The service is like visiting your Italian great Auntie; friendly and fun. But, you go there for the food. We arrived at 11:30 AM, and the door was locked, but thankfully an employee noticed us and unlocked the door. Another customer told us that the building used to be a coalmine store. I noticed that the interior looked rustic, with exposed brick and crooked floors. The women's bathroom was clean. The employee provided very courteous service. The menu listed appetizers (e.g., fried provolone and calamari), salads, sandwiches, mains (e.g., pastas, veal parmesan, and chicken picatta), and alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages. Here are my ratings for what we ordered: Small chicken parmesan - 4 stars - The small size was actually pretty big a definitely enough for one person to eat. The chicken, sauce, and cheese tasted very good, but I prefer crispier breading. Meatball sandwich - 3 stars - My husband ate this sandwich. He said that the meatballs tasted "interesting" and that the bread could have more flavor. I thought that it tasted alright. Caesar salad - 4 stars - This side salad consisted of lettuce, cheeses, just-made croutons, and a side dressing. Spaghetti - 3.5 stars - This side of spaghetti had nicely cooked noodles and a flavorful sauce. The prices were very reasonable for the large serving sizes. We paid only $30 plus a tip.

A Hidden Gem in Washington, PA!…read more The Washington Brewing Company is the real deal! You can absolutely taste the love in every beer--they clearly take pride in their craft. Each brew we tried was smooth, flavorful, and uniquely their own. We shared a few appetizers and every bite was fantastic, but the fried zucchini sticks were the standout--crispy, flavorful, and perfectly seasoned. Definitely a must-try! Their happy hour is a great deal, and the atmosphere is just what you'd want in a local brewery: relaxed, welcoming, and fun. The location is spot-on--easy to get to, with plenty of space inside and out. To top it all off, the staff have been incredible--knowledgeable about the beers, super friendly, and genuinely fun to talk to. It's the kind of place where you feel like a regular, even if it's your first time. We'll definitely be back. Cheers to great beer and even better people!

Great burger experience, with a side of beer battered fries, which were delicious, and crunchy! Family got the Sweet Thai Chili boneless wings. These were huge! Awesome crunchy batter, juicy breast meat, topped with a homemade Thai sauce, these were awesome! Great food here, plus they have live music throughout the week. Peaceful, clean, the tile floors have so much history and character. Their menu may be simple but everything tasted fresh and made with love. The red rooibos iced was perfect. We were told it was going to be ready in 15/20 mins and as soon as we pulled up it was being bagged We got their alligator fritters, beef empanadas, gator tacos and an oreo cream funnel cake. Y'all everything was so good. My fiancée absolutely loved his gator fritters and devoured them. The beef empanadas were filled with beef, corn and cheese. They were so good and loved the seasoning on the empanada. The gator tacos were the perfect size, the gator had a nice crunch and the slaw added another level to the taco. The funnel cake hit the spot. Cannot wait to check out their new location when it opens and both of us agreed that we will be back.

Street parking available. This is more of a takeout place but there are tables inside. Now for the food! My coworker and I had chicken tacos, the gator po boy, and the chicken and funnel cake. The chicken tacos were on special for taco tuesday so they were $2 each which was a great price. They were filled with chicken and toppings but the meat was a little dry, and I think a sauce, like a chipotle mayo or something, could really make these pop! These were our least favorite part of lunch, but they were still good, I really liked the salsa. I used to work at a southern restaurant that served gator sandwiches, so I was super happy to see alligator on the menu! The gator po boy was delicious! It came with a spicy mayo. The gator bites were seasoned well and the bun was super soft and fresh. I wasn't crazy about the chips that came with it though. The chicken and funnel cake was the standout- think chicken and waffles but better! The chicken was awesome and the funnel cake was super sweet! I wish it came with like a spicy syrup or something. Nonetheless, everything was delicious and I will definitely be back, this is an awesome addition to downtown Washington!!!
