This train sucks. I need the digital display otherwise I don't know where I'm going. Won't be riding again. Terrible customer experience.

This station was closest to Fort Washington Park where I wanted to be and while there isn't much for signage, Google Maps got it done. This station serves the A line and is between 181st Street and 184th Street. It is partially handicapped accessible from the street to the mezzanine level only, not to the platform level. The mezzanine is inside the fare zone so it is possible to change from north to south. The station opened in 1932 and has two tracks with side-platforms. The station is between 190th Street station (northbound towards 207th Street Station) and 175th Street station (southbound towards Far Rockaway). Also there's a bus terminal by the bridge. The station itself plain sucks. It seems basic. It serves the A Train. This station is pretty good for making a bus transfer. A bus terminal is very close. This is at the entrance of the George Washington Bridge, which is also a good bridge for pedestrians. Getting off here really sucks because it's not a pleasant place to be in. There's all kinds of crazy sketchy people hanging out. Also it seriously gets hot. It's a lot like a furnace kind of. The station also is deep underground so it takes forever to get up an escalator so using it sucks.

The Metrocard machines rarely work - today they're only accepting coins, go figure. During the summer months the whole station feels like a hell hole, you won't make it through the elevators without sweating. I've stayed regularly at Aloft Harlem for the last (nearly) two years. As I've said, prices are reasonable for NYC. The Harlem neighborhood is bright and alive. Rooms are basic, but clean and comfortable. Housekeeping is wonderful. Because I'm a regular, everyone here knows me. Recently a new employee started, who did not know me. I introduced myself, explained I was a regular, and went about my routine. Two weeks later, I return and she remembers my name and my face. The staff who have known me longer have clearly told her I prefer corner rooms and I like a certain kind of wine. She said, "they told me you like . . . (Insert multiple things here)." I am impressed by the new employee who went out of her way to remember me, as well as the longer established staff, who clearly updated her on my preferences. And again, for the record, the staff here have always been friendly, down to earth, and welcoming. One more time: I've been staying here nearly two years. And I come back again and again because they are fantastic people.

The only real positive was the location, which was very convenient for the event I was attending. The hotel itself appeared run-down and poorly maintained. There were holes in the walls near the electrical outlets, and there was an awkward empty space where it looked like furniture had been removed from the wall without any repairs or touch-up paint being done. Overall, the room looked neglected and far below what I would expect from a Marriott property. Another odd issue was the refrigerator being located under the bathroom sink, which seemed very unusual. To make matters worse, it had a strong unpleasant odor. Customer service was equally disappointing. When we arrived to check in, the front desk associate was busy stocking shelves and paid no attention to us. He then stopped to have a conversation with another staff member while we waited. At no point did he acknowledge us or simply say, "I'll be right with you." A little communication and courtesy would have gone a long way. Based on the condition of the room and the lack of attentive service, this stay did not meet the standards I associate with Marriott hotels. I would not choose to stay here again.
