They gave us a few design options, walked us through everything, and actually communicated throughout the whole project which was huge for me. What really stood out was the quality of the work. We've paid for "premium" service in the past and never really felt like we got it. With Blooming Colors, you can tell they care. The details, the cleanup, the way everything came together, it just felt right. Now our backyard is a place we actually want to spend time in again, which I didn't think I'd say a few months ago. I walked into Blooming Colors Nursery on Saturday, ready to spend money and left Wednesday wondering how $500 trees come with $0 worth of integrity (for context, similar Japanese maples run about $115 at Home Depot). Here's the story... Before purchasing, I made it crystal clear I needed HOA approval (as an "exception" because it's not on our approved landscaping list). On that lovely Saturday, the very helpful sales associate, Olivia, confidently assured me I'd get a full refund if the HOA didn't approve. No mention of store credit. No caveats. That promise (and my love for those two trees) was the only reason I agreed to move forward and let them hold the trees on my card. HOA said no. I came back expecting a simple resolution... and instead got a full rewrite of reality. Olivia wasn't there, and the staff immediately insisted there was "no way she would've said that." One employee chimed in, "I trained her myself," followed by questions about whether I "saw all the no-refund signs." The manager doubled down with, "I really don't believe she said that." All of this--despite having a witness that was standing next to me who heard the entire conversation. Let's call it what it was: not confusion... gaslighting. After things escalated, the owner came out, seemingly only after I mentioned disputing the charge. She agree to refund me--but not before trying to shush me, telling me to "be quiet or wait outside," and saying, "I'll refund your money and you can go buy your trees elsewhere." Nothing says "family business values" quite like dismissing a paying customer on the way out. The trees were beautiful, no doubt--but their integrity and respect wilted faster than a Texas agave in August. Bought a fountain for our front yard and it is beautiful! the most special part of our purchase was the installation team led by Israel Ochoa...a real fountain professional. This Nursery has such an amazing selection from all different types of shrubs and trees. They have a really great warranty and even offer free deliveries to local cities near. This place is amazing! The landscape design team is top-notch and the trees that were installed at my home are thriving! We had so much fun walking around the nursery and picking out the exact plants we wanted and now I get to see them in my front yard every day. Some of our neighbors use their landscape maintenance service and my goodness their yards look like manicured showpieces, whenever I'm ready to give up taking care of my own yard this will be who I use. Bought a 25gallon tree and scheduled a planting date. Tree was planted a day earlier than agreed to while I was not home. They broke limbs and didn't use the bags of dirt I purchased for planting. I called and spoke to the owner, Nick. As I was voicing my disappointment with the process, he started shouting and telling me to listen or "good luck". This young man should not be in business talking to customers like this. I let him speak and he went on a long unrelated speech about his company's process never addressing anything about my concerns or offering to make things right. He was very unprofessional and condescending. I would not recommend this place, simply because it is being run by a very unprofessional owner. I am including some pictures of damage and how they used my pile of pea gravel to place around the tree. Well shortly after I posted the review above, the "owner" Nick called me with his number blocked. I ignored it, and he kept calling back as soon as I rejected the "no caller ID" call. He just kept calling, on the third call my wife asked me to answer, I answered on speaker, it was Nick, my wife and a friend of ours were listening. Very first thing Nick said was, "so you want a free tree huh?"...I responded, No Nick, I don't want anything free. He started saying something and I said have a good day Nick and I hung up. He tried calling several times again and I just ignored him. As for Nick's claim of me berating his employee..well not true, I asked to speak to the owner and got you Nick, who on the other hand started yelling and talking over me. So, no Nick I will never be your customer again and I will make sure my friends and neighbors know about the way you treat customers. Now Nick, do not try and contact me again. This by far is one of my favorite nurseries and the Metroplex. I am super impressed! I came in here on my lunch break to look for a few plants for my patio at home. While I was there I was blown away at the selection that they had poor plants for my yard as well. So needless to say I got sidetracked and wandering around looking at the trees and shrubs and other plants and what was one of the best settings of any local Nursery. Meanwhile the staff was super friendly and very helpful and cater to my every need. I was seriously asked by no less than four or five employees if there is anything that I needed. When I was finally ready to start making some decisions Taylor, one of the friendly workers was right there to help. She checked prices for me and also helped guide me to the perfect plants for my patio and my front porch! Great store, great selection. The young man that helped us wasn't very knowledgeable. I asked to see crape myrtles. He showed me about 10 and said that's all we have. Later, the young lady showed me about 100 more right around the corner. Someone needs a little better training. All the crape myrtles were in great shape, just not the ones I wanted. The pricing and service is impeccable for the most part. I ordered some large plants that were to be delivered and planted however they had a schedule conflict so they couldn't do it in time. However, we picked it up and planted it ourselves. They were apologetic and gave us some root stim. I've ordered quite a bit since and overall very pleased with the quality of product and service. I will be back again to hopefully make my review 5 stars. As far as the other negative reviews that are on here I'd have to say they are not at all what I've experienced so definitely give this place a chance. read more

I recently visited this garden center as well as many others. They do have a a great selection of sunny perennials, especially salvias and sage. I even saw a hummingbird on the autumn sage. I have gotten hard to find meadow sage, skycraper, blue suede. They are pricer than other places for a gallon ($12.99) compared to Marshall Grain, Flower Ranch and Landscape Systems ($9.99). But they do sometimes have small 4 inch (which I don't find often even if sign posted). So far smaller yard or of I want multiple areas, I have gotten catmint walker , sage, sedum, and lamb ears in small can. I would check this place for that specific kind of plants to complete your collection (phlox, brunnera, astible, hydrangea (oak and limelight), Chinese snowball shrub, etc. I dven found a hardy geranium to complement my roses. They don't carry unique roses other than drift and knockouts. They did carry Belinda dream. I suggest they carry climbing roses or fragrant varieties. They do carry beautiful weeping redbud (pricey!), hibiscus , rose of sharon but only in big sizes so check with other nursery as well read more

I don't usually write reviews but our experience with Blooming Colors Nursery was such a positive experience that I had too write one! The customer service and the time they spent with me to fully understand which tree would be best to plant in the area and environment we were planning to plant it, exceeded all expectations. My mom passed away a year ago and our family wanted to plant a tree at the Hospice center in memory of her. This has been a very emotional week for me and our family. We first contacted Blooming Colors about 2 weeks ago. We had bought some plants, trees and flowers while living in Colleyville from them so we knew they had a great selection. However we now live in Houston so making this happen was not an easy feat. We are all coming to the DFW area to share special memories of my mom and celebrate her life. I wanted the tree to be perfect. I spoke to Kristen, the manger at Blooming Colors and she taught me so much, sending me multiple names of specific trees that could handle the Texas heat and the sometimes freezing weather that Dallas has. She sent pictures for us so we could see the multiple choices they had at the Nursery to choose from. The nursery is beautiful and they have so many different options. Everything there is so healthy. They treated me with respect and kindness. We were even able to get it scheduled for planting, meeting the dates I requested!! I very rarely write reviews, but this nursery is not knowledgeable or simply uninvolved and I just feel like this needed to be said. My husband and I purchased an Arizona cypress tree here about a year ago that was a bit leggy and had some brown spots so it was marked down. We were told to prune it back and it would fill in just fine. It's a year later, still has brown spots all over it. Upon closer look, these spots are actually something called bagworms (thank you google) and not a natural part of the tree. It's apparently been infested with these larvae since we bought it and could have spread to our other trees. Other than that, the place is generally overpriced and the plants just don't look well cared for. Either really know what to look for when you come here or don't go. read more

Great local family owned nursery in Grapevine/Southlake area; my husband and I found ourselves here after Home Depot wouldn't sell us a Christmas tree prior to Thanksgiving, and I'm actually glad they didn't because we got to discover this gem! Wonderful selections, we found out they will even personally select and set aside Christmas trees and wreaths for customers that call in and want to reserve the top picks from the arrivals before they get picked over, I love this idea, and will definitely be trying it next year. Customer service here is some of the best I've ever experienced, and the reason this place deserves 5 stars, they were willing to sell us a tree as they were unloading them and a wreath that ended up being miss-marked was still honored at the originally quoted price! Found this business while looking for a Christmas Tree. You can always tell a lot by the demeanor of staff. We were met with smiles and a genuine desire to help us find that perfect tree. Our tree was cut in the Carolinas and delivered fresh in 2 days. The thing that really separates Blooming Colors is the fact they deliver your tree and pre-place it in your own tree stand. (Major headache eliminator.) They also have a great selection of home and yard gardening items. We are having them quote a pergola build for our back yard. The owner, Barry Johnson, came over and took the measurements. Again, very personable and professional. Will followup on Yelp after the work is completed. I purchased a palm tree in April. 6 weeks later, they finally planted A TREE, but not even close to the tree I purchased. ( The value was far different) The tree I purchased had lots of full fronds and stood 6 feet tall. The tree they brought had a few lonely fronds sticking out of the top. I live in Colleyville and drove past the tree daily so it was a complete delivery mix up on their part. We have been trying to get them to properly fix the drainage in our back yard for over a year (they are contracted by our builder). They never come when they say they will (we're talking days, weeks, sometimes months), and then have never been able to fix the actual problem despite 4-5 trips. They have done things we haven't authorized and still not done the things we ask for. Our yard is a disaster. The final straw was when they were supposed re-grade our entire yard and instead they dug a ditch to the center with a huge hole under our fence that our children can crawl under towards a dangerous pond!
