Food was fantastic. Kind of pricey. Lots of variety and the roast beef dips are the best by far. The atmosphere is casual.

**A Most Noble Review of Romiro's Bar & Restaurant, in Othello**…read more Hark! What light through yonder tavern breaks? 'Tis **Romiro's**, resplendent in its revelry, a house of mirth and sustenance where the weary traveler may lay down his burdens and be lifted anon by the bounteous delights within. Oh, Othello! Thy name doth conjure tragedy most profound, yet in this place, all sorrow is **banished**! Here, the **drink doth flow like Desdemona's boundless love**, and the feast is arrayed in splendor befitting a Venetian lord. What villainy to name a city thus, evoking jealous rage and woeful fate--yet blessed is this house that **defies the stars**, for within its walls no betrayal may take root, no Iago may weave deceit! Lo! The **wines do sing**, smooth as honeyed verse; the ales rise **foamy and full** as a noble sonnet. The meats, cooked to perfection, are as tender as Desdemona's heart, and the service is fleet-footed as Mercutio in his merry jesting. Wouldst thou seek treachery in thy supper? Nay! There is **no poisoned chalice here**, no cursed hand to snatch away joy! Only laughter, only revels, only **the truest camaraderie**, where kin and strangers alike do join hands as if Verona had never known its feuding woe. Othello, Othello! If only thy tale were set here--thy jealousy would have found no purchase, thy love no tragic undoing. For at **Romero's**, all is harmony, all is delight, all is served with a grace that would make even Shakespeare himself cry, *"This be the happiest of houses!"* **Five stars! Nay, five galaxies!** A banquet most fair, a drink divine, and a memory ever cherished--mayhap, were I to perish, my last breath should whisper not of woe, but of Romiro's, where love and ale do ever reign.

**Ripple Tavern: A Glorious Watering Hole That Betrays Its Own Name**…read more Let's get one thing straight--the **Ripple Tavern** is an absolute treasure. The booze selection? **Exquisite.** Whether you're craving a craft cocktail with the precision of a master mixologist or a whiskey so smooth it makes time stand still, **they've got it all**. The bartenders? **The best in the business.** They're friendly, fast, and somehow remember your drink order better than you do. This place is a **haven of hospitality**, a **sanctuary of spirits**, and a **cathedral of good times**. But here's the thing--**where is the Ripple?** I walked into the Ripple Tavern expecting one thing above all else: **Ripple Fortified Wine**, the legendary cheap nectar famously chugged by **Redd Foxx** as Fred G. Sanford on *Sanford and Son*. And what did I find? A **complete and utter absence of Ripple**. None. Not a single dusty bottle hidden behind the bar, not a forgotten case tucked away in the back. **A travesty. A betrayal. A crime against nostalgia itself.** Imagine the audacity of naming a bar **Ripple Tavern** and **refusing** to serve the drink that made junkyard philosophers out of America's finest. How dare they rob patrons of the chance to channel their inner Fred Sanford, hoisting a bottle, delivering an impassioned rant, and clutching their chest in mock heart attack fashion while hollering, "Elizabeth, I'm comin' to join ya, honey!" If ever there were a place where such theatrics should be encouraged, **it is here**. And yet, **Ripple Tavern** refuses to complete its destiny. The oversight is so egregious that I fear a disturbance in the cosmic order--*Sanford and Son* reruns may now play slightly out of sync, junkyards across America may feel inexplicably lonely, and somewhere, deep in the heart of television history, Redd Foxx himself may be shaking his head in disapproval. Still, five stars. **Because even without Ripple, this place is a glorious den of liquid joy.** But know this--if ever they decide to **right this wrong**, if ever a bottle of **Ripple Fortified Wine** finally takes its rightful place behind that bar, then--and only then--will **Ripple Tavern** achieve **true greatness**. Until that day arrives, I shall sip my whiskey with dignity--while quietly mourning what could have been.

This place is not worth anything speakable, food service and ambiance all suck. Did not take…read morepictures of my burger but it was thin and over cooked. To give this review some context, my wife and I support pretty much all of the bars in town...Ten…read morePin, Rick's, Sporty's, Ripple, ML Tap House, Rock Top, Michaels, Paradise, Bob's, Enzo, Danny's...to name a few. This is a small community and the options are somewhat limited to be sure. Every establishment has it's quirks and that's to be expected...we LOVE a good dive bar. After trying to visit and it being closed on a couple of occasions, we finally went to Chilly Mack's for the first (and last) time last night, March 27, 2026 at 8pm. First thing we noticed was the musty smell. There's no carpet in there so you gotta wonder where it's coming from. Next thing we noticed is that there are only 2 other patrons in the entire bar...at 8pm on a Friday night. The barkeep takes our drink order and is quick to deliver. I asked why it's so dead and he said it would be packed after 10pm. (We'd just left Ripple and it was pretty busy.) That's the extent of our interaction with him until we tabbed out. Didn't ask if we wanted food, didn't check to see how the drinks were...all he did the entire time was talk to the two other people there who were obviously his friends. Actually, a couple of younger ladies came in about 10 minutes after we got there, got some drinks and were then ignored like we were. Couple of other things that caught our attention. 1. The menu on the board looked decent for a dive bar...but again, we weren't offered an actual menu or asked if we wanted food. 2. We understand that it isn't named "CHILI MAC'S"...it's CHILLY MACK'S...but wouldn't you wanna play on that and make damned sure you have the best chili mac and/or every viable variation thereof in town? This place has absolutely no identity. 3. There were 6 taps but only 4 being used. 4. Lots of TVs above the bar...that was nice. We finished our drinks, tabbed out and went to Rick's. We got there around 8:30pm and it, just like Ripple, was very busy. Hmmm. It's hard to imagine a drinking establishment (Chilly Mack's) can survive on only being busy after 10pm on a Friday night? With all that being said, we won't be visiting Chilly Mack's again which is very disappointing. We weren't expecting a lot...it IS a dive bar and we knew that going in...but this was not a positive experience. We wish the new ownership the best of luck for the future.
