I've been gym hopping for a few years since I was unable to find a spot with a good mix of classes,…read moreexercises and trainers that I enjoyed working with. This place has really changed that for me. The trainers are amazing here- some of the best I've had. There is a method to their strength and conditioning where they focus on certain parts of the body each class and have a focus each month. Monday's and Wednesday's are known as strength days and Tuesdays and Thursdays are cardio days. Fridays are cardio boxing days and Saturday and sundays are the playground days. These classes have set exercises and intervals each time and the trainers run through each exercise and what the interval means before starting the workout. Then they end with a finisher that changes up each time. The trainers also truly care about form and pushing you to help you get stronger!

Fearless Fitness is awesome ! After being a loyal client of another local boot camp gym (for…read moreyears), I switched to Fearless for three main reasons : 1) early morning class time --5:30am which is crucial for me as I have to be at work by 7:30am. Side note : moving it even earlier (5:15) would be amazing !!! 2) individual attention from trainers-- trainers thoroughly explaining each workout and movement to make sure you are using the appropriate weight and motion -- much less chance of getting hurt !! 3) workouts stick to a "plan" each day of the week Mondays and Wednesdays are strength focused Tuesdays and Thursdays are more cardio Fridays are boxing !!! Love this And the weekend classes are a mix of everything (sure to kick your butt!!!) The only reasons I am not giving it 5 stars are because 1)some (not all) trainers do not start class on time and it's really frustrating if you have a tight schedule (in the mornings ) to be waiting 5 or so minutes to start class And 2) as this gym grows and classes can sometimes have 20+ people they need to accommodate this and have enough equipment for each station (or make extra stations) and have an extra trainer at the class for that individual attention Overall I am a happy client and hopefully they will work through these growing pains -- they are expanding to a second location!!!

I've been on a serious fitness/weight loss mission for about 15 months now. At around month 10, I…read morenoticed that I was reaching a plateau, and that I needed to do something to jump-start my regimen. I had seen a shiny black pickup truck emblazened with the Mission Fitness logo while driving around town, so one Saturday, I decided to stop in. That's when I met Matt, the owner, and after sizing up the place, I sprung for a 30-session pass on the spot. I'm so happy that I did; in fact, I just purchased a new set of 30. I had no idea what to expect regarding boot camp, and I was happy when I discovered that it isn't about instructors screaming in your face. In each class, we do a lot of things: jumping up and down on a step while holding a weight, making waves out of a huge rope, performing pushups, situps and the evil burpees, maneuvers with medicine balls and other equipment, and sprinting inside and out. Do I love every moment of the class? Absolutely not! It's hard work. But I feel like I've made strides, and I have a terrific feeling of accomplishment, even when I have to take a break when others persevere. The best thing about Mission Fitness is the people. Matt and co-owner Darcy, (brother and sister), and all the instructors are extremely supportive. I feel like they care about me and my fellow participants. It's not just a business to them; they are dedicated to the success of all of us. I love Mission Fitness.

In…read moreaddition to loosing a combined 35 lbs, we adapted an overall healthier lifestyle and make fitness a priority each week. At MF, you will find a positive environment, encouraging trainers, and a VERY loyal clientele. The gym offers classes & personal training only. I believe the workout you get in just one class is equal to a week's worth of going to a regular gym - maybe more. The best way to see if this gym is right for you is to go to the happy hour bootcamp at 5:30pm on Fridays. It's only $5 and I guarantee you'll leave in a better state of mind than when you arrived.

After my first class I sat on the floor and I thought, "Omg, I cant' do this." But the trainer came over and sat on the floor with me, and said "Don't give up on yourself, you can do this, the hardest part was getting here, now you're here, let us help you do the rest." That trainers words changed my life in that moment. If you want sincere support and to be with people just like yourself who are looking to get healthy, to get strong, then this is the place to be. Every class is great, every trainer is truly looking to help you succeed and they are educated. I was limited in so many ways and each one of them helped adjust the movements so I could still get the results. Where can you find that? Here At M.E.L.T. I can't thank them enough for helping me believe in myself again, and the way they have boosted my confidence. Tami M. (I GOT THIS!)

MELT offers a one-free week trial membership. And after one week, I knew I had to sign up…read more I've done gyms for years. Used them irregularly at best. MELT is the anti-gym experience. You have a good-sized facility, trainers who know your name and want you to come in for training, and the workouts are challenging to your fitness level. They last 30 minutes. Quick does not equal easy. Au contraire, mon frere! You're moving the whole time, under the watchful eye of your trainer, and by the end, you will find yourself sweaty, tired, and thankful you survived. Think you can't "handle" boot camp classes? Neither did I until I went and saw that they customize your workout to your level and work around injuries. There are all ages, sizes and fitness levels that go. Feel self-conscious? Surprisingly, I've never felt any judgement. You're too busy trying to get through each station of the workout to notice anything other than what you're doing. I've been going to MELT for 4 months now. I go about 3-5x a week and I have not done the same exercise twice. They have three locations: Glastonbury, South Windsor, and Harwinton. And the other thing about MELT classes: they know you, and they know what you're capable of, and thus they know when you're slacking! The trainer will come over, give you a little smile, hand you a heavier weight, modify the form of an exercise, or make you drop deeper into a squat or lunge while asking you perkily: "Do you feel that now?" Oh, and if you're a woman thinking this isn't for you: think again. Just as many women attend then men. There are equal number of male and female trainers, too. This is not those boot camps where the trainers yell at you. They definitely push you. They motivate you. And they congratulate you. You will discover that your body, and you, are much stronger than you ever thought you could be. Your win is their win.

I've never seen a gym as crowded as it was today, granted it is the holidays. Front desk told me they sell day passes which contributed to the volume of patrons. It was so crowded, I literally turned around and left. I can't imagine what January is going to look like. Lastly, a number of the members have no gym etiquette at all. Many times standing around monopolizing equipment, sometimes dancing or wrestling with each other while others are waiting to use machines. Too bad, this could be great.

However, there's so many girls in the locker room taking pictures of themselves and videos and when you come out of the shower a towel wrapped around you the last thing you want is someone taking a video of you going behind them while they're showing their body off . the cell phone use is crazy . also the TV in the sauna completely negates the relaxation of the sauna that's why I left that place. It was just too many low class people posing on Instagram and Facebook instead of going there for the experience of exercising and being healthy. What they need to do is charge a lot more for a membership. This will encourage people that are good quality to come in the low quality people will stop coming there. They also need to hire people that will go around in the locker rooms and tell people not to be on their cell phones I also had a one personal training session with a girl who really knew nothing about what she was doing. She called herself a personal trainer, but she really knew nothing. Additionally, she kind of discouraged me after I said that I was using the all women's area which now has to have men there because the place got sued for not allowing men there which is a whole Nother story . anyway she said that the machines in the wall women's section weren't a complete circuit and she discouraged me even though I was making a lot of strides doing that. I thought that was really bad, especially since she's a personal trainer. Those are all the reasons I left that place not to mention the fact that they rope you into a contract and make it virtually impossible to get out of it.
