My partner and her parents, who drove 45mins to meet their daughter at the brick in Vaughan (137 Chrislea Rd, Woodbridge ON L4L 8N6), found a lovely cedar table for our new home and the following day I came in to confirm our choice. The sales person at the time of purchase, Ayaz H, was detailed about our non negotiable of an august 10th delivery date. The table was available but the chairs were back ordered. The "salesperson" assured us that the delivery date would be made otherwise we would NOT have bought. It would not fit our timeline. We were super happy about our purchase and decided to protect it with a 5 year warranty. In turn we were offered a bonus woodkit cleaner. Ten days after the sale purchase (7/27) we decide to call in about our order and were surprised to find that they had pushed the delivery date back 10 days without notice and that too was speculative. After an additional phone call, and two physical visits, instead of fully cancelling our order (which they were more eager to do than facilitate the situation) because we love the table, I chose to deliver just the table and have the chairs come when they come and fork up the lost time of driving the chairs myself. I removed the warranty because of the broken promises i have read about here and the first hand experience of being sold a promise that didn't deliver. The lady who did my refund rebuilt my order with the bonus wood cleaner only to have the manager at the time, Savita, override it citing it belonging to the warranty. That's not to say of all the inconvenience that was created during one of the busiest times of our lives. Thank you Brick for the table set and the shaky promises. I'll be sure to take my business elsewhere in the future. read more

The sofas have very weak springs and even the extra money I paid for the warranty was for my own pleasure. When I need to repair and fix the sofa, they have made the process so difficult and complicated that I have just thrown away the warranty money and have no access to after-sales service. I do not recommend buying furniture from this company under any circumstances. read more

1-star review Extremely disappointed with The Brick's insurance service. I purchased a sofa and chair from The Brick and paid for insurance that was supposed to protect my furniture. On August 5, 2025, I filed a claim -- a representative came, took photos, and later I received a call saying my claim was denied. I've called twice and even sent a written request asking for a written explanation, but no one ever replied. The faux leather on my furniture is peeling and cracking -- clear signs of poor quality -- yet The Brick refuses to take responsibility. Terrible customer service and zero communication. I purchased a "Made in Canada" sectional couch from The Brick, and within the first couple of months the material began pulling. That's where the nightmare started. Trying to open a support ticket was painful, and The Brick refused to work with the external party we were dealing with. After weeks of chasing them, we finally got a call saying that replacement parts were coming from overseas -- which makes no sense for a couch that's supposedly made in Canada. Months later, a technician finally showed up with no name, no paperwork, and after looking at the couch said there was nothing he could do and that The Brick should replace it. When we contacted The Brick, their notes didn't mention any of this. We opened another ticket for additional fabric pulls. They simply snipped the threads and again said nothing could be done. The Burlington location was awful to deal with -- zero accountability or willingness to help. We even tried contacting Head Office in Alberta by email and phone multiple times. No response. Not even once. Eventually, out of sheer frustration, I went to the store and demanded to speak with a manager. At first, she wasn't going to do anything either... until she realized the exact couch material had been discontinued (likely because of all the issues). Only then did she offer 70% off a new couch -- but the newer models were way more expensive, and they tried to add a $500 warranty on top. Completely unacceptable. We ended up having to buy a clearance couch instead -- no delivery included, so we paid out of pocket to rent a U Haul and pick it up ourselves. While we were in the store, four other customers were also complaining about their products and the customer service. One woman even said we should bring this to the news. After everything we went through, I absolutely agree. If you're considering buying from The Brick... BEWARE. I would never recommend them. I will never purchase anything from them again. read more

If there is a zero star, I will give The Brick 0 star. I purchased a brand new table from the store, but they delivered me with a scrap part. I informed The Brick to request a substitute part immediately. I followed up with their customer services staff due to the delivery schedule of substitute part delay twice, I requested them to follow up and deliver to me ASAP. However, they are rude and inpatient, told me that there is no way to expedite my part delivery. The only thing they can do is waiting. Until now, I still not received the part yet, it takes 1.5 months after my purchase. I will never shop at The Brick every again. The after-sale service really suck. read more

I will never shop at The Brick every again, I purchased bar stool, got home and noticed I needed counter stools instead. I got it for 90$ the next day the price went up. Went in to do a regular swap for the same stool just smaller. And they told me I had to pay the different cause it went up in price. And I Could not get my refund. Needed a washer and everyone had the same price and did not budge. The delivery charge was a little much... Went to Goemans appliances Woodbridge and the sales guy did not want to deal at all, he was arrogant and told me that he has been doing this for 30 years and lives near the old location (who cares) and was not focused. "Not everyone one needs a 1500 washer". He didn't even ask his manager for authorization. I left and went to the Brick across the street and spoke to Belinda, asked her what she could do and basically didn't charge for the delivery and they will take the old machine with them -- the whole thing took 15-30 minutes. Amazing... I have never liked the Brink, but I see that they are nice to deal with in my situation - hey - I am basically buying an washer right! Good job Brick and thanks Belinda. Due to hearing about similar experiences that Natalie B (below) had encountered, I was initially wary about purchasing furniture for my first home from The Brick. Past experiences when visiting with my parents had taught me that sales associates resembled vultures and followed close enough to step on your heels - darting cut glances at others who got to close to their prized customer. That said, my experience on this particular occasion was helpful, stress and worry free and actually extremely enjoyable! Shopping with my mother we were left to to browse initially with very little interference or pressure, when we did finally signal a sales member for assistance she was prompt, cordial and very informative. We ended up purchasing a bed frame, 2 night tables, a gorgeous couch and a coffee table that gets all sorts of compliments when people are over - very pleased! Where our associate really went the extra mile for us was when it came time to negotiating prices, she was able to offer us a significant discount after learning we had friends from other locations. After purchasing a warranty she was able to offer even more savings and this first time home buyer was MORE than pleased with that. The errors (and there had to be a couple): - Poor communication between the department that charges you for your items and our associate, I had put a credit card down to put a deposit BUT was going to pay in cash in the days that followed. That communication was ignored and the entire balance was charged to my credit card. After losing it a little on the Customer Service team, they fixed the issue - One of the night tables was severely damaged on delivery. Thankfully the warranty covered this and it was promptly replaced - Delivery people DO NOT assemble furniture, I misunderstood that part of the delivery service charge I was paying for was for assembly. Not the case - make sure you clarify - My return visit to the store to settle my bill I had a stalker as I moved through the store. I had to tell the guy I was "Good" before he moved from 2 feet behind me to 15 feet - it was bound to happen eventually. read more

My number one complaint about the brick is their lack of customer service. They botched the delivery and installation of the washer/dryer we bought twice (The 2nd one was a replacement). They don't make an effort to explain what their expectations are to ensure the delivery and installation goes smoothly. Their all time low is having their delivery guy come into our house DRUNK when he's delivering our appliance. Rest assured we will never shop at this store or any of their stores again. read more

We had bought a sectional from the brick and got the extended warranty since the sales person said it was ideal if we have young children etc. We called the brick for warranty and they sent over a person to review our sectional before they can do whatever to our couch since I said it needed some repair and cleaning. A week later we got a call and they said it was deemed as soiled and cannot send over anyone due to that cause. My son just leaked out of his diaper which happens to most people. But that person took it as he peed all over the sectional and blamed our dogs for peeing on the couch. We keep our house in a very clean and orderly condition and would never let our dogs sit on our couch. In the end, the warranty that we had paid for is down the drain. The stitching on the sectional cannot be fixed due to the lack of quality. NEVER PURCHASE FROM THE BRICK OR GET WARRANTY!!!!!! DONT WASTE YOUR HARD EARNED MONEY ON THIS STORE. I had a horrible experience with Brick. Purchased 2 kids beds, desk and dresser. Paid in full on JULY 4, 2020, with delivery and assembly. I was warned that there would be about a month waiting because of COVID. Understandable. First week of August passes, no call. I come to check, and Customer Service tells me new target date is end of August. September comes - no call. I go to the store, new target date is end of September. I start talking about cancelling the purchase - and - wow, 1 bed and desk have actually arrived. So, they schedule delivery and assembly, remainder to be done in the end of the month. On September 11 I get delivery for the remaining bed and drawer. When I call to schedule an assembly, I was told I did not pay for it. So - another trip to the store. Customer service does some processing, and I can now get my assembly scheduled. On September 18 assembly guys come in, and tell me that bed is missing one detail - side railing, and can't be assembled. They refuse to assemble the drawer by itself. Also, 2 shelves from headboard are missing. I have to go back to Customer Service again. They say they will ask the warehouse to search for missing items and call me back. Obviously, nobody calls me back. Couple of days later I go back to the store. They tell me they will schedule delivery. On September 23 I get 2 missing shelves, and no side railing. Shelves are of very little value for me, I don't care if I have to wait. But without side railing bed can't be assembled. So, my kid continues sleeping on the mattress. Back to the store again, they said they would order the missing part, which will arrive in the end of October. Oh, and they are sorry for the inconvenience. which is a huge help, of course. Again - they took my money IN FULL on JULY 4!!! The customer service refused to give me the detail from their floor model, or the floor model itself (that would have solved the problem and would be fair, since it's entirely their fault to not deliver part of the bed). Bottom line - I highly recommend going to another store if the item you purchased is not in stock immediately. As for me - this is absolutely my last purchase from Brick. The Vaughan store is a minus FIVE rating. I purchased a couch love seat, Chair and two outdoor umbrellas plus warranty on the furniture. So far the furniture is ok however, I put one of the umbrellas up on the long weekend and the seams are diffective and coming apart sent them a picture. I made multiple calls and no one answered my number was blocked. I can't even begin to express my disgust in dealing with the brick. The salesperson promises you the world, and then no one cares once you pay! They outsource everything. Different contractors for delivery, installation, repairs, warranty. One contractor has no clue about the other. Customer service is an enigma. Don't be fooled into the extended warranty. My dishwasher has been repaired 6 times and I am fighting for a replacement. On replacement I must pay for deliver and installation again, plus a be warranty (if I want it). What a laugh, we had, just as he'd approach, we would divide up and go in seperate directions. hahaha The floor layout in store seems yo coral you into corners that the sales people can jump you for their pitch. One of the worst experiences ever. Bought bed frame on their online site, once transaction completed got email - the sale is final. No warnings before transaction, no information before payment - nothing. Picked up the bed in vaughan location and was surprised how light the bed frame was. Unboxed and was shocked - the rails are so thin and done from plywood. The headboard covered by paper thin material. Asked store manager to replace with different product - the answer is NO. The Brick, located on 137 Chrislea Rd, Vaughan, ON L4L 8N6 - WORST STORE, TERRIBLE SERVICE, RUDE STAFF - Avoid purchasing furniture here at all costs. The store has provided us with the worst experience possible. We purchased a dining table from this location about 3 months ago. They have made 4 deliveries till date, we still have a damaged dining table. Delivery truck mistakes, missing parts, damaged parts, parts being ordered from china supplier. We did not expect to receive legs of chair by canada post - no furniture store would send the legs of chair to be found in your mailbox! The store has no control over inventory, or can figure out what part was not delivered. They could not even place a call to the delivery truck to deliver the missing parts, which were sitting in the truck! The entire store has failed to respond back with our concerns. The staff that handles the complaints does not know how to talk to customers. Adults scream and shout on the phone at the top of their lungs, lacking the ability to listen - such is the behavior of adults in this store location, forget customer service if that is what you expect! The store manager Roy and Usha...has yet to return the multiple phone calls placed. Followup calls made by staff members, specifically, Veera and Shabana were extremely rude, and unacceptable. Each of these individuals have failed to hear the concerns, accept the store's mistake and give a refund or discount the price. We even went to the store and spoke to Shabana.....Every individual we have talked to is in denial of what has happened! Instead, they continue to try and setup more deliveries to assure us that the product will be delivered and inconvenience us even further.The worst was when the Operations Store Manager Veera said the I need to live with the nooks and dents that come with a wooden furniture. Clearly, providing high quality products and great customer service is not their priority. All they are concerned about is the sale, what the customer goes through after is the customer's problem. At this point, we don't even want the table. They ruined the entire experience of buying a piece of furniture. Give us a refund and take your table back - after that The Brick can ship it back to china and get your money back for buying it from the worst supplier. I suggest, all of you based in vaughan/woodbridge or GTA area that plan to buy furniture from this store location DO NOT Engage them for any services! We plan to report this store to bad business bureau; and release an article to local newspapers and the media. Leons owns the brick since 2012, so don't be fooled that these are two separate stores. Classic example of a canadian business that has ruined its own reputation over the years due to hiring of poorly trained staff and retail policies that do not support customers. My word of advice to Dave Freeman and the executives - its time to re-visit your policies, and have a better look at how business is conducted. i saw there were a number of bad reviews for this store on google but i have just purchased two large items recently and had a very good experience. I purchased a mattress during boxing day week and i had to take advantage of their 90 day sleep satisfaction guarantee. I went back into the store and met Rehan, who wasn't even the salesperson for my original purchase, and he took the time with me to make sure i made a correct 2nd purchase, and there was absolutely no issue in honoring their guarantee. Even their customer service who i first contacted, contacted me back very promptly and advised me of the sleep guarantee. So, i went back recently looking for a fridge and, after shopping around to try to figure out what i wanted, i ended up leaving with no pressure and a business card. When i figured out what i wanted, i called back and got a great deal including an extended warranty on appliances that, if not used, becomes a credit for The Brick in the future at the end of the warranty period. I don't see how this can be beat. If you get a good price somewhere else, contact this location and you may find you get an even better deal.
