4 stars??? I have never made a purchase like this before. I visited The Carpet Store because I was buying carpet for a Townhouse I had under contract. I wanted the carpet installed immediately after I closed . I went to The Carpet Store to pick out and purchase carpet. I went early on a Saturday morning. This place is a warehouse not really a "store". Several people were available to help fairly quickly. One to take the plans I brought in and attempt to measure, the other to help us select carpet. I did not know what I was getting myself into because I had no idea there were so many options and the entire process was confusing. From which brand, which material, which padding and the most difficult decision, which color... I was not prepared but I knew I was making a decision that day. Two hours later, I knew a bit more about carpet and padding and stain resistance, etc. We put down a $1000 deposit so they would make an appointment to measure which was scheduled the next week, once they measured, the carpet was ordered and took about a week and half to come in. Long story short, we did not close on the Townhouse and were refunded $750 of the $1000 deposit that was for approximately $3000 worth of carpet. We have about 6 months to use the $250 credit. I am giving 4 stars because this was a difficult process and I have nothing to compare to. The Carpet Store did a pretty good job helping us through it he process. I think! read more

Would've, could've and should've been a five star rating if not for the time and energy I wasted in getting my tile order done proper. My tile was to be installed in less than a week, all the while I'm made to assume that my tile is waiting to be picked up. I get a call from the carpet store telling me later that my tile is not available. This is the last thing you want to hear when time is of the essence. Perhaps it was due to the crisis that the tile didn't make it in time. Who knows! I was told I'd hear back with an alternative that closely resembled the original, never heard back. I'll give them a 3 star rating for the initial service I got from them, but this was a big time waster for me. read more

We replaced all the flooring in our 1960s home so the flooring was consistent throughout. We were debating between tile and LVP. Rafael was extremely helpful and took the time to answer all my questions to hep make our final decision - LVP. We went through several types and samples and 2 years later we couldn't be happier!!! I went because of some of the reviews and seriously wasn't disappointed for the price and the timeliness. My boyfriend and I had a GREAT experience with this place. We needed to get our carpet replaced bc it was old, disgusting and we will renting our condo out soon. We originally went to Home Depot but it was so expensive and difficult to get info/help/assistance so we wanted to check other options. We found The Carpet Store on yelp and it had great reviews so we decided to check it out. The very first visit we were greeted by Rafael and he was SO helpful. He gave us so many options, so much info bc we didn't know which kind of carpet to get, etc., and he walked us through the process, costs, everything. He knows his carpet! We walked out of there with everything set up and ready to go! So simple, so fast! With Home Depot we had to go back so many times, always got different answers, it was like pulling teeth. Rafael came and measured our place 2 days after the first visit, put in our carpet order, and a week and a half later, our carpet was installed in one day. My wife and I needed some new carpet for our new townhome and we initially went to Home Depot to have them measure and quote us out some mid-grade carpet. We received the quote and decided to get another quote from The Carpet Store based on Yelp reviews. We went in and were met by Clara. We showed her the carpet that we quoted out at Home Depot, and she showed us a much better carpet (plus better padding) that was a similar color for the same price as what Home Depot wanted. We decided that we would be getting more bang for our buck with the Carpet Store so we went with them for the carpet installation. They had to order the carpet, but it took less than a week to get to their warehouse, and they scheduled the install for the Friday after we ordered. The carpet installers were at my home on time. They told me it would take 4-5 hours for the installation, and I got a call at the 4.5 hour mark telling me it was done. The installers did a beautiful job on the installation and both my wife and I love it. I couldn't have asked for a better experience. read more

Walked in here last weekend and was introduced to the GM, Ethan. Told him what I wanted and he showed me some options. He then took me to the remnants section and my mother found the perfect piece of carpet for my daughters bedroom. Had them come and install that and new baseboards just 3 days later. 3 guys show up and installed it all beautifully as well as making sure they cleaned up entirely when done. Don't judge a book by it's cover! The storefront is underwhelming, but our experience from start to finish inside was perfect. Everyone was warm and hospitable. This place is without a doubt the worst place to do business with I have encountered in my 43 years of life. Bought carpet from them, then some installers who barely spoke English started whining because they had to move furniture which I paid extra for them to do. Then they decided my carpet was to dirty for them to take up (which I paid extra for). They refused to install it I canceled my order and 5 days later still no refund. I don't even know where to begin the sales people at the carpet store are not the issue my guy did a pretty good job the problem is The contractors who they use. When they went to rip out my tile they left my slab a disaster there were holes everywhere! They tried to tell me my concrete was soft and I needed a floating floor I paused The job to get a second opinion I had four experts come out and tell me there was nothing wrong with the slab!!!! At the end of the day their installer did not want to put in the effort or work to put tile down in my house I didn't buy anything from them do not have their installers do the job because they are unexperienced and do not know what they are talking about... as of right now there is tile being placed in my home with no problem!!!!! I called the manager and told him everything of how they butchered my slab with the holes. In my concrete was not soft.... he did nothing about it he didn't even come and look at it himself he was 100% behind the installers opinion no one came to my house outside of the installer I DID NOT get my money back for them doing a crappy job ripping out my tile. I had to hire another crew to pick up their mess that they left which was another 2 thousand dollars!!! Be cautious with these people!!!!!! read more

Wow, great experience. I worked with Edwin who after a simple phone call sent someone out to measure the area I wanted re-carpeted. There was NO high pressure salesmanship. He simply sent me an e-mail with the variety of carpet grades, padding grades the the cost of each with installation. I went down to the store and was met by the very friendly staff. Edwin showed me the levels of carpeting grade and colors which I selected. Very easy. He set a convenient installation date. Promptly at 9 am on the installation date, two workers showed up ready to work. They did a fabulous job, very few seams in the carpet. It looked wonderful and they were exceptionally professional. They cleaned up as they went along and swept as they went out the door. No mess, no need to clean up after them at all. I was impressed with the great service and great prices. read more
