However, you can substitute the vegetables with a tossed salad no extra charge or a Caesar salad for an additional charge. I had sesame ginger dressing with my salad, which was good however, a little bit salty. The prime rib was a good size however, it was a little tough in the middle. I don't think I would order this again. We received good service. Our server was efficient and attentive, and even brought us refills of our pop without us having to ask. This restaurant chain has an app that can be downloaded. If you download it, you can get free garlic bread on your first order. You can also earn points on every visit. My fiancé and I wanted to enjoy my birthday nachos and watch the Winnipeg blue bombers game. Asked for a booth, but were offered a half booth. Accepted it because we had a view of the TV's. But then mgmt insisted we move because of another reservation. Promised the TV's would have the game on. The game started, no sound, and they didn't change the TV's. Asked 4 times before they finally changed it from baseball to the bombers. (1/2 way through the first) Halfway through the second, they changed 3 out of 4 TVs to other games. We weren't the only ones watching football. You call yourself a sports bar? No audio and no support for the local team. CBH has been going downhill for years. We usually target Pasta Thursdays and Prime Rib Fridays, and warning beforehand: the prime rib gets sold out very quickly. I'm a fan of their mac and cheese for Thursdays, the size looks small but there's so much cheese and bacon that it easily fills you up, which is very hard to do for a $9.99 dish these days! I've also had some non-specials including their Brewhouse Fresh Philly, Montreal Smoked Meat Sandwich, Brisket Grilled Cheese Sandwich, and the Ice House Burger. We would have loved to try Canadian Brewhouse, unfortunately after an hour of waiting (after be quoted 45 minutes at first, then an hr, then an hr and a half) in the hot sun our table still was not ready (which was fine) but when we asked about how long it was going to be we got told it could still be another hour! This was because the people at our table had been there for 2.5 hrs already (we had two kids so needed the kids only area, who knew). You can't make reservations, so there's nothing we could have done differently, HOWEVER, the Brewhouse could definitely do something different by maybe giving a 2 hr time cap! Standard sports pub with standard pub food on offer. I met my sister and her boyfriend there and I had a pizza and we shared some nachos. The nachos were meh, the pizza was meh. I didn't pay, so I can't really comment on the price. The service was pretty good and the atmosphere is standard for a sports pub. My main problem with this place is the noise level. We went late on Canada Day and we sat on the patio. They had a DJ there and the music was way way way too loud. It was like being at a dance club. If you have a dance floor, I understand overly loud music, but at a sit-and-eat place, loud music is just annoying. Keep the music down and let people talk and enjoy each other's company, which is what they're their for. I'll never understand restaurants that want to be clubs. I travel for work and frequent the two locations in Regina when I'm there for a week at a time. I have had nothing but great experiences there and have eaten there no less than 25 times this year alone Because the Winnipeg location is on the other side of town I did not know it existed until recently. I was excited to share one of my favourite restaurants that I rave about all the time with my girlfriend on a special evening for us. We arrived and were lacklustrely greeted. The hostess seemed more annoyed and bothered that we made her leave her position more than anything. She left us at the table literally saying nothing to us. 5 mins or so later the server came and took our drink order no issues. My girlfriend ordered the Rocky Mountain chicken club (which was delicious ) and I chose the nightly special of ribeye steak and shrimp. I ordered the steak to be medium rare. My preference is medium but restaurants seem to have an issue nailing this desire so I always ask for it a bit undercooked expecting to receive it closer to how I like. Most times it works. When our food arrived I tried to cut into the steak and I noticed it was tough, like really tough. I continued cutting and found it was beyond well done. My girlfriend and I both cut into it in different places and there was no doubt that this steak was closer to broiled more than anything. The taste and texture of it was comparable to over cooked roast beef. When I waitress returned I explained "I don't want be "that" person but I'm sorry, this steak is over cooked way beyond an acceptable level. I would like it recooked" she awkwardly apologized as if she had no clue what to say and took the steak away. She came back within 2 minutes and said that she indeed "punched it in correctly", that it was a kitchen error and they would be making another. I assumed there would be a rush put on it as we had received and by this point had eaten half of the other meal. The waitress returned again and informed us the wait would be 10 mins and with what I feel half hearted apologized. My girlfriend finished her meal and we continued to play the phone game trivia. About 25 mins later my new steak showed up. It was arguably cooked half assed but at least had pink in it this time. It was not enjoyable in the least to be honest. But as my girlfriend had finished eating 1/2 hour prior and we'd been in the restaurant for what felt like 2 hours, and we still had places to be I just "sucked it up" and ate it. When we received the bill , it was business as usual. There was no additional apology, it was get us out the door mentality. At no point did anyone of authority offer an apology nor offer the industry standard of a compensation of any sort. I l've worked in the industry and I know how customers can be. I'm actually a very reasonable customer. Make sure my order is right and my drink is full, and I'm a happy customer. This establishment gave the impression, tough shit eat your steak and get out. I don't expect a discount or comp meal but the fact that management or a supervisor didn't care enough to say or do anything shows what level of customer service this location believes in. The management team needs to pick up the slack. I do not recommend this location at all read more

As a local meeting place for my social group this place has not disappointed the three times we have been there. Great place to watch sports including jets hockey's, blue bomber football or ultimate fighting. They have Soo many flat screen tv's that anyplace in there is a good veiw. Food was good and good value. Favorites include the onion rings and the nachos. Amazing selection of beers on tap also. Service was good and manager attentive. Only negative was that at our first visit the volume for the nhl draft was MUCH too loud. Till 4 requests to get it turned down to where we were not screaming at each other to talk. Canadian brewhouse is a sports bar that is filled with a wide range of age groups. I absolutely love the ambient! I enjoy coming here for their wings night on Wednesdays. I usually am not a fan of boneless wings but somehow I'm in love with the BBQ boneless wings from CB! Aside from great wings that CB serves, the burgers are delicious too! I had their poutine once and would not recommend it. The fries were good but the gravy wasn't... Overall, the food from CB is pretty decent. However, its price range is definitely on the higher end. On the other hand, there are always drinks on special, especially their tankards, which are of great value. If you're looking for a place to have a beer or two with friends, this could be it! However, just don't have too much expectation on the service because the servers are not the most attentive and you will be disappointed. read more

we had the worst food and experience here. we had wanted to visit for a long time and when we did it was awful. the seating is almost entirely high bar seats. the servers were unfriendly, and the food tasted processed. I had the worst steak I've ever had. entirely fat and gristle with no meat at all. the potatoes and gravy was processed and instant. I couldn't believe they would serve it honestly. my husband had the blackened chicken burger which was just average and literally received 8 French fries in a small cup. They played only country music on 10 and we just couldn't wait to leave. we're normally pretty easy going and I hate to post bad reviews but it's been a couple months and we're still talking about how bad it was. The second worst meal at a restaurant I've ever had and I one time had paper in my sandwich at Perkins and I still rate them higher lol unless you're just having drinks and love country music I would avoid this place at all costs. read more

Well once again I have to write a poor review which I hate to do. I knew going in the yelp reviews were bad but was meeting a friend. While the place is beautiful and well located it stops there. Our sever was good but they have the new push button server caller puck. Stupid and will surely make their service lazy and impersonal (excuse to understaff?). The beer was good and the selection good too. We started with Nachos, my Fav, and they were the worst. Bag chips with raw jalapeño and bits of the normal stuff then stuck in a microwave! Microwaved Nachos? Soggy and bitter. The other food we saw was from a bag. We heard the couple beside us call the manager and complain while they were paying. Won a gift card at work and picked this restaurant to try it out as I never have been. Took my kids and my ex for dinner and figured it would be real nice dinner. Called ahead to see if minors were allowed at dinner time. The restaurant was really nice got greeted nicely and decided to sit on patio (first hot day this year Thursday)there was only a picnic table and it was not comfortable so we switched to a table after it opened up. Maybe our waitress was angry about switching because it took over 20 mins for drink order then another 10 to get them. Then finally took our order for dinner. No refills were ever offered. The food was good but it was just horrible time on everything even with kids. Then had to ask for dessert menu. Had to flag down waitress to take that order over 15 mins later. Ordered one dessert and waited over half hour never came finally asked if it was started if not we are going to cancel it and the waitress took 10 mins to tell us it still would be awhile. Canceled dessert. We finally got the bill and was charged for dessert. We left. Over Two hours and no service at all. No refills. Tried 4 times using the alert buttons to request service. Not once did it get responded too. I will use up my gift card and never return as to be honest the service was that bad. They really need to train there waitresses because it was not that busy. On the positive side the bartender was doing great even while getting hit on and harassed by a drunk patron sitting at bar. read more

My girlfriend and I went to this place for the first time and will never ever go back. We were told to seat ourselves, so we did on the patio we waited probably about 15 minutes to receive a menu, and another 15 minutes just to get our drinks we ordered which was water. We sat there and waited for over 20 minutes for service and did not get any. We waited longer, we even pressed the service button to receive service and still did not get any. The server kept walking by and walking by and walking by and never came to take our order. We grabbed our things and we walked right out the door and went to go eat else where. I looked at the rest of the lettuce and there were multiple insects. We told the waitress and she brought us more but the taste was awful so we finished our drinks b's left . I came here for lunch during the week with a coworker. The staff was friendly and welcoming, as soon as we walked in we were greeted with an inviting smile and were told to grab a seat wherever we liked. Our server, Brittanie, answered all of our questions about the menu and informed us on the daily drink and lunch special. I decided on the braised beef grilled cheese with onion rings. It was SO GOOD! The onion rings came with jalapeño ranch which made the onion rings even better than they were already. My husband and I wanted to get the pickles for my birthday. I am 7 months pregnant but normally a very cheery and calm person. I don't care if service is poor I still tip 20% and feel guilty if I don't. Safe to say we left before even sitting down. I had called earlier in the day to make a reservation and they said I didn't need one, when we got there they ignored us at the door for 5 minutes continuously walking by and not saying a word. then a server with a sour look on her face says someone will be with you in a few minutes, a few minutes later another girl asked us if we wanted inside or out so we said inside and she told us to just go sit anywhere that we could find. There was an open table near the back so we proceeded to sit down. The other server or hostess or who ever she was decided to freak out at us for helping ourselves to a table. I told her that another girl told us to sit down and she asked who. So I said she had a red skirt and long dark hair. She laughed at me and said they all wore red skirts. I wanted to punch her. She told us we would have to wait at the front for 15 minutes after seating the two guys behind us. My husband walked me out of there immediately before I could tear her a new one.
