I ordered a rotary fly tying vise on 4/21/24 and I drove 2…read morehours to pick my online order and when I got there to pick my order, what they brought out was unacceptable. The vise did not come in its original sealed packaging. It was delivered from another SW store, which they wrapped in literally trash. The vise looked used and when you buy anything new it comes with paper work (manual, accessories, warranty, etc), but supposedly according to their website it was shipped from another SW store and was probably a used or turned in by another unhappy customer. I took pictures of the packaging and the store manager at the Farmington NM store didn't have an explanation or offer me any options. This is very concerning and disappointing. I was so upset that I wrote to the SW customer service as soon as I left the store, which was within 5 mins, that's how upset I was. It takes years to build a good customer relationship, but it only takes a few mins to lose a loyal customer. Update: 5/16/24 Today a member from the Sportsman's Warehouse management team reached out to me and I was glad I got an actual call back and they explained what had happened and clarified some questions. Happy to say that SW took ownership of their mistake. I'm glad that I'll continue to be a loyal customer.

The owner was extremely helpful and helped me secure a good one. I didn't pick up a tackle box that time, and totally regretted it. But I did, on my 2nd trip, and they had a great deal on a tackle box with all the essentials inside. I just had to pick up some bait (yes, they have live bait too). I took my family of 6 on the 2hr trip that started from Flora Vista through Famington's Boyd park on the Animas river. Our guide was so friendly and we got along very well, it was the most fun we've had since the COVID lockdowns. The weather was perfect and the splashes kept us cool, we did have a few rapids but it was totally fun for all of us. My family has never been on a rafting trip and our guide gave us detailed instructions on what to do on the river. We seen all sorts of wildlife and got to see a rare sight of Farmington. We loved every minute of it and we'll be back for more river adventures....highly recommended and two thumbs up!!! So quit reading this and go book your rafting trip. We spent a week together exploring Durango and the attractions here. One of our favorite experiences was white water rafting with Mountain Waters. The staff was super communicative and helpful. We booked a moderate run with class 1-3 rapids, since we had a big range of ages (my Dad is 77 and we had a party of 10 with ages ranging down to my 10-y-o son). They advised that this would be best for our family, and they were correct. I'd love to come back and do some class 3-4 rapids now that we have had some experience. Our guide Hannah was knowledgeable and very kind. We had a great experience with the team. No complaints at all. Highly recommend.
