Classic pub food that doesn't break the bank. Even on coldest days Lefty's is always warm and welcoming. Definitely a favorite with the locals. Recommend the Lefty's Leftorium IPA brewed in town. The burgers or Reuben are great moves. read more

I read the reviews about this place and they're true. Over an hour wait for a burger and fries. This one was on me because I read about that but still stopped by because for some reason, no food in Sun Valley stays open past 10:30pm in the summer, but you can drink past midnight. What sense does that make? Anyway, Lefty's also posted signs about the long wait. I could see in the kitchen and I've never seen this before, but I've only lived in or around major cities, the bar's kitchen only had one cook doing everything and there was only space for one person in that kitchen. If you have options go somewhere else. If you just want drinks it'll be fine. read more

The service was awesome. You order at the counter and can taste the beer special. The food is quite good. I got the cheese sticks and onion rings they were both good. However when I got there I asked for ice cream and they were out. The lady at the counter recommended a different shop for the ice cream. The patio is dog friendly. read more

Took over an hour to get our food order. Charged us a takeout fee and we still tipped. Apparently our fry order wasn't made. Then come to find out the guy using the fryer was on the phone for 20 mins, then it came out about 30 minutes after that. Clearly didn't give a sh*t about the order. Our kids didn't get to eat their food because of how long the order took. They messed up 2/4 burgers and the fries were cold by the time we started eating. Way to ruin our night. read more

We came here for lunch on Saint Patrick's Day. It was incredibly busy, which was to be expected, as it is a bar-oriented restaurant. We ordered fish and chips, calamari, and mozzarella sticks. We waited a very long time for our food, which wasn't great, but I'm going to give them the benefit of the doubt considering how busy it was and the fact that it was St. Patty's Day. The fish and chips were amazing, the calamari was great, but the mozzarella sticks weren't great... I've had much better. Everything else made up for it, though. They have a large alcohol selection as well. The service was great. You order at the counter, so you wait in line if it's busy. The people taking your order at the counter were very nice and personable. The lady who ran the food (by screaming your name to find your table) was kinda funny, and very loud (for obvious reasons). The system is unique, but it works. If it's busy, though, be prepared to wait. This would be a really fun place to come and drink and watch a football game. The ambiance is really cute, very retro and rustic. The building is small and old, but there are tables outside with string lights around them. It's just a fun environment that is a nice change from all of the upscale restaurants surrounding it in Sun Valley. I wouldn't say it's great for kids, though. We'd definitely come back! read more

Super cute local bar. We were looking for a local spot to grab a drink, and are so glad we stumbled upon Lefty's. Loved the divey atmosphere. It was clean, and staff was great. I loved the walk up ordering system. Seat yourself and grab a bite. The food was great too. Seems like mostly street parking if you are driving. I struggle to understand all the 4 and 5 star ratings. This place was very underwhelming. Stopped by for lunch in late September for burgers, chicken tenders and salad. The chicken tenders were fried to a crisp. More breading than chicken and fairly certain it came straight out of a box in the freezer. Service was good. Order at the counter. A dive, for sure. I would not return though. There are much better options. At least they cheer on the Georgia Bulldogs. That gets them up to 2 stars. read more

Don't waste your time. We walked in about 7 pm Thursday night. We sat at a table in the front room of the place. We sat there for about 5 minutes and never had anyone come even say hello. The place was about 1/2 full but definitely not crowded. After 8 minutes we decided to head into the main room thinking that they did not know we were there. Plenty of people/staff saw us sit down and still no one helped us or asked if we wanted to order or a drink? Nothing. The 3 behind the bar chatted with customers but ignored us completely. Pretty dang good. We had to eat outside and the music was way to loud. That might be one complaint. I liked the French bread as the bun. Very clever and it tasted good with the burger. I really wanted elk but it sold out. I got the burger and I liked it. I liked their monkey fries. Better then their regular fries. I like they give you refills on your drinks. They say that Lefty's makes the best burgers in town, and I can see why! There are a few to pick from, but I go for the half-pound Lefty's with cheese every time. Lefty's is usually packed, but it's a local's favorite, so most of the folks you'll find here know the place well. It's a great place to have a beer, shoot pool & watch the game. The back deck has a great view over the valley. The only downside for a dark beer fan like myself is that there really aren't more than one or two to select from, but if IPAs are your preference, you'll find those in spades. I recommend getting a Basket of Monkey's with your burger - these site-made chips pack the perfect amount of bite. There's plenty of curb-side parking, and usually a table open, except on holiday weekends. Definitely the place I choose to go for an apres-ski repast! read more

My son got a burger from the kids meal (1/4 lb burger!) and he said " I could eat three more". It is hard to find such a sport bar with live music, simple yummy finger food, tons of beer with low price anywhere nowadays. A rarity in a resort town - Ketchum / Sun Valley. I got a light draft beer, sat on the patio directly next to the live music performers. Food were delivered to my table, tasty fired chicken wings and a basket calamari. All customers were enjoying the time, waiters could call my name ( the alias I gave) which impressed me. Starbucks at my office in Washington had hard time for the same task - remember my name- no matter how many times I visited them.
