The match to our oak is PERFECT. Then his crew sanded and re-surfaced entire large bedroom and adjacent long hall. Resulting color and oak plank appearance is exact match for similarly R&R'd master bedroom oak floor. His crew took good care to protect hvac ducts from floor sanding dust. Regardless, the lack of professionalism and basic communication was unacceptable. I can't speak to their quality of work because they never showed up, but based on this experience, I would not recommend them.

The refinisher I had hired to do my floors didn't work out, so I contacted him and he came right out to give me an estimate. They started work pretty quick, and were done in a shorter amount of time than the initial contractor had said. They did a great job! My floors are 18 years old and they now look new! The whole ordeal with Carpet Land on Electric Road in Roanoke VA was a mess!! The subcontractors…read morethat lay the carpet had attitude, spoke very little English, made me feel uncomfortable in my own home and cussed. My husband came home early to be here with me. The contractors ripped the step carpet out AFTER they laid the padding and made a huge mess on new padding. They cut a hole in my padding for a "hump" area and when I said something the contractor told me maybe I should get another contractor. I let the manager, Blane, know of what had been done and he called contractor while working at my house and contractor was loud and unprofessional. (I have voice video of this as well) There was not enough carpet that I paid for after contractor had started laying it, so then manager told me they only had a darker color in stock of same grade. (I had movers coming that weekend so had to take what I could get at this point otherwise it would be the following week for carpet) When I discussed the seams the contractor said I would see with the salesman Ron, Ron told me if I didn't want to see seams I should have spent more money. Ron suggested he should just give me a refund and I can go somewhere else, knowing I had movers that weekend! and 3k is what I spent so carpet was not cheap) Nothing less than a jerkface. Contractor asked my husband to do a final walkthrough and left my home before asking my husband if it was satisfactory. Carpet Land is a joke. Never again, and I will be going to the BBB as well. This required the new wood to be intermixed with the old hardwood and then the entire floor refinished. The fingering in of the new wood with the old wood was done perfectly and cannot be distinguished from the original wood. The sanding of all the flooring was accomplished very quickly and expertly with a minimum of dust to contend with. A medium polyurethane finish was used and it looks absolutely beautiful! We are back in our house within four days from start to finish and we could not be more pleased with the results!

They were highly recommended to us and we have used them for carpeting, vinyl flooring and tile work since fall of 2011. They installed two sheet vinyl floors for us, one vinyl tile entryway and two rooms of wall-to-wall carpet and they are in the process of tiling our fireplace surround. The quality of their work is outstanding. They are meticulous, they leave the site clean and they are happy to help with moving furniture to facilitate the process. We have particularly appreciated their willingness to work within our budget, offering knowledgeable suggestions but no pressure.
