Unknown to me, the buyer of my house showed up with a 18 wheeler truck of their belongings on the same day and at the same time as 2 Men and a Truck were scheduled to move my belongings out. This was contrary to the contract and completely unexpected. It was especially difficult because my house has 4 levels and requires much moving of heavy things up and down lots of steps. It was even harder since other movers were moving in heavy furniture of the new owner. Even with this glitch, 2 Men and a Truck were polite, hardworking, conscientious and made it work. I was so proud and grateful to them, it made my view of the whole thing great. I cannot say enough wonderful things about 2 Men and a Truck!

My furniture was not properly secured and most items were scratched or dented. The liability waiver I signed stated that Motivated Movers are not responsible for damage to pressboard furniture, and most of the damaged furniture I complained about is pressboard furniture. Finding a moving service that would not only haul everything I would be taking but I also did not want to put the miles on my car. I called this company sort of not expecting to get a pick up but I actually reached the owner. He was so pleasant to talk to. He offered reassurance of the quality of job & gave me truly the most fair price you will find. Previously I had called companies to move just simply my car. I got quotes for $500. Thats with an open container meaning the car would be expose to all weather conditions. I also got quotes from commercial moving companies who would move my car & belongings in a typical box truck. Those quotes were for 1800$ & up ! When I originally called Will I also expressed the desire to ride along with my belongings so I didnt have to buy a plane ticket from Birmingham or Atlanta. He had absolutely no problem with that. I kept in contact with Will for the remaining 3 weeks while I took care of subleasing my apartment & selling all of my furniture. This man answered the phone every single time & maintained the same energy. The day of the move his crew rolled up with everything he said they would at 6pm. They help load the trailer. They handled my BMW Z3 with care , my 70in didnt have a scratch , & my luggage with securely put into place by 7pm. Two drivers rotated the drive every 3 hours with a few hours rest inbetween & we arrived at the driveway of my destination in Miami around 12pm (noon) the next day. They unhauled the whole trailer & i couldnt be happier with my decision. All of this I got for 600$. I think i gave each drive 20$ as a tip because thats all the cash i had left but they truly deserved more for their care. This company didnt have any reviews or much publication when i was doing my research so im glad to be the first & help others feel confident in choosing this company.

Everything seemed normal and fine until it came to the day of the move. The owner Will Sterling who I was in contact with the whole time had requested to pack me up the night prior so they could leave early morning. Comes to the night of he calls me informing me that the rain was restricting them from finishing a previous move. We can to an agreement for him to arrive at 5am in alignment with my travel plans having to drive 12 hours. It comes to 6:30am no text or call from him so I give him a call and turns out he was asleep still. He then informs me he is coming with his team. 4 hours go by and nothing. No text or call and no communication. I try calling him and texting him multiple times but he doesn't respond. He then says he's 15min away and then another hour goes by. He finally says he's here and I go outside to meet him and let him know I'll be canceling the move due to the inconvenience and inconsideration. I asked for a refund for the deposit which he then says will take 7 days for him to complete. I was on the phone with my sister at the time when she informed me of this companies many 1star yelp reviews accusing them of stealing, damaging, and tardiness multiple times not to mention lying about refunding. I then confronted him, standing in the pouring rain for 20 min demanding the refund be made now which he was in fact able to do and wouldn't take 7 days to happen. Overall I warn everyone considering to use this company not to. No apology of remorse was given to this situation from the OWNER of the company and as I walked away from the conversation heard laughter amongst his employees and him.

These movers were the cheapest ones I could find, and I should have paid more for better ones…read more When they arrived, I had everything neatly organized in my home. The heaviest things were on the bottom, and fragile boxes were set completely aside. I pointed out the fragile boxes specifically when they arrived. I then left them to the work - I thought it would be rude to micromanage them. When I arrived at my destination and started unloading things, their shoddy packing job became clear. I didn't include pictures of everything, but the ones I did include give a good idea. The back wall of boxes was at least orderly, but boxes were turned upside down for no apparent reason, fragile boxes were placed on the bottom of the pile and smashed, and heavy boxes of books were placed on the top. Furniture was placed on top of boxes, smashing them and their contents. As you can see in the picture, packing after that first row apparently became a game of trying to turn and jam boxes wherever they would fit. The bottom of one sofa was torn along with one of the springs. At first, I couldn't tell how it happened. When I discovered that the fabric was caught in the wood of a table that was behind it, I pieced together that they must have put the sofa in first and then tried to jam the table behind it without moving it to avoid damage. A TV console's top was torn off on one side due to incorrect lifting. With professional packing, there would have been enough foresight to avoid all of these issues. I knew that I wasn't going to be getting the best service with the cheapest movers, and I was willing to accept a certain amount of dings and scrapes. But the damage to my items was far beyond what is reasonable to expect regardless of the price paid. The fact that the movers were friendly is not enough to make up for the fundamental failure to provide the service paid for.
