Bacon, crispy onions, maple bacon sauce and mozzarella cheese. Deep fried onions, on top of the cheese, maple bacon, a medium cooked burger, on a fresh bun, of course my burger topped with Ranch dressing. Great burger experience, with a side of beer battered fries, which were delicious, and crunchy! Family got the Sweet Thai Chili boneless wings. These were huge! Awesome crunchy batter, juicy breast meat, topped with a homemade Thai sauce, these were awesome! Great food here, plus they have live music throughout the week. Food was decent, one bartender ok, the other one, not so much. Questioned her on a price on my tab and she ran and told "new" owner I was "fighting" her about it. Owner came out, hackles up and demanded what was problem. It was simple misunderstanding but she needs to learn how to deal with customers. We decided to go here to watch the Steelers game with some friends on Sunday. Our waitress was super attentive and friendly. She took great care of our group, especially during this pandemic. We sat outside on the back deck and loved it! It's a huge deck with beautiful views. It's a great place to check out the colorful leaves during the fall. We all ordered drinks throughout the game and never once had an empty cup! Our waitress was really on top of things. The drinks were made well to, not to strong but not to weak. I ordered the meatball hoagie with fries and enjoyed every bite. The hoagie was huge so I took it home with me for leftovers. Our friends ordered nachos and wings as well. If there were more than five stars to be given to this place, I would gladly up my rating. Holy ... cow This is a hidden gem. I couldn't believe what I discovered. Using yelp, I looked up places near Washington, PA. This came up and I never heard of it. It was lunch time and fairly empty. Alicia was our waitress and so friendly and attentive. I loved the country atmosphere and to be honest wasn't expecting to be wowed by the food. Boy, was I wrong. The presentation, the taste ... screamed that it was made by a person with experience and a love for food. The fried zucchini was incredibly tasty and crisp and the pasta special was so much, I knew I had food for later. My lunch companion ordered the loaded nachos and they weren't kidding, they were loaded, I also tried the bloody mary, it was the best one I have had in a long time. I absolutely loved this place. The food was great as was the service. I can not wait to go back and try the burgers and brunch. BTW, they have funnelcakes. I ordered one for the heck of it. We have been meaning to get here to try the wings that everyone raves about and we finally made it on a Thursday evening. They have their own parking lot and we noticed a few people out in the outdoor seating area. Looked like there was both a bar on the inside and a bar out in the outdoor area. We opted to get a booth inside. It was quiet, but I assume that they are very busy on Mondays and Wednesdays when they have their $.50 wing night. Our servers name was Alexis, super friendly and helped us decide what to order from the menu. We went with 2 different wing orders, the buffalo ranch and also the boom boom. The boom boom wings came from the sauce that they put on their shrimp appetizer, they now have it for the wings and it is a huge hit. The boom boom were my favorite and the buffalo ranch were my husband's favorite. Definitely plan to go and get wings there again. We definitely could have been satisfied with just 2 orders of wings, but for some reason we both ordered an entrée lol. The server suggested the fish sandwich for me, which isn't on the menu with a side of sweet potato fries. If this is available you need to get it! The fish sandwich was HUGE and I am not even exaggerating. Soo good too, with tartar sauce on the side, lettuce and tomatoes. The sweet potato fries were AMAZING! They were drizzled with honey and sprinkled with cinnamon. I have never had them served that way, but they were perfect. Our other entrée was the Thanksgiving Waffle. Just imagine your favorite dressing/stuffing made into a waffle, and top it with turkey, gravy and mashed potatoes. Decided to quickly look at the dessert menu and spied a peanut butter pie which of course I could not pass up. Got that packed to go and ate it the next day. If you are a pb lover this pie is for you. It was very pb forward, usually I find the fillings are more creamy, mixed with a whipped cream or cream cheese, this was almost straight up pb. My husband and I dined at Forty Bar and Grille for lunch today and we were both very pleased with our experience! We walked in through the bar and were instantly greeted by the bartender. The bar area was huge! Big wrap around bar, and tables everywhere. The bar was dead on a Sunday afternoon, so we sat in the dining room. The place was super clean and I really liked the country/ rustic theme and decor. There was also a bridal shower going on, and it was set up very nice! I ordered the hot sausage sandwich and it was definitely a winner. The sausage was very spicy, just how I like it! The bread was soft and fresh, and it was topped with huge chunks of grilled peppers and onions, and then smothered with marinara sauce and gooey mozzarella cheese! It was served with a large portion of fries. My husband got the "heart attack burger" which is a hamburger that uses TWO grilled cheeses as the bun. He ate the whole thing!! When you check in on Yelp, you get 5% off your bill, but the manager gave us 10% off instead! The prices were so affordable, our bill was around $20. This place is like a 5 minute drive from the Washington Crown Center mall, so if you're out shopping, you should definitely stop at Forty Bar and Grille for dinner or lunch!! read more

Went there for the first time to weeks ago and had to come back a week later because it was so good. The first time I ordered buffalo chicken dip and boom boom shrimp which were both fantastic. The people I went with also loved their food as they got the bob's kickin chicken and the heart stopper. The service was very good and the beer deals are great during their happy hour as they serve 2$ 16 oz yuenglings. The second time I went was during their wing night from 7-10 on wed. Getting 10 wings and multiple beers for 10 dollars was an absolute steal and this is quickly becoming my favorite restaurant in Washington. read more

My bride and I were on Rt. 40 late this afternoon running an errand, this place caught our eyes. They had outdoor seating and the weather was great, so we thought that we'd give it a try. Marie was our server, she was excellent from beginning to end. We both had the Buffalo Chicken Mac & Cheese. The portions were generous and in the words of my wonderful wife, "This was clearly cooked by someone who loves their job." Definitely going back for seconds! Allow me to provide a compliment sandwich about my first visit to Forty B&G. This is a new place, so everything was still shiny and new. The place was very clean, which is important when it comes to dining. Four of us went for my father's birthday and we had a very enjoyable experience. The food was top-notch, the service was good, and the ambience was unique (in a good way). This may seem silly, but I enjoyed the flatware, glasses, and plates. I like over-sized knives - big enough to drive through a man's chest, albeit without the pointy tip. I ordered a 24 oz. draft beer and it came in a huge Ball canning glass. Maybe that's not your bag, but it's definitely mine. The coffee cups were clear and kinda square - definitely different. We visited at a time that was expected to be slow (3:30-4:30), but people started filling in halfway through our meal. It wasn't busy, but I felt like our service could have been a little better. It's no fun when your server is intrusive, but it's terrible when you need something and they aren't to be found. I ordered a second beer when the entrees were served and wasn't sure it would arrive before we finished our meal. It did arrive, but I was beginning to wonder.... Otherwise, the service was very good. Our server was friendly, engaging, and knowledgeable, but she didn't seem to remember who ordered what when it looked like we were her only table at that point. Not a big deal, but so it goes. The only other 'complaint' I could have had about the place was the menu. It was one page, front and back. There wasn't a wide range of options, but there was a little something for everyone. Perhaps once they have continued success down the line, which I feel is likely to happen, they will expand the menu. Now for the coup de gravy, er... grace: the food. We ordered the poutine appetizer after having previously tried it once at a different restaurant. If you don't know what it is, the simplest explanation is "fries with gravy". The gravy is only half of it, though. Melted curds top the fries and it becomes a gooey, wonderful mess. I would highly recommend the poutine. Although it wasn't a menu staple, I ordered lobster bisque (the soup du jour). Of all non-seafood places I've ever visited, it may have been the best bisque I've had the pleasure of eating. There was real lobster in it, not langostios. Yum-o. Our party ordered Pasta Aia, the Meatball Sandwich, the Cheesesteak sandwich, and Chicken Parmesan sandwich. The Chicken Parm was a daily special, but they should certainly put it on the menu. I up-charged to the Onion Rings and they were very good. Everyone thoroughly enjoyed their meals. The portions were fair - not too little, but not so large you needed a to-go bag. Parking seems to accommodate @ 60 cars, but I could be very wrong about that. The bar area is separate from the dining area(s), which was also nice. I did not notice any overflow noise while we dined. I don't get to the far side of Washington very often, but when I do, Forty will likely be my destination of choice. PS - I checked in for the first time with Yelp! and received 5% off the food bill. We dined here at 6 PM on a Friday evening. There were a few people in the bar, but the dining room was literally empty. This wasn't a good sign; however, it was really great after all! Our party had Chicken Parmesan (huge portion of meat over spaghetti and two pieces of garlic bread), the Heart Stopper Burger (also huge - basically a burger sandwiched between two grilled cheeses), a Black and Blue Burger (a special), and the Reuben Sandwich. Everything was excellent. Only complaint is that the Heart Stopper burger was prepared as well done although it was requested as medium. I wish it would have been busier as it was very quiet and not the best ambiance. Otherwise, service was very good and the aesthetics of the space are great. It is very beautiful inside. Really hoping this was a one off for them. The only reason we went is because of the Bloody Mary pics with the huge drink and toppings. Apparently that's not them, they just thought it was cute to post it. Not okay. We then waited and hour and half for our appetizer of wings. I'm not exaggerating, because I used the yelp app to check in and the coupon was only good for 4 hours so we used it as a timer. The server blamed the kitchen but our drinks were also empty and only saw her once in that time. We waited another 20 minutes before we couldn't take it any more. The table beside us was trying to find a manager at the same time we were, having waited for 3 hours and their order only being half delivered. A manager never once checked on us. I had to hunt her down. I feel for her because I could tell she thought I was going to yell at her. We live 75 minutes away and I needed to feed my kids. I told her I wanted to pay for what we had but she let us go and now we're sitting at Waffle House. read more

Went into the place, didn't seem busy at all. Sat at the bar and the bartender took our drink orders immediately. We asked for menus and looked them over as she'd disappeared somewhere. She came back 10 minutes later and we ordered our food. She walked off AGAIN for about 15 minutes, and a few other people sat down at the bar. She finally came back, but without our appetizer....fried mozzarella...which doesn't take long to make. She served the guys next to us their drinks and walked away again. There were families in the dining room who complained because their food was taking almost TWO HOURS to be served to them. They'd asked to talk to the manager, to which the bartender replied with her hand up saying that she was the manager. We decided to get up and leave because we didn't want to wait two hours for our food to "maybe" come out. Definitely won't be going back. read more

My Mom and I went here for lunch yesterday, 3/10/18. I had the hot sausage sandwich with a side "beef stew" soup. My Mom had the garlic parm wings. First off, the service was terrible. Our waitress was not at all attentive to any of her customers including us. I asked for an unsweetened iced tea and received a sweet tea instead. When my Mom asked for a second beer, the waitress didn't even bring it. My Mom had to go the bartender on duty to ask for it and she kindly enough brought it over, although she was more interested in flirting with the 3 men sitting at the bar stools. My soup was something out of a can, it tasted like it, it looked like it. My hot sausage sandwich was mediocre at best, and I've had better at carnivals and fairs. We were excited to try this place but in the end it just didn't work out. We entered the main entrance which is the bar entrance. I guess there is another entrance in the side for the dining room. Anyhooo, we didn't know if we should seat ourselves or if someone would seat us. There was only one person working the bar and the bar was packed. We decided to seat ourselves and begin the waiting. After about 15 minutes or so we decided to explore the building to see if anyone was waiting tables. After a few minutes of waiting for anyone that works there to show a young girl finally did. At this point though we just decided to leave. I could give it a one star but it was our choice to leave early. Having a sign letting people know to either seat themselves or to wait would have made a big difference. Also, maybe having more than one persons working the bar area would be helpful as well. The menu looks good and I really wanted to try it. Maybe someday, but I doubt it. read more

Really nice place to grab a bite to eat. The remodel looks wonderful & the staff was very nice. The bar is pretty spacious, and the bartender was very nice and answered all of my questions about my food allergy. Ordered mozzarella sticks which were really good, but opted to not have a full meal due to the appetizer being pretty substantial. The beer was good and cold, although we we're dripped on once or twice from the condensation on the pipe over the bar. I bet if I would have spoke up the bartender would have moved us, so no big deal. My only pet peeve was that there were a lot of smokers standing outside the bar entrance. It wasn't a big issue for us when we arrived, but when we left we had to ask people to scoot over since the little walkway wasn't big enough to pass through with people on both sides. They moved, but we had to ask because they all were talking to each other, kind of not noticing us trying to get through.You can tell the bar area must get pretty busy in the late evening, but it's okay, it wasn't a huge deal, just a minor hinderance. The current (1/14/17) 5- star rating should be suspect. #1 Ginormous water glass spilled into the lap of one of our group by our inexperienced waitress reaching across table to serve his dinner order. Very oddly, ZERO acknowledgement that this had occurred. She just carried on as if nothing had happened. Seriously, a 24-oz water glass onto the lap of my husband! No manager appeared, no help mopping up. So. Strange. #2. Terrible food for 3/4 of our group. The satisfied one of our party got a hoagie called the Capone. 2 had their tri tip-- not even chewable. I got the turkey on a stuffing shaped waffle w mashed potatoes and gravy. Deli meat turkey sliced thick. Horrible. Checks appeared *while* we were eating. No lie. We seriously thought she was comping us due to the water incident. Ha! Still eating dinner and she says "no rush". Today was my first visit here. It is a really nice place with an outdoor bar and patio with pool table, corn hole and giant jenga. Definitely a very fun atmosphere. I got the cheese steak hoagie and chips, very delicious with real shaved steak smothered with nacho cheese. My friend got the ham stuffed meatloaf and fries (yes it's a big slab of meatloaf with gravy between two pieces of Texas toast with a big chunk of ham inside and topped with cheese). Mary made me a great Long Island and was definitely an awesome host. We felt very welcome and hopefully will be back soon! read more

I've been here twice already and they opened on Halloween. I sat at the bar with co-workers on one trip and dining room with the family the next. Both trips were memorable because of what a good time we had. Yes, the food was great - I picked off of everyone's plate so I can speak for a few of their items, which I will list below - but the service was excellent both times. I'm going back this weekend just for that reason. The staff was incredibly nice to our kids and that's just a major bonus eating out with the family these days. I have lived in Wash PA for two years now, and have not received this type of service yet. I highly recommend for those with young ones!! Now let's talk about food! The Kick'n Chicken Sandwich with French Fries was my first order. It was definitely kicken.. not too spicy, just enough. Their French fries were great on all of the meals, not too big, not too small and fried to crispy perfection. The BOOM-BOOM shrimp were excellent with off-the-charts dipping sauce that I would highly recommend as an appetizer with a ice-cold draft beer. Now their tater-tots are something to speak of. They're YUGE! I thought we'd be getting those little tots like they had in high school. Not so. They were the size of baseballs and had BACON and cheese all throughout. A great app for me (again, with a frosty cold beer), or a full meal for the kids. This place is a little out there, but it is a nice little bar and grill with a huge outdoor deck area. There wasn't anything outstanding about this place, but then again there was nothing bad either. It did seem to be recently renovated or something but the environment was friendly and relaxing. If you want to get away for a bit then why not try this place. read more

It was a Sunday afternoon and we were looking for a place to eat lunch. A friend of mine suggested this place. She said that it had recently been renovated. When we drove up it looked very cool. It looked new and had a semi outdoor patio with a bar. We chose to go inside. There is a bigger bar inside with booths lining the walls. It was a bit dark inside for an afternoon lunch. The low lighting would be better in the evening when more people are coming in to drink and not eat. The menu had some great choices but I went with Thanksgiving in a Waffle. Who doesn't love a Thanksgiving meal-especially when you don't have to cook it??? They take stuffing and put it into the waffle maker. Once they put it on your plate they top it with mashed potatoes, slices of real turkey, and top it off with gravy. It was exactly what it claimed to be. Each item had good flavor. The turkey was tender. The gravy wasn't poured over to give it flavor but to add to the flavor that is already there. I wished that the "waffle" had been cooked just a smidge longer to give it a crispy edge just to add another texture. I'm sure most people would prefer it just as it is. We had great service. The owner/manager even stopped at our table to ask about our food. We didn't have any alcoholic drinks but found out that have a very nice selection of moonshine from Tennessee. My husband and I stopped here on our way home from Pittsburg over New Year's. I go sick while in the city, so didn't want much to eat but my husband was "starving". So after a suggestion from an attendant at a BP station off the Cannonsburg exit, we decided to put the information into our Waze App and off we went. It took us a few minutes to find it and I actually passed it and had to turn around. We entered on the bar side and walked through to the dining room area. The waitress acknowledged us immediately even though she was walking to another table. She came right over to us, gave us our menus, took our drink order, and waited patiently with us while we figured out what to eat, giving her input on various sandwiches for my husband. *Drinks: The waitress's fresh brewed "real" sweet tea was probably the best sweet tea I've ever drank, especially from a restaurant. *Food: -The fried dill pickles: They use thick dill pickle spears. The outside was perfectly crispy and golden brown and lightly dusted with parmesan cheese. The pickle spears on the inside were super thick and crunchy. The dip they have for them is very good, but I don't think you need a dip for the pickles because the breading is full of flavor. -Side salad with homemade ranch dressing (my choice): A perfect salad. All green lettuce, the tomatoes and cucumbers were perfectly crisp and crunched when you bit into them. The homemade ranch dressing was the best ever. -The loaded potato soup (my choice): Probably the best potato soup I have ever eaten. Not to toot my own horn (toot toot), but my potato soup is beyond banging being that it is a decade old family recipe. The loaded potato soup at Forty Bar & Grille was BEYOND amazing and completely blows my family's potato soup, and any other potato for that matter, out of the water. -The Heart Attack bacon cheeseburger (husband's choice): My husband absolutely loved it. It was huge! Think of a quadruple or quintuple bacon cheeseburger. He couldn't even finish it. The grilled cheese was perfect, the burger was cooked perfectly and juicy, the bacon was perfectly crisp. Just all around an amazing bacon cheeseburger wedged in between two perfectly grilled grilled cheese sandwiches. *Overall everything was amazing. From the atmosphere, to the food, to the waitress and her "real" sweet tea, everything was beyond perfect. I honestly can't wait for us to head that direction again. I've ordered there 3 times. 1st time, we ordered burgers to go. One was burnt and the other was bloody. 2nd time we ordered burgers to go again thinking the first time was a fluke. The one burger was fine and the second one had literally NO toppings on it. We waited a year and went back because there's a whole new kitchen crew. This time, ordered one burger and we had a different burger delivered to our table. I told the waitress about it and told her we didn't want to wait another 20 mins for the burger. She just said ok. Didn't tell anyone and the manager never even came to talk to us. We were the only ones in the whole restaurant. The kitchen staff/waitress literally only had one job.
