By far one of our favorite meals of 2026!…read more Tempo Shack is located inside a small shack on the corner of H Street. They serve Nepali street food and snacks. From the moment we approached the counter window, the gentleman taking our order was kind and patient with us, as it was our first time trying Nepali fare. We ordered the Momos, a staple in Nepali cuisine, as well as the Mixed Chow Mein and the Sausage Sticks. We decided to try the Water Buffalo Momo's since we had never had it before. Wow, it was delicious! The Momos even came with a homemade chutney that was full of flavor. The Chilly Momo was our favorite and something we will definitely order again. We also loved the Mixed Chow Mein. This dish incorporates flavors from both India and China. It was such a unique taste and the toppings all tasted very fresh. Their portions are quite generous-- each Momo order came with ten pieces and we had plenty of the Chow Mein left over. Please note that this is take-out only, although they do have limited outdoor seating. We cannot wait to go back! @dcfoodgod

They actually have water buffalo on the menu which feels a rarity. There is an outdoor patio to eat, but it doesn't look like it's open. This is an extension of their Ashburn location. All the food is ordered to go. Pretty quick service. With very friendly staff. I wish the outdoor section would be open on a beautiful day would be great to eat our food right as it's made

My wife and I were hungry and wanted to go somewhere in the neighborhood. We heard about His & Hers…read moreand decided to stop by. We walked in on a Saturday afternoon and it was completely empty. The cook was sitting at one of the tables and the waitress was behind the bar (they don't serve alcohol) hoping someone would come in. There is an upstairs and a downstairs. We did not go downstairs but I'm assuming there are plenty of seats like upstairs. We ordered the hangry breakfast, which came with French toast, eggs and potatoes, the salmon burger and the chicken & waffles. It's a good thing we ordered so much becaus the chicken and waffles only comes with 4 wingettes. We ordered water but were told they were out of ice. Instead my wife ordered a $4 CANNED SODA because that is the only thing they had cold. $4 for a can is insane by the way. Since we were the only ones in the establishment we expected the food to come quickly but that seemed to take 20-25 minutes as well. Our food eventually arrived. The French toast was good. Flavorful but small. Sandwhich bag slices of bread. The potatoes were clearly from the Walmart frozen foot section. The eggs were ok. My wife's waffle was cool however the chicken was BLAND and SEASONLESS. We didn't even finish them. For $18 I expected more. The salmon burger was by far the best thing there. A thick cut of salmon that was flavorful. We should have gotten two of those. The waitress was nice. The food is overpriced. I should have known when we walked in and the place was empty. Not sure how they stay open having brunch without alcohol but to each is own. One and done for me as a neighborhood guy. The food isn't great and the prices are high. No reason to return.

Don't go here - period. I went with my partner attempting to support a local business and have…read morebrunch - I wish I'd cooked at home. They don't have typical bacon or sausage because "the owners don't eat pork" which really sounds like something more appropriate for their house, and not their restaurant business on Rhode island ave. The "chicken sausage" was a shriveled up piece of chicken paste that they cooked in the microwave. I ordered scrambled eggs, and when they came out, they had that crust that scrambled eggs get when they sit out after being cooked. The grits were lumpy and outside of the cheese sauce they put on the top - had no flavor. The French toast tasted like milk eggs and burnt grill. And the pancakes, were very obviously pre made and microwaved. Additionally - the meal I ordered is listed to come with a bread, eggs, a side and a meat. I asked for bacon, and was told the owners don't eat pork. I asked for the chicken sausage.. 5 minutes later the server asked me if I wanted the sausage spicy or not. Then when she brought the bill, there was a $4 up charge for spicy sausage that she neither told me, nor was it on the menu. And to make matters worse - the sausages were not spicy and were actually just flat out nasty. This is a SAD excuse for a restaurant. I'm sad that I spent calories walking there and dollars eating there.
