As mentioned, the owner's a little quirky. I think he means well, but doesn't know as much about guitars as he'd like. And he gets pretty defensive if he's not the one in the know on something. That's not the end of the world. But it's an odd experience in an exclusively USED instrument store. Because those of us who have been playing and collecting for decades are going to come in and occasionally have a little more knowledge on something obscure they've got in, etc. If someone with gray hair who knows how to disassemble and review an instrument comes in, it behooves you to trust that he understands it. They stand by their own intake inspection to a fault. If you find something they missed on their intake inspection--even if it's glaring like the guitar doesn't make sound when plugged in--then you've got an uphill battle to prove your case even if you haven't left the store with the instrument yet. If you're looking for a deal on something generic, I think this place will get you through alright. If you're collecting, then this place is probably going to weird you out a little.

They've all gotten finished much faster than the projected turned around. The team there also very honest and transparent. They once called to advise of a mistake made on their end resulting in them needing to perform more extensive work, which would normally be a several hundred dollar job but they completed it absolutely free. All of my guitars they've worked on feel great and as someone who is getting back into playing guitar after several years of neglecting the instrument... having excellent playing guitars and a people I can rely on for great work and great service has helped reignite my passion and enthusiasm for the guitar and music as a whole! I had a 50 year old 12-string that had an issue with a cracked heel - not easy to fix, but these gentleman have the knowledge and the skill and they literally brought this guitar back to life. I have since brought my other two guitars in to them for some TLC and they have done a fantastic job. AND their fees are reasonable! I will never let anyone else work on my precious guitars. Cannot recommend them highly enough.
