There is only 1 flavor, strawberry, and you will be limited to "1 per transaction". However, the cookies are what will bring me back again and again. Maybe some of the pastries too. They take up 2 storefronts of the building they are in and they are on the end with a drive through that probably does a killer business with folks on the way to work. I ordered 4 Boston Cream cup cakes at the recommendation of a FB post. What a disappointment. The cake tasted like a yellow box cake, the filling tasted like pudding mix and the frosting tasted like Pillsbury frosting. I bought two other flavors and I am not looking forward to trying them, they will probably be a disappointment as well. Then I asked where the restroom was and was told that it was broken. I call BS on that because where did the employees go? If you haven't eat in restaurant you have to have a working bathroom. I will never go there again and I will never recommend it. read more

Went here to try THE pop tart and we weren't disappointed! The pop tart was served cold on purpose and it was a nice combo or sweet but not overly sweet. It was a fun treat and we are glad we gave it a try! We also picked up hot drip coffee and a cold brew that were standard! The quiche at this place blew any quiche I've ever had out of the water. Ive had quite a few quiches in my day - from bakeries in Orlando, Miami, and even other bakeries in town. Hands down the fluffiest I've ever had. I mean look at that masterpiece. Pure mastery, and maybe a little witchcraft. 11/10. Service was great. Quick and attentive. Place had a homey charm to it. After hearing all of the buzz; we had to give this place a try and we just happen to be on vacation and in the neighborhood so my wife swung by and we both love lemon bars (but of course we had to try the pop tarts) and all I can say is that there are many things we will miss in Florida, but this perhaps this might be the place we will miss the most lol and honestly I personally didn't/don't know R.G. but he was totally on point about this little bakery!! read more

I live near Jacksonville, FL which about 3 hours away. My daughter goes to FSU. So for Mother's Day weekend I had plans to visit her in Tally which after hearing about the famous pop tarts, our adventures were centered mostly around this visit. Since this was a mother-daughter adventure, I was looking forward to bringing home my husband a (one- singular) pop tart. We got there 1040 (no line) and to my surprise, there was a sign saying one pop tart per person (ok Soup Nazi from Seinfeld...). No pop tarts in the cases, only a few trays of cupcakes and cookies. I asked the young adult worker if they had hand pop tarts and she replied they did and it was one per person and each had to be purchased separately (more Soup Nazi vibes). Ok... So used my credit card to make 2 different transactions. Why couldn't they have rung them both up together and write "2 people) on the ticket is beyond me. My daughter and I decided to eat them there. They were pretty tasty. I did not finish mine. I placed my 1/2 eaten messy pop tart back into the cellophane wrapper to bring home 3 hours away to my spouse a day later hoping it would hold up. After that, my hands were incredibly sticky from the icing. Can you believe there were NO paper napkins in the dining room anywhere? Also, the hallway to the restrooms was barricaded off saying "bathroom out of order". Really? Or was it that you didn't want that many people using the facilities? There was a man mopping the floor- so I would have to imagine the sink was mostly likely working. So, I went to the register to ask for wet napkins. The same young lady that checked me out said "Oh, are you here to pick up a cake?" - my friends later told me I should have asked for another pop tart since she obviously didn't remember me, hahah!- but I told her I needed some WET napkins for my sticky hands. She hands me 2 paper napkins. I just look at her. I asked her to wet them please as I did not think just dry napkins were going to take care of the stickiness, especially since there was no access to the rest room facilities to use the sink. Tasty treats. HUGE disappointment in the whole experience. Wish I would have read the reviews prior to come to the Cake Shop - not sure I would have stopped in. Also, my daughter and I looked on the website later to see if you could pre-order pop tarts because she was going to bring home my husband home one in the upcoming weekend and hopefully some for the rest for our small family (4) since she can only get one in person but that doesn't seem to be an option. She made a joke that she will grab the rest of her college friends and go daily to collect them until she has four for our family this next weekend. Utterly ridiculous- bless her little heart, my sweet girl. Also, my recommendation is scale back on the other cakes, cup cakes and cookies until this pop tart craze has passed - give the people what they want- and for goodness sakes, put some napkins and or wet wipes in your dining room. One my my girlfriends saw my social media post about trying the pop tarts and she replied she was going to make a road trip to Tally from Jax to get some and I told her not to bother coming only for the pop tarts. They make the best cookies! They taste how my mom used to make them. Their snickerdoodles and gingersnaps are my favorites.

Have recently tried the turtle dove cupcake. All i can say is-YUMMMMMMMYYYYYY! Have also tried the German chocolate cupcake. In my opinion the turtle dove cupcake is so far the best.... YUMMMMMM..... Got the strawberry cheesecake, and all the people raving about these cheesecakes are absolutely correct. The icing around the edges was super airy, and the cheesecake itself was creamy and very filling, but didn't have a "thick" mouthfeel. Good size too, could comfortably feed probably 8-10 people. I didn't get to taste the cupcakes the day they were picked up, but the next day the cake had already dried out pretty drastically. It was rather unfortunate because the cake was not tasty at all. This is literally the first negative review I have written in my life ... and I have a few years. We ordered an Italian creme cake after looking at the website menu- it does not explain what Italian creme means ... does not explain that they put coconut and nuts in the batter. Coconut is not a bit hit with our crew and so most at the party went without cake. When I suggested in a very positive fashion that they (the cake shop) should list key features like the inclusion of coconut (and nuts) for customers who have allergies and preferences the owner? Manager? Became indignant and hostile to me. No apology no empathy no refund , no credit . I did get. A small plain cupcake valued at $1.75 for the return of 3/4 of a full 3 layer 9 inch cake ($42.00 in case you're wondering ). What a deal. Went to the Cake Shop this morning to purchase two cupcakes for my husband in celebration of Veteran's Day; just wanted something small to celebrate his service and feed his sweet tooth! :o) Very convenient drive-thru service, with easily readable menus in sight; ordered a coconut creme cupcake and a classic chocolate cupcake; also ordered a slice of quiche for myself; wanted spinach and mushroom, but was informed they didn't have that (they probably should have erased it off of the handwritten menu); ordered the tomato and goat cheese quiche instead; though the quiche was delicious and I really enjoyed it, it probably should be renamed the "goat cheese and tomato" quiche instead. I was expecting more tomatoes (only had about two or three small pieces of tomatoes on the top; the goat cheese was just the right amount and oh so yummy). Ran into their Food Truck on a Wednesday night at a bazaar. Initially went to go to Brickyard Pizza (separate review) and noticed the bazaar across the street. Very tempted to attend the bazaar - but the family wanted pizza. After a great meal, we were leaving and we ran into Tim as he was getting a couple of pies from Brickyard. He was gracious and allowed us to purchase a few items before he left for the night (the bazaar was done and he was packed up ready to leave). Very nice man whom knows customer service. We purchased a few items: Key Lime cheesecake, Blueberry Cheesecake, Red Velvet Cupcake and Italian Creme (i never got to taste this - it vanished) which were all exceptionally good. Being a Floridian - I can honestly state the Key Lime cheesecake was spot on. Each dessert was great, but the Key Lime stood out as a clear winner (maybe we are just Floridians...). If we had had more time in Tallahassee we would have certainly visited their shop. Next time for sure! read more

This shop has the best cake I've tasted. Ever. The cake is just so delicious,not too moist or dry, just perfect. The frosting is addictive and I think I would sell my soul for the recipe. So many buttercream recipes are too sweet but this one is the perfect balance between decadence and flavor without being sickly. All together it's absolutely amazing. What's weird is the cake almost takes better the next days? (Only like 2 days max though because that cake does not remain uneaten for long ) The cupcakes are delicious as well, same flavors and everything, but there's something just slightly better about their cakes over their cupcakes...it's probably the caramelized edges of the layers, just so good. Their cookies are delicious too, and even their pup-cookies are dog approved as well! The cake shop does my whole family's birthday cakes every year and even did my parents wedding cake years ago. 13 years ago, this place did my wedding cake. It was an amazingly delicious (best cake I've ever tasted) and absolutely gorgeous three-tiered cake, with a design based on a custom request I made. It was so good in fact, that a father in attendance ordered a Cake Shop wedding cake for his daughter's wedding a couple of months later. They were a pleasure to work with from start to finish and would have absolutely warranted a 5+ star rating. Fast forward to the present, and we hoped to use them for our child's first birthday cake. However, they will do absolutely ZERO custom cake orders. In fact, they will not even do cake designs featured on their own website! If you want anything beyond streamers/balloons/sprinkles, you are out of luck. I did not want a complicated design, just something basic to go along with the party's theme. Nope. No dice. It appears that the only thing they actually do is basic cakes decorated at a Costco level, and cupcakes, with their own design and flavor options, of course. They would do better running one of those fandangled cupcake vending machines because that is about all they can manage. They really should hire another cake designer (or two). The fact that they are a stand alone bakery that cannot process ANY custom cake orders is ridiculous. Even Publix does this. I cannot speak to current flavor, as I haven't had their cake in years. read more

I look at all these other reviews and I honestly don't know what they're talking about. I ordered 4 cupcakes from their bakery for the first time yesterday. Birthday Cake, Cookies and Creame, Red Velvet, and a Chocolate with white icing. Each cupcake was perfect. Not too sweet. I have very sensitive teeth so icing that is super sweet just kills my teeth but their icing was just the right amount of sweet and it complimented the cupcakes beautifully. The food is good, the reason for the low review is the awful policy of 1 fork per customer. Let me explain I bought 6 cupcakes for 6 people when I asked for forks I was told I could only have one. I told the girl but i bought 6 cupcakes for 6 people she said sorry that's our policy because we don't sell the forks. Mind you I paid $18 for 6 cupcakes and they have the audacity to say well we don't sell the forks that's why you can only have one. Really? I will never be back.
