The "kids eat free" sign caught my attention for two reasons: 1) kids eat free and 2) this is a good place for kids. Well, I was there on a Thursday night, which was "chicken night," and Tuesday night is apparently "free kids' night.) The decor
and atmosphere are both neat, clean, comfortable, and updated. The menus were either new or very well maintained, which is important to me because it is one of the first impressions that a restaurant gives. They have a range of options from pizza to wings to burgers and pasta. I opted for a chicken dinner because it was chicken night after all. The salad was the ubiquitous and tasteless iceberg lettuce, but I think that's a Midwestern small town problem and not unique to the Caboose. My side was "fried green beans," which were delicious. The chicken was ok. I've definitely had better broasted chicken. Our server was friendly and attentive. The only thing that was unclear was that she gave us our check at the table, but i think the expectation is to pay at the bar. Overall, I would recommend this restaurant. read more
