I love this bakery. We pop in a few times a year for birthdays or other celebrations. We always get the cupcakes. They're always moist and delicious. Also, I love that they are not over-the-top ridiculous. Bakery cupcakes are often gigantic, extreme in their frosting and fillings and decorations plus add-ons like candy or candy bars...and usually dry and bland tasting. Not here! Cupcakes are reasonably sized, moist and flavorful, simple but with variety...and reasonably priced! We always get the cupcakes but this time I wanted to also try their cookies. Dang! Very good. I am extremely disappointed with both the cake and the professionalism of this business. I called the store multiple times throughout the day and no one answered. I also never received a call letting me know the cake was ready. I eventually had to send my sister to the store to check on it. When she saw the cake, even she immediately said it did not look like the reference photo provided. When this was brought up to the owner, her response was that they didn't have the specific colors and that using different colors "wouldn't have looked good." Unfortunately, the bright/lime green that was used looks much worse and is nothing like the original design. The owner was dismissive and unprofessional and refused to remake the cake, offer a partial refund, or even provide store credit. There was no attempt to make things right for a clear mistake on their end. If you can't match a requested design or colors, that should be communicated before making the cake -- not after. I would not recommend this bakery based on the lack of communication, poor customer service, and refusal to take accountability. I was asked to send a picture of the cake I wanted. Today I came in two hours early and they stated I needed to come at 1230 which was no issue. When I arrived at 1225 she was still creating and decorating the cake. She was rushing to get the decorations on and was not paying attention to the details. This is what I asked for vs what I received. It looks like something for a baby vs a 16yr old. The small things make all the difference. Things I don't like: Pink around the mid section of the cake The black cursive writing vs the larger lettering on the pictured cake The bulky purse with the horrible frilly things Overall presentation isn't what I was looking for AT ALL. My order was not ready! I ordered a king cake the week before Fat Tuesday. On their website when placing an order you can select the date and time you want to pick up your order. Times are in 15 minute increments starting at 7:30am which is when they open (see screenshot showing how it looks on their site). I selected 7:45am figuring I would actually pick it up 8ish but that would have it ready to go even if they were running a little behind and received an order confirmation stating this time. When I went to pick up my cake I was told they had just come out of the oven and would be ready at 845am. When I questioned why they specified pick up times if they aren't going to honor them I was told "that time is system generated and just means morning pickup". First off, that is a lie because I CHOSE that time. Second, they open at 7:30am so how is the customer supposed to know what mysterious time they are going to choose for their morning pickups to be ready. Apparently they don't have customers who want to pick up orders on their way to work. They way they run this business I am surprised they have any customers at all. Yes, I got my money back but this robbed another Desoto County bakery of my business. If they can't have orders ready in the early morning that's fine but don't have early morning times available on the site so people can order elsewhere. read more

Went in on 3/25/2021 ordered a cake for my fences birthday on 03/25/2021. Gave the girl at the register a photo on my phone of what I wanted. She should it to the lady decorating cakes who gave her a price. I emailed the photo to the requested address. Did not here back from anyone until today 03/24/2021. They have cupcakes, pies, cookies, bars, and soooo many other things! They even sale the "day old" cupcakes for a discounted price. Okay so I want to start off by saying I wouldn't not have left such a negative review unless there was multiple issues I had. 1) The biggest thing for me was that the cake looked nothing like what I asked for. I understand it was an unusual cake design but I showed her a photo and asked if she could duplicate it and she said yes but the cake was completely different. 2) The cake was not ready in time. She specifically asked me for a date and time to come pick it up and when I got there the caked was not ready. We picked up some cupcakes Friday morning to have later that night. There wasn't a huge selection of flavored but what there was ran the gamut of traditional type flavors to citrus types. We got 1 each of Twix, lemon Crete, red velvet, double chocolate brownie. Dbl choc brownie was piled high with frosting that had brownie pieces in it, and the cake batter had brownie pieces in it too. Twix had pieces of the Twix "cookie" in the frosting that got soggy but in fairness I didn't eat the cupcake until much later in the day so that is to be expected. I am a picky "sweets" person. I won't waste the calories unless I REALLY like the sweet. My newest addition is their "Hope Royale" cookie! Soft and very flavorful! Haven't made it past that to their other soft, sugar or chocolate chip cookies, but those I have bought them for say they are very good. I was not all impressed with our experience with them....the lady doing the cake tasting was 30 minutes late to the tasting. Another employee had to serve us our tasting and it seemed like we were an after thought for them. But that's not the worst part, my sister picked up our cakes from the the day before our wedding and not one but both of our cakes were wrong! The wedding cake did not have gold dripping on the side like was specified and our grooms cake looked like pancakes for the hose and had the wrong station number on the cake....when we called her she said she could come to the venue to fix the day of wedding, I was busy so I didn't get to approve but I was not happy with how it turned out, the good drippings were supposed to be a little less than half the cake on each cake and we got about 2 inches of it. I have been meaning to write a review. We have used this bakery for 2 baptism cakes with piping work, 2 cupcake orders for kids birthdays with animals and sharks on them, they have made fondant zoo animals, and a few other basic round cakes. Their special order cakes and cupcakes have always been at a reasonable price and absolutely wonderful. The cake is light and moist and the frosting is a little sweet but very enjoyable. The cake and frosting complement each other well. We mainly do buttercream frosting. We have walked in and bought ready made stuff. We had 1 bad experience with a small round cake not being great but still pretty good. I dont mind driving past other bakeries to get to them. They are our go to bakery for everything. read more

I have been a longtime patron of this place, and I supported it with purchasing birthday cakes when my children were younger and it is simply not the same. On this visit, I ordered a strawberry cupcake. I consider myself to be a self-proclaimed, "cupcake connoisseur." The icing tasted, and was comparable to that from Wal-Mart, Kroger or simply icing that you get from a jar. The cupcake was moist, but small in size, considering the price. The presentation of the cupcake was great, and I was given a neat singular cupcake holder for my purchased item. The bakery was clean and they had a variety of things to choose from. As for the customer service, it was not good at all. The lady who waited on me, asked me the same questions multiple times even after I would answer her in a clear audible tone, on each exchange she seemed as if she tried her very best to deliver poor customer service. I recently picked up some cupcakes from this bakery. I got wedding cake flavored cupcakes. Every time I've ever gotten wedding cake flavored anything, it's always been white almond cake. When I got home and bit into one of them I quickly realized they were not in fact white almond (wedding cake), but plain white cake flavored. I was a little disappointed.
