Recently they have made a lot of improvements to this gym which I really appreciate. Before almost every treadmill was broken. Now we have almost all new cardio equipment. The people who work here are friendly and always say hello and help you with anything you need. The locker room could use a redo and there are not many fitness classes offered but all in all it's a 24 hour gym near my house. Not much more I can ask for. read more

Everything! Hygiene of the place. The bathrooms need to be cleaned, locker rooms. Carpet needs to be cleaned. The odor of the locker room is RIDICULOUS! The whole place needs to be sanitize. And it needs to be cleaned by staff, not relying on customers/patrons to do it. They need to fix the broke TVs! Every one has lines in them. They charge too much money for the gym to be kept the way it is. They need to add 2.5 weights. They need a cardio row machine. read more

there are some good things about this place, but too many bad things for my personal taste. It's TOO OLD. If it wasn't for the fact this is the closest thing to my house and works with my schedule I would go to another gym and I constantly consider changing even still. The good: * Plenty of machines * From my experience even on peak days and times they have enough machines The bad: * Smelly (like more than most gyms) * Too long. There's literally a corner to get to the weight area * staff is stale, they just look and talk miserable, expect one lady she always sweet. THE WORST PART: * THE BATH and locker rooms, they are totally old and dingy. The whole place has a out of touch vibe and just looks off putting The showers are horrible and need to be remodeled asap! They're worst than showers in a high school, and I truly don't think they clean the showers regularly. I went back there a few times and still saw the same strands of hair in the same place for like a week it's disgusting. Love the equipment they have. I bought a day pass in the morning. I had an emergency I asked if I could leave and come back in an hour. The same day. I was told I'd have to buy another "day " pass. Look at the reviews by date, and you can see how bad this place got the last couple years. My husband and I were both members for several years. While it was great at first, it slowly went downhill. Staff stopped caring, machines would be left broken for months, benches were torn up. When COVID started, they weren't sanitizing and keeping anything clean. They didn't bother social distancing or wearing masks. Because of this we canceled our memberships. Except that they charged us after we canceled. When we called to try to resolve the issue, I was told I was being emotional and that my husband canceled his account but mine wasn't, and when I explained we went in together I was told "You expect me to believe you are together 24/7?". I was done and my husband went in person. He had to record the entire interaction where the owner was misogynistic and told my husband I was a liar. The entire thing was uncomfortable but he finally agreed to cancel my account and refund the money. Except he didn't. He continued to charge my account and we had to dispute it with our bank and give them the recording of the owner agreeing to cancel the account. Once the dispute was finalized and my money was returned, the owner committed fraud by charging one full amount of the money the dispute gave me back. The bank is handling it now but this business is a nightmare. read more

I joined because the price is right and it's close to my condo so I'll have no excuse not to use it. The facility is Very clean and spacious. The staff is very friendly and always waves goodbye when I leave. I've been going here for a couple years now and the equipment is always in working order. The county facility down the road was less than half the size and equipment was often out of order for a week or two. That is not the case here. If you're into legs there's a lot leg machines and also plenty of cardio equipment which I like. This gym has something for everyone. The only negative I have is that awhile back I had canceled a credit card so they charged a late fee the very same day they were putting the monthly charge through. I updated my credit card billing later that day but they wouldn't refund the fee. The manager was very pleasant and said he would not have charged me the fee if I told him before they put my new card through. Lesson learned and although it was a small amount of money it seemed like an easy money grab. read more

I get that each person should be accountable for their own mess but instead of having 2 employees just sitting at the front desk chitchatting, one can walk around and see if trash is laying around or sanitizing down the machines. Hands down the best $10 a month I've spent so far! I go to the gym a lot and used to attend other bigger commercial gyms and usually there's lack of machines due to a lot of people using them and/or they don't have enough machines to go around, PLUS a lot of times they're broken! I know this gym just opened and it isn't too busy yet, however when things do pick up, I don't think anyone will have a problem finding a machine or piece of equipment they need. For example, there's 3 squat racks, 3 leg presses, and A LOT of leg machines. Plenty of flat and incline benches (also 2 smith machines), and dumbbells go up to 150!!! Other PROS: - New equipment - Not too much people - Friendly staff - The music is AWESOME (EDM/techno/trance/upbeat stuff) - Open 24 hours Don't be scared, go out there and get you some! I joined Fitness Nation because the price is right and it's close to my home. The facility WAS pretty clean( per COVID-19), spacious, and lots of equipment to use. The staff is super friendly. My issue-I signed up and paid for a year in advance in February 2020 I believe. This would ensure I went because I was vested. HOWEVER, no one saw March 2020 coming! The gym was closed and didn't reopen until sometime in May. I only attempted one visit the pandemic hit because (1) I don't free safe inside a facility with more than 10 folks. (2) I don't how often the equipment or the ventilation system been cleaned (Sidenote I never saw anyone cleaning while I was there.) And lastly, the COVID-19 cases in this county/state/nation have NOT decreased-at all! So I will NOT put myself, family, and the community at risk to go to the gym. I have however continued working out every day outside. So I finally remembered to call today about a refund or some type of consideration. I was told not an option since I paid in advance? What?? How does this make sense? There's a cancelation form on the site; who's it for if not the people who pay in advance? Otherwise, it's a monthly fee. I was told paying in advance gets you a better rate. So it would just make sense to prorate based on what wasn't used like all the other businesses. This isn't an unreasonable request. What I know for sure is that I won't be going back and telling others about my experience as well. This was a simple ask and easy fit to keep a customer happy. First, let me start by saying I take ownership for putting the wrong card on file when I Originally signed up so that led to they're charging me the next time $26 instead of the original $16 fee I understood that and gave them a different card to put on file they would always have money in it and explain that as well. Great place to workout. They have plenty of cardio machines and are open 24 hours. Dry sauna is a plus (not 24hrs)! They also have Zumba and Cycle classes that are free with membership. Just FYI no track, pool, day care or wet sauna. Also, bring your own towel. Not your $70+ membership benefits, but definitely worth $10/month. Have to have card. read more

I found it hard to find a decent local gym post college (come'on UTA, just let me work out!) but after a few overcrowded, overpriced, or over-distanced misfits, I'm pretty happy at Fitness Nation. FN covered my list of requirements (24 hours, sauna, low monthly fee, staffed at all times) so I won't go into detail regarding those but will mention I work out late at night to purposely avoid crowds; I have no idea how busy it gets mornings, afternoons, or during fitness classes. That being said, the people I'm around are genuinely nice and while a few have offered tips or help, most keep to themselves. The layout is spacious and I can easily move to a different section if I want to be isolated for a bit. There are plenty of machines and free weights to work with and the staff continuously makes rounds to ensure things aren't just laying around. I bring my stuff, work out, and head home so for $10/month this is exactly what I need. While I would have loved a pool and WiFi, FN serves as a classic gym that I plan on sticking with for the long run. read more

Got a flyer in the mail for Fitness Nation about a week ago. Usually just toss that stuff in the trash but I'd been looking for something to supplement the cycling I do to work something other than legs. The sign-up fee was $150, then after that, $10 a month, except October which is $20 a month (maintenance fee?), so it comes out to a little over $20 a month the first year which is pretty reasonable. 30 day notice to cancel. The club itself is HUGE and well equipped. Treadmills, exercise bikes (which, unfortunately, like everywhere else, have pretty awful seats-hope the spin class allows you to bring your own seat), machine weights, free weights and sauna. Very well lit, friendly staff. The machines have great directions on them, plus the muscle groups they work. Best of all, it's less than 2 miles from where I live and since its on the north side of I-30, no traffic issues if there is anything going on at Jerry Jones Boss Hog Bowl. read more

Fitness Nation is a great gym to go to. To be fair, I've only gone once--with a guest pass. Access was quick and easy, and I feel their policy is reasonable. If you're going with a guest pass, make sure to work out before 8pm to avoid a $10 fee. The staff is nice, and the space is clean. Seems like there's a younger crowd, mostly male. Locker rooms are small and simple but work. Color scheme is red with black weights and some blue highlights. Layout is clean and nice with a variety of weights and equipment to choose from. Classes are canceled with no notice, kids play area is lacking decent conditioning and consists of a couch and tv. The staff is clueless, young, and unable to help in any situation. I sprained my ankle at the beginning of February in the middle of training for a 10K. I couldn't run anymore, but once I was able to walk again I joined Fitness Nation to gain some strength and endurance while my ankle was healing. I also started with a trainer to help me learn some exercises and stretches that would strengthen my ankles and get me ready for this race. I had 6 weeks off from running before my race but ran it this past weekend, a 5K instead of a 10K because I wasn't able to train really, but I beat my 5K time by 2.5 minutes, *after* my injury. The staff and trainers at Fitness Nation helped me get stronger and I am really happy with my race results, considering I was out for so long. I'm a stay at home mom and have to choose my gym time wisely and Fitness Nation is there for me always. The closest gym to me before this opened was LA and I'll never go there, and other gyms are just too far away. I love coming in late when the gym is mostly empty but even during peak hours I have never had to wait for a cardio machine. The staff is so friendly and helpful and the trainers are really knowledgeable. If it wasn't for this gym and the staff I wouldn't have been able to make the most of my ankle recovery time and I may not have been able to run that race. I'm excited to continue here and gain strength, balance and endurance so I can become an even better runner. Now that my ankle is doing better I also can't wait to try some of the group classes. I'd recommend this gym to anyone in the area. I understand I could get results at a lot of different gyms, so a large part of this review gives kudos to Fitness Nation for just being in just the right location. But now that I am here I am really happy with what I've experienced so far. read more

Fitness Nation is great! I was looking for an inexpensive gym that wouldn't sacrifice quality of equipment or atmosphere to be affordable. I love how the gym has everything I could want or need for exercise equipment. I didn't want to join somewhere I would have to be paying for a whole bunch of unnecessary features I would never use. For $10 a month, I get everything I need. Even the training is decently priced! I met with Spencer who showed me around and set up a plan for me. They had a special for students at the time which helped me stay on budget even more. I joined about 4 months ago and wouldnt go anywhere else. I've been training with Spencer about 2-3 times a week ever since I've joined and my strength gains more than pay for themselves. TGM is stocked with trainers who have an enormous amount of knowledge, they can help you get any type of results you want. I highly recommend checking these guys out. A word of advice, check their website to see if they are running any specials before you go in. You may be able to get an even better deal! read more

Those who have given a good rating to this place are obviously not worried about health issues. This is the dirtiest gym I've been to by far, even before the pandemic I felt I had to shower twice. The staff is clueless and barely got me signed up only because it was so cheap. Canceling my membership was a battle and they got two free months out of me after I requested to cancel. The manager is always "with a customer" when I tried to approach about refunds but I had seen him tell the front desk to tell callers that while he was working out. Greatly unimpressed read more

My go to gym for sure. Only complaint I have is that sometimes it's cold af in there. Other than that it's the best. Usually go at later times when there's no traffic in there. Just like every other gym peak hours are after work hours. It's 24 hrs everyday unlike fitness connection. read more

This gym is a great gym, equipment is excellent management is great except training is very annoying when you sign up, they won't stop sending you messages even after you say no. The energy is very welcoming when I come in, the afternoon front desk staff is excellent. I will say the only thing that really ruins my workouts is how cold the gym is! The cardio section feels good but once I get to the weight area FREEZING and It's a gym, it's made for sweating but every time I work out I barely even sweat due to the temperature inside. Young & old work out here- it's always open, it's always clean and there are lots of machines whether it's for strength or cardio. Price at $10 month with no commitment cannot be beat anywhere. I have worked out here for well over a year between 3-5 times a week, and this place is great. They have tons of machines- treadmills, stairmasters, free weights, cable machines, squat racks, you name it. I see people young and old and of all athletic levels working out here.
