I found out about The Brow Parlour by passing a billboard I saw after moving to Lawton a few months ago. I Yelped them and read some great reviews so I gave the place a try. I tried scheduling an appointment last Thursday, but there no openings from Friday to Sunday. I had a feeling this place was a go-to because they were busy. Because of that, I knew I still wanted to give this place a try so I agreed to be on the call list in case a client cancelled last minute. I received a call the next day saying Joyce (the owner) opened up her schedule on Monday (they're usually closed on Mondays). I had my first eyebrow threading appointment today. It was a great experience. I loved the ambiance of the shop! It was quite homey in there and nicely decorated. Because I was a new client, I had to come in 15 minutes before my appointment to fill out some paperwork. Nothing outrageous or anything. They really care about the safety of all their clients, ensuring no cross contamination or possible allergic reactions to products they use. I've gotten my eyebrows threaded in a variety of places, but I can honestly say I had the best experience with Joyce. Before starting, we took a look at my eyebrows together. She educated me about how eyebrows should be shaped in relation to our face and nose. She told me what areas she would be threading and recommended areas to be left alone. Throughout the threading session, she really took her time, ensuring perfection. You can really tell that she cares about her clients. She's personable and I enjoyed conversing with her during my time in the chair. I loved how my eyebrows looked after she was done! I will definitely come back for maintenance. Joyce is a liar. Stay clear of this place if you're not a "long term customer". There is no signs stating clients are to request the $5 off of the services over $25, yet she states that all clients know this and therefore don't need to be told nor advertised. I will not be going back to this establishment and would much rather travel to Oklahoma City or some other professional and legit business in order to receive care. I love Joyce so much. She was so gentle and sweet. We had a lot of laughs. I had my brows waxed, and I definitely recommend getting the hard wax. The wax was much easier than the soft wax, and for some reason the hard wax didn't hurt as much as the soft wax. Seriously, I felt like I was in another world. Lawton is clearly outdated, but the Brow Parlor makes you feel as if you're in a large city. I went there a few times, but forgot names. I had brazilians done by a black lady who changes her hair up & a German chick named Nina. Both are great! The chick that does brows with dark hair, glasses and bangs is the bomb! She gives you the best shape for your face and keeps it thick! I also had a facial by Nina! Again, BOMB! The customer service reps are friendly and very helpful. Bottom line - I was thoroughly impressed with services, employees, and environment. I was very tempted to give it five stars, but unfortunately, the prices keep me from doing so. I am visiting Oklahoma from California, but prior to coming here, I was unable to fit in time for a Brazilian wax and eyebrow threading. After arriving, I didn't know where to start, considering this is my first time visiting Oklahoma, but I found this place on google/maps. I tried to get appointments for a Brazilian wax and eyebrow threading for the same day, but unfortunately that didn't fit their schedule. Instead, I made an eyebrow threading appointment for Tuesday and Brazilian wax for Wednesday. As soon as I walked in, I was greeted with pleasure, filled out some forms, offered beverages, then was directed to begin my requested services. I walked out feeling relaxed and happy with how my eyebrows looked. I was looking forward to returning the next day. I had the same experience when going for my wax. I've been getting waxed for about three years, and this was arguably the best Brazilian wax I've had. If I wasn't just visiting, I would definitely make this my regular location (apparently they reduce prices as you continue to come here). read more

First off, Joyce is just an awesome human being. She allayed my concerns right away and made me feel I could trust her, which being I was in a pretty vulnerable state for the manzilian ( Male Brazilian ) , is a big deal. This was the second time I had been to the Brow Parlour and the two experiences were the same with respect to quality of service and professionalism of the people I interacted with. Joyce really knows what she is doing to minimize any discomfort and maximize results. Her technique is very quick and that helps a lot,and she doesn't have to go over the same area to pick up any strays that didn't pop loose the first time. Other people have commented that "It really wasn't that bad" and it is true. I did prepare by taking a couple of Motrin/Ibuprofen an hour ahead of my appointment, and that probably helped. I got to my appointment about 10 minutes early and was able to get in and get started immediately. Joyce talked with me about proper aftercare and was happy to fit in some extra services (Ear and Nose(!) waxing) which I can highly recommend for any other men over the age of 40 when you start looking like a bobcat, but without the cuteness. It doesn't hurt to have the ear hairs waxed, and believe it or not, the nose hair waxing wasn't that bad either. It might make your eyes water a little but no worse than if you had to tug out a couple of those wiry hairs on your own, with a little extra impact because it pulled out about a hundred all at once. Joyce is (I believe) the only one who does the Manzilian so I'm pretty sure your experience will parallel mine. After I made my appointments, both times the front desk called and texted to verify with me and on my first visit gave me some advice on getting ready for my first waxing. That was invaluable. I was offered water or coffee when I got there and never felt rushed or unwelcome. If you are a newcomer to waxing, give these nice people a try. They are more than worth the time and effort. read more

Stumbled upon this place driving by and decided to try it out. I was 7 months pregnant the first time I went and Nina did an awesome job with my Brazilian. She really took her time and made sure it was perfect before I left. A few weeks later my husband surprised me with a massage with Tracy for my birthday (because I had been raving about how much I loved the place). She really listened to my needs as far as the pregnancy discomforts I was having and the room was amazing! It had a fire place, need I say more? Very disappointed. Made an appointment online for the following day. Received a call from them but missed it. No voicemail. Go the appointment assuming it's still going to happen. Mind you, I have to leave about 45 minutes ahead of time to get to town. Get there and he can't find my appointment. He tells me he called me and that my voicemail didn't work -- LIE!!! My voicemail does work perfectly... Tries to get me to reschedule. I do to be nice but will not be going back. I should give them the benefit of the doubt but the fact that I was lied to is unacceptable. He hung up before my voicemail even came on.
