Great food delicious and satisfying accommodation for large orders. Gyros very filling

My wife and I came in a couple days ago, we got there around 7:45. We had planned to stop by Maria's Cantina for a drink and then eat some falafel. We saw the Mediterranean bakery closed at 9 and we didn't want them to close. We decided against Maria's and just went to get some falafel. We ordered and were perusing the menu afterward, we noticed that the kitchen actually closed at 7. I said all of that to say this...The falafel sandwich (plus the side of falafel) was the best and freshest falafel we have ever had, it was amazing. Also, even though the employee knew we were there after the kitchen closed, he never said a word about it and made our order without a problem, we would have never ordered from the kitchen if we knew it was closed. I just want to say that I appreciate this employee so much and the falafel was the best we have ever had. I would recommend this restaurant to everyone and appreciate the amazing customer service. read more

Recently the store was bought out and is under new management. I really hope they hire back the old staff because the food tastes bland now and flavorless. The food used to taste amazing and now it is mediocre. Was highly disappointed and hope they bring back what it used to be! read more

Great place as always! Picked up a few things and grabbed a bite for dinner. They always have fresh homemade Mediterranean dishes. They are set up like a small grocery store for Mediterranean ingredients, spices, meats, and some frozen sections. The guy that owns the place is always very nice. If your not sure about the taste. He will give you a sample. They have the best homemade hummus I have ever had! They have a full menu and will cook anything you want. We go here twice a month. Today July 15, is my husband and daughter's bday. The owner was by himself during lunch hour and there was a line. I told him I have 4 orders and it's ok, I will come back another day. He insisted it was ok. I told him I have bdays and my daughter requested the half chicken. Come to find out, today is his wife's bday too!! The wait was only 30 minutes. Another instances I wanted to highlight. When the Dubai chocolates and green almonds were just getting popular on TikTok. The bakery would always sell out fast , but I was surprised their son personally called me when they were back in stock. Overall this place has Amazing service. The family that runs it are the sweetest and nicest people. The food is amazing and the best to-go packaging I've ever seen. Wonderful grocer store with lots of selections in both dry goods and fresh/frozen. The plate dinners are also very good and authentic. The service is slow, as they are short handed, but I am OK with that, if the food is being made fresh. That wasn't quite the case with the daily special, as they have steam trays set up with it in it. I think the issue is that they are not quite a restaurant and more of a grocery. The food IS good, but have plenty of time to wait on a carry out! read more

Incredibly friendly staff and owners. Don't really buy groceries here but they have a good selection of unique items. The lunch is amazing. I've never had a bad dish here. Huge portions. Heard about this place off of Nextdoor. We have been traveling into Memphis for good gyros, when we were able to at all. It's a full working store but in the back there is a menu and all sorts of sweet stuff. We ordered two gyros and four falafel balls to go. I found some big packages of chopped spinach and some little cookies with dark chocolate and raspberry. The food we brought home was excellent. The only thing I didn't like was his sandwich had more sauce than mine and I wished mine had more. The food was amazing. We will be back! read more

I stopped in to have a quick meal as I've been looking for great Mediterranean food to eat in Desoto County. I ordered the lamb/beef gyro plate to go. The food was amazing. I have no complaints. The meat was tender and perfectly seasoned. The rice was delicious. The small salad made everything come together. Service was great as well. There are also some grocery items you can buy in there, but I didn't do any shopping. I browsed the aisles and saw a lot of seasonings, canned goods, etc. If you're into cooking Mediterranean food, consider shopping at this location for their variety of offerings. I wish they could get a 6th star for friendly service on top their outstanding food and unbelievably affordable food. Their gyros are my go to, and the portions are huge. I'm a big guy and I can hardly finish one. None of that prepackaged meat on a stick like other places...you get fresh homemade food. The tzatziki sauce is the best I have had. Had an amazing gyros sandwich here this afternoon. Real off-the-spit gyros meat with lamb and beef, plus a nicely dressed pita with the trimmings. The best gyros by far in Memphis, and in my mind, the best outside of Chicago. Pretty neat grocery store too--all sorts of exotic (to me) foods/spices/etc. read more

Delicious!! My family is from Greece, and I would give them 10 stars on Mediterranean food if I could. We ordered the kofta plate and gyro sandwich, and every bite was heaven. They make everything from scratch, and our pita had come right out of the oven 30 minutes before we arrived. My husband and I went in today. The cashier greeted us as we walked by him headed to the counter where they serve food. A gentleman was behind the counter where the meat was and the female was in the back mixing something, we were visible to both. We stood there for a few minutes and I'm wondering why no one is taking our order. I notice a sign that said RING BELL FOR SERVICE so we did. We continued to stand there as another customer came in got a few items and began to check out, we are STILL standing at the food counter waiting and I can clearly see the female continue doing what she is doing in the back. I bought a spinach/cheese and cheese pastry as well as Flatbreads, a cheese and a za'ataar. All delicious. Got a great tip on making my own tahini which I put to the test almost immediately when I got home, I have to say it was easy and great. No more Tahini cement in a jar for me. A little awkward set up as you enter but the food is tasty and some good deals on dried herbs and spices. The service is decent but doesnt really blow me away. The ambiance is horrible though as far as dining, they have to sad looking tables. This isnt an eat in place at all.
