So my husband and I decided to use a gift card for The Brew house in Spruce Grove to get take out for supper last night. It was a gift card we got for Christmas. For a fifty dollar gift card we got two plastic containers of cold fries, you know the kind you get when you buy frozen crinkle cut fries, I ordered a chicken burger and my husband a bacon cheeseburger and they were both awful. Most disgusting disappointing meal I've had in a very long time. That cost an unbelievable $50! Absolutely horrible food, so sad when a place cares so little about their customers. Service has always been slow. Appreciated the dog friendly patio. However the price of the food for what you order is not good. This was definitely something I could have made at home and it would have more on it. Not impressed with the food, price of the food or the service. Went around noon, not very many people. Ordered dessert because I was still hungry, and they forgot to give it to me, so by the time it came my ice cream was melted. Now in all fairness I know I wasn't happy with the Melting Pot but this reservation was made prior to our visit. So we get to The Canadian Brewhouse and wait to be seated. They scan our QR code and ask us if we had a reservation. Wait isn't this prepaid ticket a reservation? Well apparently not. We had a table set aside but instead of a cozy booth for my fiancée and I it was a group table that they took place settings away from. So now we've been seated, it's clearly a success judging by the fact that more than half the tables in here have a fondue pot. So service was the Brewhouse servers mixed with one woman from The Melting Pot. So beer is on special like normal but my only complaint is that there is no selection of craft beer on tap...please please please can we rectify this? Anyways the fondue was to be expected, nothing to write home about but for a romantic dinner for two is was a great choice. The broth was weak unfortunately but the beef was seasoned spectacularly. Our dessert was a turtle chocolate fondue and I will say they did not cheap out on the chocolate. All in all our poor server was run off her feet but she did a great job. The meal in general is still nothing to go out of your way for but the service from The Canadian Brewhouse staff was spectacular like we have come to expect from this location. read more

The server was nice, attentive but not overly so. I ordered the Getta Porchetta Sandwich with a side of disappointment. The "porchetta" was more like a pulled pork texture than an actual porchetta and tasted ok, came with a fresh bun that had a cute little CBH stamped right into the bun before being baked. My side of disappointment was the soup of the day...pho. The broth was overly spicy, the tiny noodles under done and the meat overdone. The overpowering spice of the soup totally masked the flavour of the sandwich. Hubby had the meatza pizza. Not terrible, a bit on the salty side, but we had cold beer to sip, so that was good. read more

Canadians, to me, always seem to live up their reputation of being friendly, warm and hospitable. But the service we received at the Canadian Brewhouse on 14 July simply blew us away - and if I could give 6 stars I would! Our server Shanice was uber nice and insisted we sample the draft beer before ordering. When we mentioned we were from the U.S. (a potentially risky move in the Trump era), she revved up the welcome-wagon, and asked if we'd tried Poutine (we had and did not want to do so again). But she said theirs was very good, so we gave Buffalo Chicken Poutine a shot and she was right - it was excellent! As we were enjoying our Poutine, the bartender/manager (idiot me forgets his name) dropped by to welcome us plus offered a sample of Canadian Whiskey!! Both Shanice and the manager were very enthusiastic about their home country and encouraged us to visit other parts. Having such a great time we decided to try a Donair Pizza and some wings - both were also super! While all good things must come to an end, we hated to leave and regretted not having more time left in Canada so that we could come back. read more

This spruce grove location treats food couriers like garbage. They will make food couriers wait the longest for food even though we are there at the time it says to be there to pick up food. Do not bother ordering from here as you the customer will not get your food in a timely manner because the restaurant puts everyone else first and makes the food couriers wait the longest. I have waited 20,30 minutes past pick up time. No apologies given, they are rude and arrogant here. I do not recommend this place too many bugs in the restaurant and the manager is a little man with an attitude. There are much better places to order from like The Beer Hunter where they treat couriers with respect. read more

If I could give this negative stars, I would. We ordered a few appetizers, chicken burger with fries and regular burger with braised beef poutine. Our whole order was cold, not room temperature, cold. The gravy had congealed. The fries were cold, soggy, and undercooked. I was too afraid to eat the chicken burger as that's how you get food poisoning. The little bit of breading I did try, tasted like burnt fryer oil. They also added tomatoes to everything, even when they were not part of the descriptions. The only thing that was notable and tasted good was the free pierogies that we got. For the amount that they charge, you'd think they would put more effort and care into their products. I definitely do not recommend this place. It is not worth the money or time. No one should have to pay for cold, soggy food. read more

very pleased with my experience today. this place is good with daily specials and the staff make it easy for someone to feel at home. the place has an open bar in the center with lots of booths around the restaurant as well. there's a game area in which people can play Nintendo like golf (super cool) televisions throughout the entire bar, and the menu is filled with lots of options. The descriptions to their menu items make it enjoyable to browse what they have. I ordered the half sized Poutine (French fries with gravy and cheese all that good stuff) and for my main meal I got a pound of wings in which were delicious! I ordered the golden garlic fingers. Great food, and drinks! For the most part friendly staff. Me and a group of friends went out from my birthday, and only got served every half hour or so. We got so frustrated with the service we switched sections. If I see this employee there I purposely don't go to that section. DISGUSTING STAFF and MANAGEMENT BEHAVIOR!!!!! This event occurred Friday August 23rd, 2013 around 6pm. As we were leaving a Red two door car License Plate beginning with ERN, pulled into the other handicap stall beside my vehicle. This young able bodied man informed him that that was a handicap stall. He replied that he knew this and that "it's ok I can park there because I WORK at the BREWHOUSE", and "I'll will only be a few minutes." I tried to tell him that that is for people with Handicap Placards, and that it was not a "Loading Zone Parking Spot." He had every intention of going into the restaurant he was opening the door to go in and he was leaving his vehicle in the Handicap Stall, until I started to call Bylaw RCMP Enforcement. Then he got disgruntled and decided to move his vehicle. He knew full well that it is not acceptable to park in the handicap stalls without proper paperwork and placards. I contacted the manager at the restaurant, and he seemed to also be under the impression that it is acceptable for his staff to park in the handicap stalls without having the required handicap placards, as long as they are only going to be a few minutes. What if a person in a wheelchair wanted to go eat there, but couldn't park and get out of their vehicle because some ignorant little punk is parking in the Handicap stall because he feels he's entitled, he works at the Canadian Brewhouse so that makes it acceptable. read more

Service is pretty much always awful, somehow even when its not busy. The only reason it gets 2 stars is because the bartenders are typically nice and recommend good drinks, they just don't serve you very often. Staff in general is very apathetic. The food is painfully average, and takes absolutely forever to get to you. My partner and I came here last year before I gave birth to my second child. The server was friendly to us and our daughter and she always checked on us to see if we needed anything especially when we got our order. Since when is allowing minors good for you? I went to dinner with my wife last Wednesday and the disruption caused by children you have permitted is disgraceful. I thought you were a pub / sports bar, not a babysitting service for lazy parents who let their children ruin a dining experience for other patrons. Even our server hates the kids in the what can only be called a restaurant now, we didn't enjoy our dining experience because of these noisy, disruptive, selfie taking brats. I assure you my wife and I won't return. Children aren't needed there because parents won't go to DQ, Harveys, BP's and so on. We have been loyal customers since this location opened and spent a lot of money here but now our business doesn't seem appreciated when kids ruin the experience. Nice sports bar ! If you go there, you must try the Angus Steak bites. Take these with the kactus fries and it's a complete meal ! When we went last time, it was a thursday; no special event, Oilers weren't playing and the place was packed ! Music was a bit loud, and service a bit slow, but that's not usual. read more

I would rate it perfect but it's not couple friendly, my girlfriend and i wanted dinner and waited 30 mins for someone to take our order and a girl even looked at us and just walked away, we left annoyed. This place is probably the worst place I have ever gone to. The service is terrible. Our server Hayden was rude and was clearly annoyed we had kids with us. She never refilled our drinks even though we asked repeatedly. Our kids free dessert never came and we had to ask the manager to get the bill because our server was nowhere to be found. This is the second time I've come here. The staff can be friendly but we came at 4 in the afternoon on a Monday it was a little busy and the were understaffed. The service was slow but we were it in a hurry so we just sat back and relaxed. First time we were here the food was good and this time it was a big disappointment. The soup was salty the fries were over spiced and I asked the waitress for some vinegar and she never came back. Visited the Brewhouse last Friday night before the Garth Brooks show. We ordered our food and drinks. My friend asked our server (a tall Blonde..Carly??) for a tea....however she replied that they don't have/serve tea....What's up with that Brewhouse?? We also told our server that we wanted to pay when our food came out so there would be no delay in us catching our ride to the concert. Food arrived and tasted great! (The Prime Rib was awesome) Server came by to tell us she'd be back with the bill once 'the machine' was free......... Well we noticed 'the machine' was free but she apparently didn't as she continued to do other things that did not include bringing us our bill.........no worries though as we managed to catch our ride in the knick of time read more

The whole staff (bartenders, waitresses, and bouncers) are some of the friendliest people you can meet.
