Onsite restaurant and bar means you have all you need for your stay. Locals and travelers use the facility for a great night out on the town and an elegant overnight stay. I have been to this hotel 7 times since February. Each time I stay I pick a new room. Try to get a tour or check out their web site before booking. Every room was designed by a different designer and unique. All the rooms are pure luxury. Linen, furniture, floors, deep soaker tubs and more. By far, one of the worst hotels I've been to. The sheets were dirty and stained. When we asked them for new sheets, they didn't seem surprised by the fact that they hadn't been changed. Gross!! The bathroom sink didn't drain. We could hear everyone in the rooms next to us. We had a "suite" with a possible attachment to the room next to us. There was at least 3 or 4 inches underneath those doors...enough to see their reflections in the dirty hard wood floors. The furniture was extremely old and dirty. Had to complain about someone doing some kind of hammering in their room during the night. Absolute worst experience I've had in a hotel. Didn't even feel comfortable enough to shower before we checked out. Our bill was almost $300 for one night!! read more

Our family stayed here for a wedding. Awesome staff; everyone so helpful. Rooms are nicely outfitted. Restaurant attached. Sadly, I didn't get to partake of the spa or lovely bar. If you have to stay in Tulsa, this is the place. If I have any critique, it was that I had tv remote issues and the shower water pressure isn't as strong as I would have liked. But considering the hotel was built in the 1920's it was passable and the shower in our room was huge. Really, a great place and so convenient. read more

I stayed here in October 2019 and didn't really know what to expect since this hotel did not exist when I was in Tulsa and it appeared to be an antique, boutique hotel. That's exactly what it was and that's not usually my style. It has one elevator, loud wooden floors, and no central air and heat in the rooms at least. It was freezing when I checked in and I was not excited about the mounted heater on the wall. It took me forever to figure it out and I even had to have the gentlemen at the front desk come help me. Luckily, the room heated up quicker than I expected and that heater was powerful. I recommended pre-heating the rooms when you know a guest is checking in, especially when it's soooo cold outside. The bed was comfortable and I looked forward to the advertised continental breakfast the next morning. I walked past a display of individually packaged muffins looking for breakfast only to discover that those muffins were the breakfast. Sigh. I had to alter my plans to get breakfast elsewhere. I would stay here again on business if needed, but it's probably not a hotel I would choose on my own. If these kinds of hotels are your thing though, I think you would love it! read more

We stayed at The Campbell Hotel while on a music tour. The moment we walked in, we felt as if we were walking through history. The building is beautiful, the decor is rustic with a modern touch, and the hospitality was great. Upon entering our room, we were blown away with the size and warm feeling it gave us. We were happy to call our room home for 2 nights! The toiletries provided were better quality than most, the keurig in the room was nice, and the bed was incredibly comfortable. We hear each room is a different theme decorated by different designers. We'd love to return and stay in a different room each time. It's location on Route 66 is wonderful... if those walls could talk! Right next door is a restaurant that stayed open later (which was great because we checked in later in the evening). The food was fabulous and staff provided entertaining conversation. When in Tulsa, this will be our accommodation of choice. Thanks for the comfortable stay. read more

I travel to Tulsa frequently, and I am very happy to have found this little hotel. Great decor and very nicely appointed rooms. The staff has been very professional, and I really enjoy having a bar in the hotel so I can have a glass of wine before going to bed. I thought the complementary breakfast was fantastic - the best by far of any hotel that I've stayed at in Tulsa. It's best to request a room that does not face the busy Main Street that the hotel sits on.I have one suggestion that would greatly improve my experience, however: better showerheads. I really wish American hotels would adopt the use of hand held shower heads. The ones in the rooms I've stayed in are not only fixed, they are not adjustable at all. The spray was thin and not very soothing. But overall I really like the place, and I intend to stay there any time I go to Tulsa read more

Oh my god, I can't say enough about this old school boutique hotel on historic Rt 66. I stayed first about 4-5 months ago on a cold, chilly winter night. That night I ended up in the Leon Russell room. Meticulously decorated to honor the late Russell, you feel like you are in a unique room. The room is smaller than expected and it might be too small for Two people, especially if your gentleman friend is larger. But for me, this was perfect for a relaxation spot. The cool colors were soothing. I decided to a second day and just relaxed. Didn't leave the room. I recently returned and was put in a larger sweet just as beautiful. My only complaint was the skylight woke me up early but I quickly went back to sleep. The hardwood floors are gorgeous, the bathrooms pure luxury, but most important, beds are perfect. I stayed at The Campbell for a wedding. The rooms are very unique & cute. The staff was friendly. My only concern was the cleanliness. It appears to be clean, but when I got into bed I felt something in the sheets & it was an iPhone charger..... That wasn't mine. It was INBETWEEN the sheets, so if they would have changed the sheets between visits- it wouldn't have been there. I told the guy at the front desk and he just said "thanks for telling me" and didn't offer to get a manager. I was thinking I deserved a discounted night or some sort of compensation for something that unsanitary. Needless to say, I won't stay there again. I stayed here for two nights while on a work trip. Check-in was easy and I was originally assigned to room 209. When I first walked into the room I found a bloody band-aid on the top blanket of the bed. I grabbed a tissue and flushed it telling myself that it must have stayed stuck on through the wash. (now I'm questioning if they even wash the top blanket at all) The next morning I found bedbugs in the sheets. At this point I'd had enough. I mentioned the bedbugs to the front desk, and showed the the pictures I'd taken. The guy at the front desk seemed somewhat concerned (although not apologetic) and assigned me to room 220. I asked him if this was a common thing there, and he said no. So I packed up all my stuff and changed rooms. It should be noted that I had to do this on my lunch break since I was there for work and couldn't be late in the morning. So aside from missing breakfast, I also missed lunch. Once in the new room, it was hard to shake the issues I'd had in the old room. The next morning after a rough night on a lumpy mattress I asked about the "free" breakfast mentioned on the website. Only to be told that the "free breakfast" isn't provided at the government rate... Sigh, I mean it's fine, but this stay was just one disappointment followed by another, with zero compensation and not really even an apology. Now that I'm home I've got to take extra precautions bringing my luggage into my home, washing clothes in hot water and fogging my bag. For me, the "cute-ness" of the the hotel wasn't worth the significant hassle that came with it. read more

This place used to be great. The owner let go of some really great employees or their employees got tired of the piss poor attitude from the owner. He treats his workers like people treat their sneakers, like crap. The restaurant used to be good too, but since a year and a half ago it too has gone downhill. Much like the owners attitude. Years ago I'd of given this place a 4 or 5 star, but sadly because of the way I've seen the owner treats his employees, I've watched an establishment go from a place I would recommend to everyone to a place I would tell people to avoid. This hotel is quite unique and "cool". We found it thru Yelp and will stay here again when we return but next time will be sure to stay in a room not next to the street. Our room was not large but worked fine for our needs and the bed could have been firmer. My wife liked the white robe in the closet and took advantage of the in room coffee machine. After one try we got used to the step up into the bathroom. The TV remote was easy to use with many channels and its size nice. The wi-fi signal was generally good but somewhat unreliable. The comp. breakfast is minimal and is one element they should consider improving. read more

Was in town for a week doing some research and needed a place nearby TU. Found this one and took a chance. Incredibly happy I did. Room was wonderful, clean and spacious. My only knock (not enough to take it down a star) was a lack of a small desk for work; however, was able to make do on one of the comfy arm chairs and small coffee table in the separate seating area (!). The bed was very comfortable, and there were extra pillows in the walk-in closet (double !!) if needed. The decor throughout was eclectic, but very pleasing; I spent some time my first day there just walking through the halls and admiring the art, particularly upstairs. The room was very quiet; unless people were in the hall outside my door, I barely heard a peep. The staff are what you would hope for from such a place; everyone, from bartenders and waitresses to desk attendants, took a moment to at least chat, if not be friendly; by week's end, I was being greeted by name whenever I would pop in somewhere. When they found out I was a history buff, they showed me a list of all the things that had been in the building prior to the Campbell, and even pointed out a few residual features here and there. The included breakfast at Maxwell's, though from a somewhat limited menu, was made fresh each morning, and the coffee was hot, strong, and plentiful. The cocktail lounge was fine, though I would have enjoyed a wider selection of local beer, considering there's a craft brewery less than a mile away. It is a very easy drive down to Cherry Street (walkable, if one feels ambitious); downtown was just a few miles away. I had friends pick me up and take me out to various spots around the city, and nothing was more than a 5-10 minute drive away, including downtown. Was almost directly across the street from TU campus, which was incredibly convenient. I am now looking for an excuse to return to Tulsa and enjoy a different room at this wonderful little place. read more

Had a wedding reception at their event center. They called a week before our reception and told us that they could not accommodate our original booking and that we were going to be charged additional amounts. We went from having cleanup included to being required to clean it ourselves. We went from having linens and place settings included to being charged for them. Water? Charged. Tea? Charged. Ice? Charged! Again, this all being contradictory to our original agreement which we had ALREADY paid for. The event manager is one of the rudest people I've ever encountered and the waitress that was to be included was hardly ever there. There was a lot more that was infuriating but I feel like I'm getting the basic idea across. DO NOT BOOK THIS SPACE FOR YOUR EVENT. There will be problems. Lots of them. Do yourself a favor and avoid this place like the plague. read more

We had planned our son & his fiancé wedding at another Venue a year in advance. We found out 4 days before their wedding that the venue had messed up our reservation so we had to find another place. I called Campbell Hotel & Event Center and they stepped up and turned a very stressful time into a awesome experience. All of the staff went above & beyond the normal to make sure everything was perfect. They all helped make the wedding a beautiful and fun time. Beautiful boutique hotel just outside downtown Tulsa on historic route 66. All the rooms are decorated in a different theme. We stayed in the route 66 suite; comfortable king bed and beautifully appointed room. The sofa in the adjoining room makes into a full bed. A big plus was the Kuerig coffee maker and real creamer available in each room. In town for a conference, I booked one night. After receiving my credit card statement I discovered additional charges. I called the hotel to inquire. I was charged for "ruined towels". The only use those towels got was drying off after a shower. I asked for management to explain further, I was told someone would have to call me back. That phone call never came and here we are. I wanted to love this historical hotel but charging me for use of the towels is unacceptable. After reading other reviews where blood was on the pillowcases of a guests room I doubt very seriously that my "ruined towels" went into the rubbish. I would bet money those towels are currently in use. Basic amenities such as a hairdryer were not provided and there were several large areas were the walls had been patched but never painted. When I asked for help finding my room, none of the staff knew the layout well enough to assist. Very disappointing. No more boutique hotels for me, in the future I will stick with the large chains that provide excellent service and don't add fraudulent charges to my bill. read more

We booked this hotel for 2 rooms for our family about 1-2 months ago. When booking, the travel website stated one of the rooms came with a roll away bed so 3 people (1 adult, 2 teenagers) would be able to fit in 1 room comfortably (we also had 2 adults in the second room). We booked our rooms well in advanced, and paid way more than standard hotel pricing for Tulsa, because of the reviews, quaint appearance, and convenient location of The Campbell Hotel to Tulsa University. However, we were SO SO disappointed with the hotel and the POOR customer service by the manager Diane. When we checked in, we asked the nice front desk girl, Lindsey, about the roll away bed. She said she didn't think the room had one but would call her manager. We all proceeded into our two rooms while waiting to speak with her. One of the rooms had stains on the pillow linen and sheet, and was overall subpar and run down. It was decorated in a way to hide this so the pictures look nice, but the rooms are definitely okay at best. The other room had no roll away bed inside it, and Lindsey called the manager Diane to see why the site had advertised that (we showed her the site). Diane, the MANAGER, spoke to us in such a condescending manner and says "Why did you walk into the room, now I can't give it to anyone else." Then she yelled at the poor front desk girl (on the phone) for letting us into our PRE-PAID room. Then she told us there was never any roll away, and someone could walk us to another hotel because there were two people waiting for the room so it can be used by another person (we later learned two of the rooms AC units had broken so I assuming these were the people she was eager to displace us for). When asked to clarify what she meant, since we were obviously shocked at the response and lack of help to fix the situation, she said verbatim "do you know what the word walk means?" It was so beyond insulting and demeaning. She just kept rushing us to leave the hotel so she could book it for someone else- it was extremely disappointing and overall sketchy. The front desk girl was beyond helpful but other than her, the entire experience was terrible and we will not be repeat customers. Also FYI when they say free breakfast it means granola bars and muffins purchased in bulk and a Keurig machine. Save your time, effort, and money and go down the road to the many other available hotels. read more
