We so badly wanted to write a good review about this restaurant, unfortunately however we really can't. The problem was the server (who was also the bartender), who was distracted and seemed incompetent. When I asked about the price of an item on the menu, she couldn't tell me. She had to go to the "new" electronic cashier system she was using and figure it out. We then ordered. Our dinners arrived and mine was completely different from what I ordered. When I asked about it, she looked embarrassed, apologized and then gave me a discount (not sure how much it was, as we didn't receive an itemized receipt). We sat at one end of the bar and their were two male patrons at the far end. She spent her entire evening talking with the two men and seemed indifferent to us. The saving grace for the evening was the owner, who is a delightful lady and came up to chat with us for a bit to just see how we were doing. read more

As good as it gets for a family run tavern. Especially when it comes to a traditional Prime Rib night. I guess they've been doing it for over 40 years, and that experience comes shining through. We made reservations a few days before, and requested the 10oz cut for each of us; me, knowing darned well the Wifey couldn't finish hers and I would have to assist. Well, we got way more than 10oz cuts, and even I couldn't finish mine. And, they have a pre-2020 phenomenon that drives the coastal progressives insane--an actual salad bar! Yes they do, baby. My leftover beef is currently being paired up with eggs, hash browns and toast back at the campground this beautiful Spring morning. Such friendly folks running the place, too. the salad bar is the best in Othello the food is good the service is lacking and they charge 3% for using credit card and then demand a tip?

One star because they are still open. How far they have fallen! Last time we went, which was & will remain the FINAL time, prices had jumped by quite a bit. Prime rib was tough, fatty and swimming in plate of juice. Service was awful, salad bar just this side of disgusting. For what we paid for this second rate meal, we could have had a nice meal in a nice clean place with atmosphere and good service! NEVERMORE! BEWARE: read your receipt. They "offer" you choice with your meal that often times is add on! $13.50 for that salad bar? You must be kidding. read more

I have loved coming in for the Prime rib dinner for 20 years. I currently moved out of the area and stop by occasionally. Last weekend we stopped by on a Saturday for dinner. I called to see how late they were serving food at about 6 o'clock. They said until about 9. We stopped in for dinner about 6:45. It took them awhile to bring us menus. The place wasn't busy and there were 3 employees working. Perry had the fish and chips. They didn't bring his garlic bread and ignored his question about it coming with the meal. They totally ignored us until 8 o'clock in which they said you must leave; you need to pay your tab and get out. We have a small emergency. read more

I would highly recommend The Brunswick if you are looking for real food and tasty drinks. Dining there was a refreshing bit of normalcy in these crazy times. The atmosphere was warm and welcoming and so was the friendly staff. I had the best margarita I've ever had, hands down. The food was great and tasted like home cooking. It was served with a normal basket of condiments including salt and pepper which has become unheard of. Everything was spotlessly clean. Mike and I came here to meet up with Pete G. The other captain of the team. A few beers and some food and the gang was talking softball. Burgers look full and beers were pouring. Looked like a great place to eat dinner if you need steaks and potatos. It was Prime rib night. $12 and you get a slab of beef that covers your entire plate. Chow down and you are a happy man. The place is decorated with stuffed animal heads. Hunting pictures and gave a real home town feel. If your ever really hungry this place is the joint to come. Farm fed beef on your plate. Step back in time, circa 1970's steak dinner, complete with a salad bar, heated stainless steel plate, baked potato and the most generous wine pour west of this decade. Oh, and did you see the French dip and saucer of Au Jus? That is a half sandwich!!! The food is not bad. But they need a Gordon Ramsay 24 hr make over! If u go to the salad bar and look into the kitchen, it will gross u out! The oven and grill area, you can see all the drippings and splashed food one can't see the front I've the oven or grill front! The salad bar has old lettuce that is brown and the dressing has a crust on it. There is the food and depree on the floor? After watching 24 hr. We ate here last week (Feb. 12, 2015). The food was gross - and not to mention greasy! My husband had the mushroom burger with tots, I made the mistake of ordering the Chicken Fajita Salad. The chicken on my salad was rubbery and tasted old. I can only guess that they use chef "mike" as in Microwave to heat the pale beige rubbery chicken. EWWW! The burger and tots were dripping in grease. The kitchen area where they have their flat top grill, looked like it was made of cast iron instead what it was made from - clean stainless steel. It's that dirty! This place is a bonafide Kitchen Nightmare for sure! I picked the chicken off my salad and just ate the lettuce. All I could think of was "What would Gordon Ramsey have to say"? For Othello, this is a great place to eat. Food is great, but service is a little on the slow side. I enjoyed a BBQ Chicken Burger and it was delicious-- good sauce and thick, delicious bacon. Everything is fresh and they have BOTH Coke and Pepsi products!! Nice, quiet, atmosphere. read more

Food was fantastic. Kind of pricey. Lots of variety and the roast beef dips are the best by far. The atmosphere is casual.

My kids and I ate here last night. I was very impressed with the atmosphere of the place. I ate the bacon cheeseburger with BBQ and fries. It was one of the best burgers I've had in a while. Wait staff and cooks were very friendly. The only thing I was shocked was the price of a can of Diet Pepsi. $2.00!! (Per can). Other than this price hike, the food prices were very reasonable. I was in town on business. This is the best place to eat in Othello. Great Rib Eye steaks especially when Molly is cooking. She recommended the French Dip for lunch and they are huge. You will not go away hungery. I have been told the fish is also good. read more
