Like most people, I thought I knew what I had to do to lose weight. I have tried to lose weight on my own without any true lasting results. I had changed my diet and was working out regularly, but the weight always seemed to come off slowly. I started looking online to see if there was something out there that could help me on my lifestyle change. That is when I came across this ad on face book. In addition, there are other people attending the camp that are in the same battle as you are. They are striving to lose weight, get fit, and eat healthy. Everyone is supportive of one another. This place is so amazing. The group isn't the most uplifting or welcoming for a "new comer" but i was in the class for the workout itself. Which whoa!!! That hour Hit the spot. Instructor Herman was awesome with military style yet helpful input not individually targeted with just the right amount of push. I joined a friend that committed to a 6 month training course. There was plenty of sanitizing spray, clean equipment, and spaced out workout areas for each person. We stretched first then He kicked it off with outdoor Cardio jogging onto the side of the building quick sets of 10 jumping Jack's. We quickly hustled back into the gym where he had a board with different reps beginning with 50x 10 lb dumbbell in which you stand in a half squat with your chest out and head up hold one dumbbell with both hands between your feet. let the weight drift back between your legs to gather momentum. then in an explosive manner stand tall and extend your hips up and forward to swing the weight to your eye level followed with sets of 30 push ups declining 5 layers down to 25 thrusts and steady 15 push ups. If we finished before the whistle blew drink your water and keep your heart rate up. Next were the lifted weight squats and push through planks in 6 sets of 30. Coach ended the session with a run through on class info as well as reminder about protein intake after. I haven't taken a group class or been sore in a long time. Felt great to bump it up a notch and hit forgotten muscle cells. Also the join is awesome. It's 6 months for about $300 and a goal to reach. If you reach the goal you get your money back. I lost a total of 23.4 pounds in the 6 weeks challenge!! I knew something had to change I've tried to lose weight before but nothing really worked!! A family friend mentioned The Camp Transformation Center before and I've lived in Arlington all my life and remember driving by it's close to home so that's a plus. I wasn't 100% sure though so I was still looking at other basic gyms. Then a FB ad popped up on my feed for The Camp. That's when I knew I had to do this, I said why not and my sister & I attended orientation. I was greeted by a fun friendly staff and I met Blake. That day my sister & I signed the contract for the 6 weeks the next day we went to the nutrition seminar and that Monday we started our diet/ workouts. The Camp Transformation has a super friendly environment. The staff is super kind and helpful. Unlike most gyms with a lot of equipment that is "do it yourself". This gym is more like a class full of REAL people. The trainers are super motivating, helpful, and accommodating. They will push you to give your best without compromising your health. If you're in pain or can't do certain workouts they will provide you with modifications so that you can still get your exercise in and be a part of the class. Joining The Camp has been a great experience and probably the best Thing I have done for myself. I may not have lost 20lbs in 6 weeks but I learned so much about my body. I feel stronger and healthier...I have been able to drink 1 gallon of water everyday nothing but water and my body feels awesome. I did lose 6lbs and some inches and a NSV (non scale victory) I'm super proud of is that I'm able to run around the building without stopping!!!! I was not able to do that when I started. I started the 6 week challenge in January and I'm so glad I did. Working out 5 times a week was very tough but focusing on my goal and having a game plan was my key to success. The workouts are difficult but going at my own pace and slowly growing in strength was encouraging and by week 2 I saw my muscle endurance grow more. I just finished the 6 week challenge and lost a total of 23 pounds. This was the best decision I could have made for my health.The trainers are very supportive and they facility has any and all the equipment necessary to reach any health goals. The Camp Transformation Center was incredibly helpful during their 6 week 20 lbs challenge. The trainers are always there to give you tips, answer questions, and make sure your form is correct during the workouts. The nutrition plan can be difficult for some people but keeping everything FTDI is key to success. Make sure you get that gallon of water in! Getting started is the hardest part. Seeing the changes over time are a great motivator to push you to not give up. I would definitely recommend the camp to anyone who wants to make healthy changes to their lifestyle. I went to the transformation center from June 22 2020- July 31 2020. The first week of the challenge, it was great! I lost 5 pounds!!! As the weeks went on, it got a little more frustrating for me because I wasn't seeing the results as fast as I wanted to. However, I always lost weight. In the final week, I had to do the Tilapia and asparagus diet and it sucked. As far as the workouts, the instructors were great I worked mainly with Harmon, Douglas, and Sandra and they were wonderful instructors. I actually looked more forward to the workouts than the diet part LOL. The receptionists were always nice, the facility was pretty clean, and everyone for the most part maintained their distance. The reason why I gave it three stars was because the lack of communication (I called the transformation center a few times regarding masks and to set up my final appointment but they never called or text me back), and the fact that the members and challengers were not wearing masks. I understand everyone has different viewpoints about the whole mask situation, but please put safety above everything else. read more

Normally I have a great time at Camp: Arlington but today I received the worst customer service ever! Gabby and Mo refused to let me in! The two stood there conversing and watching others work out and did not allow for me to check in. Once they were finish with leisure time, they told me I was 2 minutes passed the time to check in. I advised that I had been standing there waiting to be checked in while they were chatting and they still denied me access! I requested to speak with Blake and with a snooty attitude Gabby replied, "well, he's not here you're just going to have to wait for him". I asked for him to be called and they asked for me to leave the premises! Terrible receptionist! I have gained endurance that I didn't have before, I can now successfully do 4 different types of pushups (Never really had upper body strength before). The people I met through this 6 week hard body challenge were wonderful and encouraging. It is work, however it's worth the mindset change and investment in yourself to TRY something different. I had previously done the challenge at a different facility and loved it. When I came to the facility in Arlington I was welcomed with open arms and smiling faces. The trainers and staff were also very nice and knowledgeable on the workouts. Everyone offered support and helping hands. The workouts are extremely challenging and the trainers will push you to the next level. The only thing I would change is to have more equipment and mirrors in the gym. 5/31/17 Friday I completed my first six week challenge with #TCTCArlington, I've been waiting for a good moment to write about my experience. First off, when I decided to go and get info at the Camp I was at a very low point regarding my health. Sleepless nights (from pain) and naps on the couch everyday after work were my norm (no energy whatsoever). I also was not a fan of what the mirror had to say. I knew it was well past time for a drastic change in my life! Once I was fully informed of what the Camp had to offer and what it would take from me I was on-board, it didn't scare me at all because I knew the "fit" me was underneath those layers of "love". The challenge was not easy, I would say the hardest part for me was FTDI the whole time - sticking to that menu is a "challenge" in itself! But finding my inner-strength, physically and mentally was well worth it and very rewarding. Shout out to my #AFF at the Arlington location, you guys ROCK! 7/17/17 Great place to jump-start your health again, after being sedentary for three years I knew it was time! I completed my second challenge today and couldn't be happier with the results, the 12 weeks I invested into The Camp were life changing! I'd highly suggest this place to anyone that's ready to get serious about their health. The staff at The Camp Transformation Center Arlington have provided me with the means to live a healthier active life. It is not a typical gym environment where you are on your own. They work with you so you can learn the various exercises. They are encouraging and very supportive. I believe this was paramount to the success of my first six week challenge. The nutritional seminar prior to the start of the challenge was the other key to my success. You truly do become part of a family here. Hello everyone! I would like to share with you the experience that I have the pleasure to have for the last 2 month. Back in April, I had decide to change my looks, I want to be fit again, I want to have the body that I had lost over the years. I decided to enjoy The Jeff Camp Arlington, a fitness place that have become much more them just fitness place. I was determined to loose weight and be fit; and all of team member was right with me! I come to class every day! And day by day I fell my body making progress. After 1st week lost more than 6lbs, as the weeks progress my weight just getting lower, my body gettimg strong. The friendship around the participants, has been stronger and stronger as we share our commun goals, and the motivation around us has been amazing, we have developed such great boundary, always there for each other, we are very tide! After the 6th week, I lost 22.5 total weight lost! I did it! This is a program that has been more than a Challenge in my life, I have found an group of individuos that I call family, and they are awesome! Thank AFF, I love you guys! The people are great. The workouts are doable. They offer workout modifications as well. I had 2 sprained wrist, so basically weak. I'm just plan weak all over. This does open you eyes to your life style. If your wanting a change, this would be it. Your not limited to one gym. The hours are not reasonable to some with different work hours. I enrolled with the camp under false information that was given in the initial meeting. I was informed by Blake that I would get 2 chances outside of the first chance for the 6wk challenge. I ran into a few pit stops along the way with losing my grandmother and with my aunt being sent home on hospice. None of that mattered to them though. I informed Tia both times and it was just a pass over conversation on her end. I was completely lied to with some of the ppl here saying it is like family....... I can not say bad things about Herman nor Sandi (trainers) they are awesome! I do not know why Blake would have lied to me and then in the end I was told by Tia that Blake would call me about my final weigh in and I NEVER RECEIVED A CALL! I have lost more weight on my own than I did at the camp. I would not recommend the camp to anyone simply because I was lied to in the beginning of the process. I met some very awesome ppl here but other than that...... the meal plan is not conducive for all body types and why do they NOT..... take BMI and inches for the 20lb challenge????? That makes no sense! I lost a lot of inches and my BMI decreased as well. I will also write a review with BBB as well because one thing I can not deal with is a liar! I have had a lot of people come to me and ask what I am doing different and I tell them about the camp but strongly advise them NOT to sign up at all! One of my coworkers actually went to a meeting and she stated that Blake told her the same thing about the additional chances to lose weight if she did not meet her goal during the first challenge. I informed her that that was a lie and not to give them a dime. I am so disappointed in the camp because I truly thought that this would be great for me and I would be able to tell others how great they are but I can not do that. I recently completed the six week 20lb challenge at the camp, Nov 6-Dec 18th, 2017. I had nothing but a great experience. The staff are very friendly and are there to help you reach your goals. They answer any questions you may have without hesitation and asking questions is encouraged. You train with the best of the best with the trainers. It's a very positive environment and everyone there is working towards the same goal and are very encouraging. I did not reach the 20lbs weight loss, i had a 14.6lbs loss but still that was a gain in my health journey for me. I honestly didn't follow the eating plan every week to the "T" as i should have. The weeks where i solely followed the plan to the "T" I got the most weight loss in those weeks. With that being said, if you actually follow the plan like instructed, you WILL lose the weight. The only area i would like for them to improve on is stating why you are following this specific eating plan and with the food log that we fill out, to meet with us one-on-one to discuss it. So if you strayed away or may think you are following the eating plan, it can be corrected. Overall, I gained a lot from going through the program. I learned how to eat better which is what i struggle with the most and it got me moving again. I feel so much better right now; i am less bloated, i now recognize my limits when eating, and i realized how much better healthier food makes you feel. I also learned that cooking healthy food is easier than i thought. I am excited to continue my improved health and fitness journey. For someone who hardly let things get to her, I was extremely disappointed during my orientation at this location. I have always been very serious about working out and staying healthy, so when a friend of mine recommended this place, I was so excited to find out about their programs that I scheduled an appointment with them 45min later. When I got there, "Blake" was not around but met his brother (if I remember correctly). After waiting for 10min, he finally came to get me and told me about the program, showed me around and I was pretty impressed; considering I've done something similar before. When we went back into the office, he started talking about the fee and the contract. After reading the contract, what stood out to me was something about "posting a short story five times a week" on Facebook, concerning your workout program. While I have no problem with people doing that, I tried to explain that it would be a problem for me because I left Facebook long time ago. I tried explaining to him that I hardly get on the computer after leaving the office because I'm already tired and hardly get into social media. Before I could finish my sentence, he interrupted and told me that "obviously, this is not a priority to you". WHAT!!!, I took time during my lunch break to go see them, this was after hearing about them 45min before.....if I wasn't serious, would I had considered it? Or even make the drive? He probably didn't know how painful it was to hear that, but learning more about customer service would go a long way.... read more

I just finished my first challenge and will be rolling over into my next. The camp has been a great, life changing experience. I've had multiple gym memberships in the past and would go for the first few weeks, not see results and stop. Honestly I was worried that I'd do the same here but I stuck to it, and I made it. I joined the camp by accident I first saw an ad on Facebook and I thought it was a gimmick soon after I realized it was a challenge I needed I decided to do something for myself my life evolves around to my family my husband my children and I decided to do something selfish and focus on me. My experience with The Camp has been a great challenge for me! Being able to figure out what to eat, what to eat and how to workout all ties together. And I've learned all this with the great teamwork The camp has provided!! There were some days where I struggled some more than others but it all worked out because i had great people along the side of me encouraging every step of the way. Couldn't have done it without them but most of all kept myself going thru it all. No pain ! No Gain! Whether or not I lost the 20 I'm still going to apply the same concepts to my life because i feel it has made a difference in the way I feel, do things and just go about my days now. I just completed my first challenge and i am excited about moving on to my next challenge. From the time I attended orientation to today, the staff has been very helpful and knowledgeable about the process of losing weight while eating right and working out. I've lost weight before but I've never been so successful in such a short time frame while not starving myself or completing a fad diet. I knew I needed a new way of doing things that included nutrition and fitness, but I also knew I needed accountability and flexible workout schedules. The camp has provided me with that accountability through weekly weigh ins and group fitness requirements. Because they offer classes in the morning and evening, I've been able to choose whichever fits my daily schedule. I like having that flexibility with accountability.
