THIS is one fantastic bookstore. In fact, it is *the quintessential* small town bookstore, the one you actually read about in books and wish you had one yourself. (such as poetry open mic, or local authors) Local authors are featured Knowledgeable staff FANTASTIC sitting clever signs Things that make me sad: We live an hour away. Go! This place was a huge disappointment. I took my 3-year old granddaughter on an outing and chose this local bookstore as part of it. She LOVES reading, and I thought it would be fun to visit a local, independent bookstore. It is a used bookstore, which was not clear from website description. The book choices for preschool children were minimal - a single small bookcase of books - most of which were ancient. (There was a Dick and Jane book there if you want to gauge age of the books). The books were poorly organized and many were very worn. As my granddaughter said, "This bookstore is boring." It was a shame as small communities need good bookstores. This wasn't it. I've been to some GREAT small independent bookstores; I know they can be amazing. This was just depressing. read more

Nice local book shop. Friendly and helpful staff. When you visit, be sure to check out all the areas. There's a nice variety throughout. I enjoyed finding a few old gems even in the basement. read more

They sell used books, and you can get store credit for the books you sell to them. There are two stories - a main floor and a basement full of books. Historically, the store has had a large variation of subject matter. During this visit I could not find much variation, and several romance novels. I may have just missed other books - as there are several shelves. It is a pleasant place. Walking in, I always feel at peace and want to linger through the shelves. It is definitely worth a visit if you haven't been here. read more

It's an "okay" bookstore. The shelves are WAY too close together. You have no room & can't see the one's near the floor, unless you want to SIT on the floor! I was mainly downstairs, but it wasn't a great experience. And for used paperbacks, its too pricey. $40 for 8 is too much! I won't be back, sorry. read more

I just came through and stopped by this little bookstore! You can trade in your used books and then get some used books at a discounted price! It has a big selection and the staff was very nice! Loved the little layout and would definitely come back here! read more

I've been shopping at the Bookworm for nearly ten years and I have never walked out disappointed.

This used to be one of my favorite places to go exchange paperback books and browse. Still is, that is if you are going to exchange and get more bang for your buck. I have heard they have over 10,000 books on hand, I believe it, and it is always fun to browse. I was disappointed to find out though, that it had changed ownership. The former owner was such a hoot, knew where everything was, and had hard backs by the back door for bargain prices most were a buck or less, these have been raised to 2-3 bucks with the new ownership. Also took a close friend to share the experience, as I was under the assumption, it was under the same ownership. As for her she didn't have any books to exchange, and we found out that now you have to pay 50% of the original cover price, a little steep for a used book we thought. She had a few books in hand and put them back as she didn't want to pay those prices for used books. I felt bad for her afterwards. Before it would have been a 5 star hands down, again still fun browing, but more of a mid-range rating due to the prices. read more
