It was uncomfortable and I didn't experience any benefits. Also, I was in a room with another person. I think I can speak for them by saying that it was akward. She spent most of the time on her phone telling someone all about her vajacial and I had the pleasure of being in the background of her video call. Following the vajacial was a facial. That was alright but I think there might be other spaces for me to experience a more thorough job that would include recommendations to improve my skin. So would say that you should prepare with a painkiller, if necessary and head on over for their waxing services.

The appointment confirmation listed the time frame as 5:00-5:45 pm, but I decided to allot more than twice that amount of time to ensure that I would make it to my work event at 7:00 that evening. Unfortunately, the start time and timeframe given by the salon turned out to be meaningless. Although I arrived on time, after an initial check in, no one spoke to me for another 45 MINUTES. When I was finally able to speak with Aaliyah's assistant, I asked how long the process would take because I now needed to leave in about an hour. I was then told *for the first time* that all new clients who wanted a silk press needed to receive two preliminary treatments, which each had their own added cost and added 20-30 minute timeframes. As a result, the appointment would take several hours (and cost significantly more). The assistant claimed this information was on the website (more on that later). Needless to say, I could not get my hair done under those circumstances. Not only had the salon wasted my time but it had also left me scrambling to make my hair presentable for the plans I had that evening. Aaliyah may do great hair, I don't know. But this is no way to do business. People with appointments should not be waiting 45 minutes to be seen. And if you are requiring new clients to receive certain treatments in addition to what they have actually requested, state those requirements, timeframes, and costs openly and clearly. Don't bury vague language under a tab people may never even click on (see photos). This way your clients will know what they're signing up for and can plan accordingly.

About five years ago I found someone local who was able to work with my full brows. She had a one-style-fits-all approach for brows that happened to work for my brows. But then I started noticing that depending on her mood, she would take too much hair off or overarch my eyebrows. Then our schedules were hard for me to schedule appointments. So eight months ago I was on the search for another brow artist. I found one through Yelp in NYC close to my job and stuck with her for 5 months hoping that she would be able to one day get the shape right. After 5 months of money down the drain, I searched for another local brow artist on Yelp and found Cynthia. I was praying to the brow gods to help me out. After months of inconsistent eyebrows and not feeling my best (I already mentioned I'm an eyebrow feign), in one session I felt like a brand new woman. I'm so happy I found Cynthia and a bonus is she's super close to my house. I've never written a review for either of my past two eyebrow ladies because I felt that although I liked my brows, something wasn't right about them. They were either too arched or too thin.
