Its hard to find a review that has something negative about service....have you been to HOME DEPOT in WOODBRIDGE. Ask for Ceasar by name...Hail Ceasar is right. I was following him around as he was helping others so I overhearing how he was explaining a question that was asked. He caught my attenion and it was MOEN all from there. He was able to connect me with the free warranty part and then in invited me to sit down at a computer in the near by plumbing section to review an installation video he googled so that I was completly confident on my purchase...i was. We've had occasion to come in for home and garden supplies over the many years this location has served the area. Usually, we're able to find what we need at decent prices. It's pretty conveniently located close to Weston Road, with a large parking lot, and pickup area for bulky items. Sometimes you have to hunt a bit for staff on the ground, and sometimes they're part timers whose knowledge isn't particularly in-depth. On the other hand, dedicated staff at some of the specialty counters, like our experience in the bathroom section, were very helpful in spending a good amount of time going over different products to choose from. The garden section is a bit lacking as they only display decorative pieces on the ground. I was told that for basic concrete forms, they don't carry them there. I would have to go online and order them, which really didn't help me as I wanted to see the actual pieces to rebuild our back patio. I ended up having to go to specialty stores to be able to see the product. It's great to have them nearby. Their hours are convenient. I'm sure I'll have many occasions to return. read more

Service here is non-existent. If you're lucky enough to know exactly what you want and where it is in the store, then you might be okay. However, if you need something like paint mixed or you want to ask where something is, good luck. It will take a minimum of 15 - 20 minutes. That's unacceptable in my view. read more

After 5 PM nobody wants to help you. There is no manager and the delegate, ignores you. Employees talking outside or avoid you if you are in the middle of an island looking for help. Waste of time. I went to the one on Rexdale and Kipling and got the help to make a considerable purchase. read more

My husband and I were purchasing a vanity. We asked 2 people for help to put it on the cart and carry it out. The first person said that it wasn't his section the second person said he called someone. After 20 minutes, my husband and I decided to move It ourselves. It wasn't until an employee (who was walking by and not the person who was called) saw us struggling and stopped to help. We had asked if he could help us carry it out to the car and he advised to ask for a lot associate at the cash. The woman at self check out called the lot associate 4 different times, we were waiting outside for more than 20 minutes. A customer walking by offered to help us and put it in the car because, from experience, he knew we'd be there for an hour otherwise. VERY poor customer service at this location. Greeters at the door...how Walmartish (although I've noticed that Walmart no longer does this). Breaking down into sections: Seasonal - excellent selection with reasonable prices Tools - huge variety. If it exists, chances are it's here Lighting - not the best selection, but sales at the end of the season can be hugely appealing Appliance - large selection with competitive prices Lumber - reasonable priced, huge selections Hardware - I had no idea there were so many different types if screws, nails, etc with varying price points Paint - personally not a fan of Behr paint....but satins, spray cans, etc are cheaper than elsewhere Window Coverings - not a huge selection Kitchen/Bathroom - decent prices, some items have to be specialty orders (which delays your project) Flooring - they've really reduced their selections...I shop elsewhere for these items As with any big box store, you have to know your prices. While they offer a price match, if I find an item cheaper elsewhere, I buy it there instead of running to Home Depot. Biggest complaint about this store is that line ups can be long. I've gone in on many occasion where 1 cashier is open (other than self check out) and have left without purchasing something as I wasn't willing to wait in those lines. read more

only reason I'm holding back one star is that ir can take a long time to find an associate/staff to help in aisles. Employees are great just scarce. Went for driveway asphalt patch and was pleasantly surprised how helpful the young man was to help. Grateful that hand sanitizer is provided at both entrance and exit, and the bottles aren't empty. It's a great location I find people are always around when you need them, and if you chat enough with the staff you'll notice how friendly they're and remember you when you return to their store! I had an excellent experience and therefore I looked up Home Depot in yelp and wanted to write a review. Daniel M. at the paints section was the most helpful person ever. He switched my paint for free when I told him that it didn't look like what I expected to and it looked really dark. They have what you need but the service there is absolutely garbage. I waited 15 minutes just to get a chain because only workers can use the chain cutting tool and I also waited an extra 5-10 minutes for someone to help me find a few wall anchors. read more

I have recently opened a new business very close to this Home Depot location, so there is no surprise that I go and buy something everyday, sometimes even twice or three times a day. As this is my first business, I am doing all the renos myself and have a lot of questions in regards to what tools to use, how to install something, etc. There have been 2 employees that have assisted me quite a bit in the last 2 months and I think it's time the received some recognition. First, Rob... he has helped me with all my tool selections and any hardware questions I have had since day one. He has always been the first to approach me and see if I needed anything. He has such a positive, friendly attitude. He definitely provides excellent customer service and makes my life 10 times easier!!! Second, Mary(cashier) she is always smiling and friendly. She too has such a positive attitude towards the customers and her colleagues. Both these employees are the reason I will continue to come to your location! I made a yelp account just to say this. i went to get some paint and was assisted by a young man named Alex though he was not very helpful at all. he gave me attitude when I was having trouble picking a colour of paint for my wife's bedroom and seemed annoyed when i changed my mind several times. i took a lot of crap from a kid with blue hair and frankly i wasn't a happy customer. If you are looking for quality products, helpful customer service or simply someone to answer your questions and communicate with you, do not shop here. I purchased the Ferngate 60in bathroom vanity in March 2015 and immediately noticed that the black countertop was leeching substantial colour whenever wiped with water or cleaning products (white paper towels turning almost completely black). Clearly there was no seal put on or the product is faulty and now it is streaked and faded to the point where it doesn't look like the same product. Put bluntly, it looks terrible and I regret this purchase and doing business with the store. We have contacted this Home Depot several times since then through the store, customer service, over email and phone and have seen no action. It has been 8 months. This issue is not going away and needs to be resolved. Home Depot, please have some integrity and fix this problem. read more
