    Ube matcha

We attended an event where The Brown Thumb was a vendor, WOW!! Will definitely be traveling all the way to Denton for a matcha now. I got the Ube, I told her what I like and she picked the perfect drink for me. Nutty and vanilla flavor. Hubby got a regular matcha and it was soooo good. So worth the money and drive!

Great quality matcha and super friendly service! I've gone here around 3 times and every time the matcha and coffee has been great. I live 30 minutes away and make the commute because it's worth it! The vibes inside are really nice from the plants, the music, and the people. The menu offers a great variety and it's also a great price for the quality of the drink. I'm looking forward to trying more drinks as I am going to be in Denton more often! It is worth a visit if you are in the area.

I haven't had a perfectly executed Macha in a while, but The Brown Thumb got it right! I was over in Denton and been had this place on my list for a while! Glad I remembered. This place is clean, cute, affordable and BLACK OWNED! Customer Service A1! Everyone smiled and made it pleasant to purchase here!!! Next time I'll grab a plant and try to keep it alive

I visited today and arrived close to 10:45 AM. While trying to find parking I definitely noticed a line outside of the shop 45 minutes after they opened which I was expecting. Because the shop is pretty intimate and there was already a line inside. It did take a while to finally order so definitely give yourself some time when coming on the weekend especially after Keith Lee's review. When we arrived, we were greeted with a flowers then which was such a cute little moment. Folks passed along the menu for guests to look at. Quick tip, take a picture so you can pass along the menu for everyone on the line to take a look. I loved the variety of the Matcha options, especially the ones with Ube, pear and banana. The pear Matcha was very interesting to me because I find that that's super unique and I have not seen this at any place that serves Matcha in my existence. The cashier was super nice and friendly! I picked up the pistachio Matcha and the pear Matcha for my friend. I had a taste of the pear Matcha that my friend ordered and I found it to be super floral but Light. I think for somebody that does not like vanilla or a super sweet drink this might be the best option for you. Now for my pistachio Matcha I thought it was decent. I definitely make a better Matcha personally I found my drink to be a little cloudy and thought it could've done with more Matcha with the ratio in the 12 ounce drink. And I do wish the pistachio was not artificial and more homemade. Aside from that decent drink. This place is super busy on the weekend so please be prepared to wait. Some people are new to matcha so are definitely asking questions by the staff on their best options so be patient. I did learn that they're doing a plant swap so if you bring in canned goods you were able to swap for a plant at the shop which I think is such a neat idea. My critiques are that the ice melts really fast so it definitely changes the integrity of the drink in my opinion. Also, the cold foam that accompanied my pistachio Matcha disintegrated very quickly. I noticed when standing online that they pre-batch their cold foam and it's not put away in the fridge after sitting for a while, so this might be the reason. This is not shade, but a minor critique for the business so they could improve the quality of the drinks. I loved my experience. I didn't enjoy the long line and I thought my drinks were decent and nothing spectacular. Because this is all the way in Denton I would not make the trip from Dallas, but I could see this doing super well if not already in the area especially because I saw quite a few coffee shops. I'm not sure if they sell Matcha, but because of this cafés, unique offerings And niche I wish them much success!!

Firstly- love this place REAL BAD. I love to support locally owned, and they make it easy when it's so good!!!! We've tried all the matchas- they have something for everyone. If you want a sweeter matcha (like me ) definitely try the banana one! If you want something not as sweet, the pistachio or pear are super good. The strawberry pothos lemonade is fire. Even with the lines as long as they have been- shout out Keith Lee- they went SO FAST. Definitely on par with the evil mermaid. And for the same or CHEAPER? I will be back OFTEN

I went today at the recommendation of a friend seeing their info on TikTok! I got there just before they opened at 10am and there was already a line with about 7 people ahead of me. They opened right at 10am and we went in. A lot of plants are available for purchase. I got the snake plant and hoping I can keep it alive!! (Wish me luck, lol) I ordered the cookie butter flavored matcha (forgot exact name) and the one with strawberry. I loved the cookie butter one and my daughter loved hers as well. There was also another vendor in there selling treats/breads. Do pack your patience but it was worth it. I'll definitely go back. The staff was very friendly - and even told me if I needed help with the plant in the future to let them know. You may just hear from me! Hahaha

I've worked with landscapers before and usually you get a lot of talk and not a lot of follow through. This was different. They gave us a few design options, walked us through everything, and actually communicated throughout the whole project which was huge for me. What really stood out was the quality of the work. We've paid for "premium" service in the past and never really felt like we got it. With Blooming Colors, you can tell they care. The details, the cleanup, the way everything came together, it just felt right. Now our backyard is a place we actually want to spend time in again, which I didn't think I'd say a few months ago. We'll be using them going forward for both our home and our rental properties here in Southlake. No question.

I walked into Blooming Colors Nursery on Saturday, ready to spend money and left Wednesday…read morewondering how $500 trees come with $0 worth of integrity (for context, similar Japanese maples run about $115 at Home Depot). Here's the story... Before purchasing, I made it crystal clear I needed HOA approval (as an "exception" because it's not on our approved landscaping list). On that lovely Saturday, the very helpful sales associate, Olivia, confidently assured me I'd get a full refund if the HOA didn't approve. No mention of store credit. No caveats. That promise (and my love for those two trees) was the only reason I agreed to move forward and let them hold the trees on my card. HOA said no. I came back expecting a simple resolution... and instead got a full rewrite of reality. Olivia wasn't there, and the staff immediately insisted there was "no way she would've said that." One employee chimed in, "I trained her myself," followed by questions about whether I "saw all the no-refund signs." The manager doubled down with, "I really don't believe she said that." All of this--despite having a witness that was standing next to me who heard the entire conversation. Let's call it what it was: not confusion... gaslighting. After things escalated, the owner came out, seemingly only after I mentioned disputing the charge. She agree to refund me--but not before trying to shush me, telling me to "be quiet or wait outside," and saying, "I'll refund your money and you can go buy your trees elsewhere." Nothing says "family business values" quite like dismissing a paying customer on the way out. The trees were beautiful, no doubt--but their integrity and respect wilted faster than a Texas agave in August. If you shop here, get everything in writing... because their word clearly doesn't take root. Better yet, don't.

I've come here three times trying to set up an order for Oklahoma Flagstone for my greenhouse I built in January. The first time I met a blonde lady in the office who acted like my grandmother and I were idiots for not having researched the process to order before showing up even though we have been customers of Nowles for years. The second time, we spoke with a young man in very tight shorts who promised to put our name down on a list and call us back as they were "busy planting grasses!" Three weeks later, I call again and get the blonde lady who sounds frustrated I'm bothering her with a call only to learn there is no list and she wants to start the process over again. There was ONE lovely gentleman, named Carlos, who stopped what he was doing and politely helped us each time we showed up. I hope he gets a raise!! Currently Nowles is a waste of time and energy. Reading through previous reviews, it sounds like management is trying their very best to drive this business ALL the way into the ground.

The only reason I tried Noles is because it was closer to my house for the transport of the rock and their website and staff proclaim the cost for 1 cubic yard of river rock is $90. Which is within a few dollars of what I paid at the other establishment for 1 cubic yard. However, the problem is, Noles only gives you half of the amount of product that that other provider does. I have since gone back to the competitor 2 more times and have received the same amount of rock as the first time I frequented them for the $95 they advertise. Which is double what you would get from Noles even though they advertise they will give you the same amount. Once again, the cost is relatively the same both places. I verified with not only the gentlemen that loaded the rock at Noles but also the gentlemen that sold me the rock that this was the correct amount given to. They both said yes. So, moral of the story is do not go to Noles because you will get ripped off. They will only give you half the amount of product they advertise you are obtaining and pay for.
