BC has lost a step since it was sold to LIDS a few years ago. What was once a local company with a local presence, that had its thumbs on the needs and wants of its customers--Buckeye fans--and its knees deep in the culture, is now render little more than a glorified Foot Locker. At lost is sufficient service and unique inventory not found anywhere else. Hunting for a gift I found the selection to be everyday. For the general needs of fans, or anyone else that like Ohio State stuff it will do. Shirts, sweaters, jerseys, sweats, shorts, cute women's wear are plentiful, but nothing special that you can't find in town at JC Pennies, Macy's, a mall hole-in-the-wall, Wal Mart, Kroger's, Drug Mart, a gas station, flea markets, garage sales, and fencers working Pearl Alley, your mom's hand-me-downs, you get the picture. I mean thay have LOTS of that generic stuff. If you want a decent scarlet tee with the Block O stitched on it and don't want to shop around this is your place. But it lacks special items that says you didn't phone in Christmas shopping. (Oh gees you found a Ohio State shirt in Columbus, how did you ever do it!) There was no monogramed items, or cool designs, or novelties. Also I feel the fun of this store has drained away with the control of a giant corps. It just has less a festive feel and more a Foot Locker one. In short, it has lots of Buckeye stuff, just not much cool unique things. read more

I highly enjoyed this store. Came in after getting a bite to eat and there were many deals to pick from. I was wanting to buy a lot of hoodies and some shirts and a jersey. I passed for now and got a long sleeve. I'll definitely be back since the employees were friendly and was willing to help out. read more

Bought an Ohio State buckeyes sweatshirt! After washing it once the Buckeye logo came off and underneath it said Bulldogs, and which we actually lost to the Bulldogs saturday 1/31 2022 . I called Buckeye corner. They said they couldn't do anything because I don't live in Columbus anymore. I was back visiting and that's when I bought my sweatshirt. Though not as well-stocked as the Sawmill Road location, this branch of the Buckeye Corner has as many OSU products as any human being is likely to want. Shoppers will find jackets, hoodies, bags, and t-shirts galore (more than ones that just have a scarlet "O" on a gray background). The store also boasts more unexpected items like lamps and underwear...yikes. Prices are high, but this is officially licensed stuff. You'll have that! read more

TL;DR: I give this place 2 stars only because they have a decent selection of XL and XXL men's t-shirts and sweatshirts. Will not shop there anymore though. Man, this place is like really bad, and it's all because of the service. I have made 7-10 purchases from here over the last few years and will never step foot inside it again. The staff is routinely grumpy, refused to honor discounts I had received over email, and were having unprofessional conversations out on the floor. When I walk in the door, nobody greets me. I generally don't like associates trying to make conversation when I'm shopping, but a simple "welcome in" or "hello" is pretty much mandatory to let customers know you are acknowledging them and who they can turn to if they need some help. The last time that I was in the store, two women were discussing some man's...equipment...and passing pictures back and forth, actively and loudly critiquing its length, girth, quality of shave, and how he performed in the sack. I gave them looks of disbelief, and one of them looked at me and very rudely said "mind your own business!" At that point, I put the few shirts I had in my hand back on the table and walked out of the store. I went home and sent an email to Lids (the company that owns the store) explaining that I witnessed, and never heard anything back from them. There are a number of places in town to get Buckeye gear. The Buckeye Corner is the one stop Buckeye Shop! Everything you can imagine to have a Buckeye logo on it will be in this store or on their online shop. They have a great selection. A lot of their items are official, so you'll pay a bit more than you may for a knock-off. The staff is always friendly and very helpful! read more

I love shopping here for all my buckeye gear! I do prefer buckeye corner over the OSU bookstore. There's free parking and most times I am the only person in the store. The staff are super friendly and helpful. My only caveat are the prices of collegiate wear is so expensive so I mostly search online for items I could wait for. read more

I want everything in this store!

I miss the old days when this was a locally owned business with employees and managers that were for the fans and not just there as a job for a corporate hierarchy. At this point in their evolution I feel lime I am walking into the sporting good section at JC Penny's or Kohls. They serve football and basketball and ignore products that reflect the other 30+ sports at Ohio State. Walmart has as many novelty products as the BC. Avoid this place like the plague on game days, black fridays, and just before Christmas, limited registers and very long lines. I think I am switching back to Conrads or College Traditions. I miss Longs book store. Shop online and avoid the lines, they aren't going to give you a deal on anything. read more

Ordered my Blackout Buckeye Jersey and hat on 10/3 for the Penn State game on 10/17, it's 10/15 and I still have not received my purchase! Shipping was supposed to take no longer than 5 days. So I call the 1-800 number on the website and got a call center in India, which I then realized this wasn't going to end well. After 5min on hold they come back to tell me, "Ohh sir so very sorry but your items will be shipping today and won't be arriving until 10/23". Which is well after the frikking Penn State game! What's the point! This is the first and last time I buy anything from Buckeye Corner. Way to underwhelm your customers! read more

I ordered a hat then called 3 hours later to cancel the order. The horrible customer service rep said its too late it has been shipped. Then after questioning that it actually had been he said its ready to ship. That's lie number one. I asked him to stop it and he said he can't. I asked if they paid postage on returns. He said yes. That's lie number two. I just received my order and there is no prepaid postage for returns in the box. If you want bad customer service from people that lie then order from here. I grew up as a Buckeye fan, graduated OSU and visit this location almost every trip to Columbus. My size is medium and it JUST DRIVES ME NUTS how often this dang store is sold out of mediums! XL? Sure they got that. XXL? Yep no problem. Smalls also plentiful. I'm pretty disappointed in my first and last business transaction with "The Buckeye Corner" for the following reasons: 1) Misrepresented inventory on website 2) Takes 1 week to collect my money for an order but 5-6 weeks to give it back. Unless of course I want to waste more of my time to make up for their shortcomings as a business to call with my tracking number? Then it magically takes only takes 3-4 weeks? 3) Product quality/value.....$60 for a poorly made/no brand windbreaker that would linger on the shelf at Walmart for half the price! After threatening to post this review, my purchase was refunded, shipping was payed for and this all happened within 24hrs. Still poor business practice.... read more

Simply disappointed. I got a shirt from buckeye corner and unfortunately it did not fit. Returned to store to exchange and they did not have my size. I was advised by staff to get a refund and order online. When the return was made, the associate did not verify what card the refund was going back on. It was a gift card that had already been destroyed. So effectively, they took my $43 and threw it in the garbage. I called 3 times to get a resolution and they would never return the communication after promising to do so each time. Finally they just refused to do anything, not even a store credit. Poor customer service after repeated poor customer service. I will not be doing business with again. read more

What happened to this place? Years ago I would buy a shirt or sweatshirt here and it was always of highest quality. Now Walmart has better quality. Not sure what happened but I won't spend top dollar on low quality again. read more
