of the merchandise was sourced from vendors you commonly see at the larger merchandise markets, so it didn't feel as unique or curated as we expected. That said, we're still glad we stopped in if you're nearby. It just didn't quite live up to the experience we had imagined
