Clermont is not known for it's antique stores, there are actually very few and none are very impressive but this little gem can be found off of Montrose Street and could be the exception to the rule. It's not a large store but it is filled with some unique items and is actually worth the short jog off the main road if you're passing through the area. The store is clean and organized and was the oasis I was looking for to escape the hot Florida sun the air conditioning was as welcoming as the owner of the shop. Unfortunately Clermont's location doesn't make it one of the "I have to visit" type of places, other than the winery there's really not much to do out this way. In regards to antique shopping there are much better itineraries in Florida.

I'm so glad the denizens of Yelp had already reviewed this particular locale, because I knew I was in for a treat. I only spent a few bucks but I walked out with a fun assortment of treasures! I got some vintage domino pieces I plan to turn into jewelry as well as some old toy pieces, etc. There is such a random assortment of odds and ends, from pure vintage items to glorified junk--you have to be willing to commit to the search, which is half the fun. Unfortunately after a few weeks of going in and learning that my chain was not ready, they texted me to say that they lost my chain but I could go in and choose another one. My heart was broken but Hannah was really patient and helpful in finding a similar chain and I chose (and paid) for a pendant to go along with it. A couple weeks later I moved to another city when I got a text that they found my chain, so drove the 4 hours round-trip to pick it up. They did a good job, were still friendly and waived the $25 mending fee. Things happen but customer service makes all the difference! I'm thrilled to have had a happy ending by being reunited with my gold chain.

The only issue was that it was slightly too long for my liking. So they offered to add a hoop chain at the length I wanted so I didn't have to get rid of the rest of the gold. They did this at no extra charge, going above and beyond. Because of the interactions I had with the lovely employees and owner I decided to take a leap of faith and leave a family heirloom my grandmothers engagement ring she gave to me. Unfortunately it was missing a diamond whe it was gifted to me and needed repair. When I came back to Simmons to pick up my chain and ring both pieces looked amazing and were exactly what I wanted. I was so happy with the result I left some more pieces. 2 rings that needed resizing, a broken chain that needed repairing, and a gold bracelet that needed a couple links removed. I came back about a week later and once again everything looks amazing!!!!! I cannot express how amazing and personable the employees of this shop are. They made me feel so comfortable during the entire process of leaving my family heirlooms to get a bit of a make over.
