There's almost zero damping and no acoustic management whatsoever. It has the appearance of an attractive venue without the functional reality. It was incredibly painful with the voices of all the talking along with the music ringing in our ears. The conversations of people were amplified by the design of the facility to the point where they were competing with the fully amplified '90s band that I heard called joose. In addition, they appear to have no comprehension about how to actually create an appropriate acoustic management system. There are no damping systems, no soft surfaces, it's like they didn't even ask anybody who knows anything about anything about how to do acoustic design. It's entirely appearance based. We will never return here again for anything other than a cocktail or maybe a karaoke event. It was a waste of $20. Per person. We effectively paid $40 for a couple to be acoustically tortured for 2 hours. We kept hoping it would get better but it didn't I thought maybe once more people came in they might help but it didn't help they just got louder. I have been to this area of Santa Rosa, and don't think of it being a high crime area. The sound was wonderful, but the lighting was average, often they would light up a band member that wasn't singing or playing, but it was much better than most places. We had a table, and got food, but the food was just average and there was beer and wine (average also). We may attend another show there, but hoping they will be mindful of the overkill security for the age groups that the band draws, and hope if they do keep the high security, they train them to not be rude to people, when entering the venue.

It's an elevated section above the beer garden, which that night had a singer with guitar. Service was pleasant though a little slow with drinks but they were pretty busy. We both had margaritas to start, which were $16 plus $3 for call brand so $19 each. Pretty good but not too strong. I then had the Hopmunk hefewisen beer which was only $8, much more reasonable. I had the Biergarten cheeseburger on a pretzel bun, cooked perfectly medium rare. Served with caramelized onions, bacon, smoked Gouda and a beer cheese, it was tasty but pretty messy! Cost was $23 plus I subbed a kale Caesar for $2 which was good but not worth the hype as a little dry. Husband had the grilled mole chicken with mole sauce and Spanish rice for $24. It was a large portion with two pieces of chicken and he enjoyed it. We then saw a show in the stone tavern next to the beer garden. It's an intimate venue with not a bad view in the house. We had seats because my husband is disabled so we're right in the front row. Otherwise it was standing only. Great acoustics and venue. The wings taste pretty fresh and they do give you blue cheese and ranch with them, as well as vegetables like carrots and celery. However you are paying $17 for eight wings just a heads up. My friend personally did not enjoy the chicken plate. She felt like the chicken did not taste fresh but quite frankly, we were unable to get our waiters attention throughout our whole time seated there so at the end, we decided to just leave it without saying anything. The service is the reason for the lower rating. I think the food was pretty decent, but the service was not up to par. Service here was mediocre. Staff was friendly and helpful at the event, whether serving us drinks or helping us find our seats. The venue was plain looking both inside and outside. The seats in the auditorium (Ruth Finley Person Theater) were basic but not uncomfortable. And the view, even from the last row in the back on the lower level, was decent. Sound from the stage was fine, clear enough that I could hear every single word the comedian used to keep the crowd rolling with laughter, including myself of course. Good times!
