Stumbled upon The Casino after a recommendation was given by the bartender at Warfield. Thinking it was an actual casino, I was hesitant to go in before realizing it was a bar. However, I am so glad I did. There was a great mix of younger/older folks and the ambiance was super fun. Not to mention, the bartender Gorbs provided amazing service paired with an incredible personality. I am excited for the day I return to this location. read more

We rolled in here with a group of four on a super busy night and were STILL greeted with a friendly face and super helpful bartender. Also, at least the bathroom is clearly meant for more than one person. What's with one toilet/one urinal establishments without locks on the door in this town?! My husband and I had tried to play pool at another local bar, but we were battling kids running around and even toddlers grabbing the pool stick, so we sought out a kid-free environment for a game and this was the spot. THE DRINKS: Pretty standard, but truly what are you expecting? It's a fun cozy dive bar, get over yourself fancy pants. THE ENVIRONMENT: Not quite sure if some pull tabs and a few one armed bandits makes a true casino, but I'm totally okay with it. There are 3 pool tables, lots of darts and a fooz ball table. Super fun place to hang and there are NO KIDS... not easy to find in Sun Valley. Don't get me wrong kids are cool, but sometimes a break is necessary... SERVICE: The bartender rocks... you know the people that ignore eye contact when they're busy mixing up a drink? No longer the last bastion of smokers, you can now see from the front to the back of the place if it's not jammed with people! The bartenders are fair, the prices are honest, and everyone ends up there toward the end of the night. Cash only! Three pool tables, few arcade games, and three tv's. Smokers are allowed to go in and out but can't take their drinks out the door (and there is a robust staff to make sure). Cover charge only if there is a band, which is very rare (about 2x a year). I can't call myself a local and I have learned the legacy of the Casino over twenty years. The new proprietors Rick and Patty have preserved and honored that legacy memorializing the barfly's and bartenders that have passed and reinforcing the community and village that shelter in the Casino. The bartenders and regulars are like an informal family This is a real ski community bar, holidays excepted. A local experience. this place is totally rad, good juke box, and recently smoke free, super strong cheap drinks, and some of the best bartenders in town. this is where the locals come year round to relax after finishing there work at other bars and hangs, especially if you roll in on a Monday night. read more
