The Carriage House is a marvelous addition that is situated behind Schneider

Brian R.

One of the coolest places around when it comes to random little gifts and yard art and pots. The people who own the shop are super friendly and very into their business. Fair prices that feature local art and fair trade handcrafted items from around the world. Definitely recommend stopping in and checking this place out.

The Carriage House is a great place. A nice variety of quality goods, and Pat and Jeff are the nicest people you'd ever want to meet.

If you're ever in need of a one of kind gift or just looking for some interesting nick knacks then…read moreyou have to stop by Found Studio. This little boutique carries some of the cutest items. Kitschy home decor for every season and holiday, fun cocktail items to stock your home bar, soaps, lotions, and candles from local vendors, eclectic cards to perfectly address every occasion, and many more items. Found Studio screams Baltimore wrapped up in a pretty turquoise building. They offer a decent value for some of these rare items sold here only in Baltimore. And all of the women running the shop are always so pleasant every time I stop in. I tend to make Found Studio my first stop whenever I'm in need of the perfect birthday gift for a friend. You could literally roam around this store finding different goodies at every turn. Pro tip, follow them on IG so you can keep an eye out when they have random sales.

The space in Hartford Road has been open for a year, but I just found it! There is a mushroom curated wall, and I lost my mind. I often feel like the boutique's here all sell the same things but Found Studio Shop is unique and you can tell BELOVED in the Hamilton community. Annie Howe, the paper cut artist also has a permanent residency here. The price point is from mid to high as it's an excellently curated store with higher end items. If you need to do any shopping, I would come here. It's a perfect place for gifts and cards. So so glad this place exists!

Was excited to visit this store and was hoping it would be a frequent stop/destination moving…read moreforward; unfortunately, I can't imagine I'll be back unless I specifically need one of the ~8 items they sell. From the second I crossed the threshold, an employee was 5 inches from my face offering me a tour (you can see what they sell clearly from the doorway and it is one open space), and then she never left my side. She literally picked up and read greeting cards to me that I had shown zero interest in and without me indicating I wanted a card. She pointed to every single item and told me what it was as if I might have never seen a t-shirt before. No matter where I moved, she followed as if connected to a magnet, and she talked so much I'm not sure how she managed to also breathe. When my husband came in a short while later, I tried to communicate with my eyes that he needed to leave, but another person was 5 inches from him before he understood. She followed the exact same approach and script my leech, I mean salesperson, followed. We'd catch each other's eye and laugh and try to move away from our captors, but they were oblivious and stuck to us like glue. I guess their approach works as we each bought an item just to be able to move and to put a sales desk between us and the people breathing down our backs. Also, the selection is comically bad and limited. The store logo and name is on almost every single item they sell even if a logo makes no sense on it; and the logo is not all that unique or attractive - it is extremely literal. Do you need an entire wardrobe of solid, Crayola-crayon rainbow colored pieces with the store logo on it? They have 30+ identical clothing items in the same 8 garish colors with the store logo HUGE on it at least once. It is like being in a warehouse for kids' sports league uniforms. Maybe your LGBTQ family needs to all match at Disney? If you don't need clothes, you could also get "homemade" cards that look like the creator just learned basic photoshop using free stock photos, has a few favorite fonts and access to AI for weird text. If none of those things interest you, there are overpriced, poor quality socks and identical journals in every color of the rainbow with the store logo on them. Also, randomly, there are shot glasses, with the store logo on them. There are a few rainbow pet toys too and pride parade accessories. Needless to say, I will not be back.

Then they reopened on weekends only, confounding the usual week walker--until now! Yeht is opening during the week. That, along with an atypical blackboard sign, lured me in. The owner, a very nice young woman filled me in on the details: basically, colorful and quality home, tea and sundry item (artsy couch/bed pillows, anyone?) sourced and fair-traded from other countries and cultures. Every item has a cultural of family ritual related to it, further informing your purchases. Besides some silky vegan dark chocolate, one of which infused with champagne, I left with a see-through tin with wooden measuring spoon of some antioxidant-rich, low caffeine purple tea they were sampling. Definitely worth the stop to help out a new small business. I'll be bawk, baby!

She told us all about who made the various items and how they were made. The store has a lot to offer! We walked away with quite a few candles and a bundle of incense, but there were wonderful looking handbags and clothing on display as well. Overall, the shop and owner were very charming! I highly recommend visiting during Saturday or Sunday, when the shop is open to walk-ins, and speaking with Jacquelyn to get the full experience!
