3.5/5 I've been here…read moretwice and have had one subpar experience and one excellent experience. Average it out and I give it 3.5/5. The first time I came here service was poor. It took almost 30 minutes for my friend and I to be served at the bar. The first time I was here I had the roundhouse mac n cheese. It was good though nothing special, but the poor service definitely cancelled out what was decent food. The second time I came here on a work dinner, where we somehow stuffed almost 20 people on a long table. Service was a lot better, though maybe it was because I was with a large group. I went during poutine week, so I had the Taco Mac n Cheese Poutine. The mac n cheese was actually mac n cheese bites, which was ehh...but I liked the concept! Cheese curds are good, size was generous, and the nacho beef was cooked well and juicy. So to cancel both visits out, I'll leave is as 3.5/5 for now. If I get good service next visit I'll be happy to bump this up to a 4.

Sticky toffee pudding - good bite but it was cold. Maybe because it was to go but I would have liked it ready to eat since no micro in hotel. The restaurant is slightly upscale, with a wealth of food options at somewhat higher than average prices. I was torn between a few items, but I settled with a starter french onion soup and an entree of chicken tenders and fries. I've had lots of french onion soups in my life. This one was quite good; the gruyere cheese was plentiful and was gooey, which is how it should be. The chicken tenders were crispy with plenty of batter. The honey dill sauce is on the creamy side, which I didn't like as much but I can imagine others preferring the creaminess of the sauce. It won't be a place that'll be on my regular visit rotation due to location and price, but I'd definitely have this in my list of suggestions for a special occasion.

I had in the neighborhood. One time I sat at a table; one time I sat at the bar and a third time I saw it in a booth. On each occasion, I waited between 15 and 20 minutes for somebody to even come to the table. On two of the occasions, the food came before I had a set up at the table, and the server disappeared, leaving me with no cutlery and a meal rapidly getting colder. The first time this happened I contacted the restaurant management and said that rather than leave a bad review, I would like to speak to him about it. It obviously didn't help because the next three visits were just as disastrous.

It was good, but for $21 I was left expecting a bit more. It didn't feel that much better than smash burgers from other local sports bars in the city. Their indo-met salad was certainly a unique salad, and something I wouldn't mind trying again. Their beer is probably better than the food IMO. Steel Cut Blonde had that nice honey touch if you like that, while Tepache Gold is amazing if you like pineapple. Highly recommend both. Service was good for us here. I probably won't go crazy in returning here unless it's for drinks.

Never refilled our drinks and then when we paid with cash she said she'd be back with our change but didn't come back until we called her over to which she said she completely forgot which I don't understand because she looked at us multiple times. Every other time we've been it's been amazing so this was really sad considering we love this place. Will consider who's on shift next time we come because it was really unacceptable especially during an important week like this where SO many new customers are coming in. Portions are generous, and the sides are just as good as the main dishes. The restaurant was clean and comfortable, and service was quick even during a busy time. Not sure if they've stepped things up recently or if I just came on a good day, but I left completely satisfied. Based on my visit, Famous Dave's absolutely deserves 5 stars. The food served at this location, in my opinion, is just as good as the locations in the U.S., if not slightly better.

The avocado spread was also one of my favorite part of this sandwich, it was layered on thick with actual chunks of Avocado. I highly recommend it if you love seafood like me.

Fortunately, while Grizzly Goose has modernized the restaurant to attract a younger crowd, they did keep many of Bellamy's staples, the chicken fingers being one of them. The chicken fingers recipe was largely unchanged from when it was Bellamy's, so quality is consistent. Their soups, however, I found to be very salty. I've had their lemon chicken rice soup and their potato bacon soup, and in both instances I found their salt content to be very high, and I'm usually someone who can tolerate high salt in foods. It might be better to stick to their salads (Bellamy's had a greek salad that this place carried over; didn't try it though). Service was good here. Unfortunately it's likely not a place I'd add to my regulars list, but if I feel like chicken fingers I'd certainly still consider here.
