Absolutely terrible. We had our eyes set on a cat at PetSmart, we fell in love. We called the number and were told "absolutely not" because we have a Husky...who has been RAISED with cats. We have 3 cats who have been raised from kittens, all adopted, who all LOVE our husky. Such a CLOSED MINDED organization. We were willing to go through the whole process including the home visit so they could see our other animals, our amazing cat climbing wall that my husband built, everything, but they wouldn't even CONSIDER us because we have a husky. I want to start off by saying that if I would've read the reviews of other customers and their own volunteers that have been posted I would've never came here. If there one reason not to come here let it be this review. For Starter when I first found the cat network as a non-profit I thought how nice finally an organization for community cats and their owners/rescuers. I couldn't be more wrong they seem to care very little about anyone to be honest. I first PM them on Instagram where I'm given a very bland response. I tried to follow their in instructions and it simply wouldn't work. After leaving me on seen multiple times and me calling out their behavior they finally responded. Between waiting for these messages I emailed them the day prior since they said that was the fastest form of communication, I have yet to receive a response. I called multiple numbers on their website and they are simply unreachable. Once I finally receive a response they don't correlate at all. I'm quoted both $75 and $95 for nearly the same service. But despite all this I decide to book since I believe in their mission and was also low income so I was trying to be responsible and neuter my cat while being able to afford it. I arrive at 7:25am and check Ined, everything was going smoothly. I will say for people who volunteer to take care of cats they are less then customer service like and provide low amusement towards the animals. I was informed that he would be ready around 2:30-3:00 and made sure I was available all day to pick him up. Somehow while filling out the paperwork my number got messed up and I take fault for that but the way I was treated after that isn't justified by a wrong telephone number. Around 4:00 pm I get suspicious that they haven't texted me, I started looking for a reachable number but like many other reviews say communication is below par. When I finally got in contact with them it was 4:10, I was reaching out afraid that something had gone wrong in surgery and again was met with animosity. I informed them that number was incorrect and I never had knowledge he was ready. They made no other attempt to reach out to me although our prior communications. They informed me that there would be a $25 late fee which I was going to pay unwillingly since there had just seem to be a mixed up but I understood. I arrived at TCN at 4:40pm. When they bring out my cat the first thing that hits me is CAT PISS smell, just pungent. At that time she informs me that it's now $50 late fee instead of the $25. At this point I asked her what the late fee is for and what additional care they had to administer during this time since it was evident he had just been sitting in he own pee for hours and not just a little pee, a blanket soaked with pee. Online their hours are from 9:00am to 5:00pm, I arrived before closing so again I didn't understand the late fee since they didn't have to stay any additional time, she stated the closing time is to the doctors discretion and just pointed to the contract where it said their would be a late fee. At this point I point out all my frustrations with the company and let her know I've had a below par experience but still offer to pay $25. Her response was "Your bad experience doesn't justify you being late, I'll let my manager know", she ended up getting very frustrated that I pointed out the flaws in this "organization" and told me to just take my cat. People have mentioned that they feel like there's something weird with money going on and I agree. (Also not to mention I left a $10 donation as a token of gratitude which now seems misplaced) read more

Heard about the Miami Meow Mobile through a co-worker. We adopted a stray cat a month ago and needed to get her spayed and being that our vet's rate was $245.00, we chose to bring her to this event. At half the price which included her second dose of vaccinations & a microchip, Appointment is not needed, however, be there before 8 am on the event day as there are people with not one but up to 4 cats per person waiting. If you have community cats you can trap them and take them to the meow mobile which will help the over population of stray and feral cats. They will either tattoo or clip the ear of the stray / feral cats so that if ever picked up they would know that cat has been spayed or neutered. Since ours is a pet they don't do that but make sure you write on the cat intake form and tell them when they check you in. I will update my review once I pick up my Nala this afternoon. Drop off is 8:00 and and they will advise you of the pick up time to which is usually between 3:30 and 4:00 pm. Keep in mind that they are able to provide this low cost service thanks to donations to the cat network. This is a fantastic organization and what it does helps the community at large, its goal is to humanly address feline over population humanly threw TNR and threw education. It is not for people who want community cats removed. Community cats are stray/feral cats that live outdoors. What this organization does will help you control your community cat population by offering spay and neuter days, free or low coast clinics, adoption events for the tame animals (Having strict rules to ensure the animals health) the goal of these events are to fix and vaccinate community cats so that they do not become a nuisance. This is called TNR Trap Neuter Release. Obviously people who simply do not care about community cats ( which is a problem largely due to human negligence) and view felines as unwanted will hate this fantastic organization. Because the goals are contradictory. In Miami we have an all year breeding season for cats. A single female cats can have 2-3 litters a year and after 6 month her kittens can start reproducing. How do I know this because one day I work up and their was a scrawny feral kitty cat in my yard with her 3 adorable kittens. I am a cat lover I have two rescued indoor cats so I feed them. Apparently Miami is full fantastic people who will feed community cats but lack the resources or knowledge to fix them, the Cat Network works with the community to help with this. Being that I am an art teacher with limited financial resources I Google-ed. I found the cat network and the Mobile meow clinic. (The Vet has stations all over Miami on different days, lucky me one was close to my house!) The mother cat ran off and I had 3 kittens so I kept feeding them, due to work I assumed I would fix them when I could catch them. This worked great for the 2 male kittens which I fixed on the first spay day my work would would allow me to, the vet told me they were probably 6 months. The lil female I couldn't catch, but I wasn't worried about bc she wouldn't be an adult till she was at least a year right? WRONG she became a pregnant teenager. 3 more kittens Now by this time I had found a home for 1 of the male kittens and the other male cat established my backyard as his territory. (He briefly had an indoor home but he is marker and he peed everywhere) I also managed to tame the teenage Mother (Foxy) so her 3 kittens were extremely well fed and well socialized, The cat network not only helped with finical cost of fixing and vaccinating these cats, (I also very cheaply micro-chipped the male & Foxy via the Mobile Meow) they put me in contact w the Human Society a no kill shelter for the kittens http://www.humanesocietymiami.org/. My 2 our door community cats are fantastic. I provide medical (very cheep medical bc the catnetwork has grants to keep cost down its a few dollars every year to keep them vaccinated) and food and they ride my yard of snakes and rats. You know how I know this? Because these cats love to give back, they eat half and leave half for me at my back door. Yummy. Now I also know to fix a feline as soon as it wonders threw my yard because no more kittens. If its not tame I can call the cat network and they will lend me trap, I book an appointment on the Mobile meow, the cat is vaccinated, fixed, and ear tipped (which signals that is has been sterilized and is no longer a nuisance animal.) If I cant catch a cat I can call the Cat Network and a volunteer will come and help or they will give me tips. Many times the random community cats I fix wounder in and out of my yard but the best part is I can see an improvement in their health so I know my cats will stay healthy, no babies, no cat fights, and less rodents. What a convenient and inexpensive way to spay/neuter a cat. The mobile unit moves to different locations and when I used it it was five blocks away. Lory and her team are wonderful, very professional and I dropped a male kitten off at 9: am and picked him up at noon. Besides the neuter, they did the shots, inserted a chip and deworm medicine to be given at home(If I can catch him ) HIGHLY recommend the mobile unit and the cat network is a wonderful organization. read more

We've been having problems with people feeding feral cats that are breeding in our neighborhood. I contacted TCN to see if there was anything they could do to help and they were less than helpful. Their volunteers turned out to be the culprits dumping cat food, shellfish remains, fish bones, tins of cat food, cardboard boxes, plastic containers and chicken bones on our lawn, our neighbor's lawn and the sidewalks in front of our houses. They were dishonest and sent mixed messages about whether or not they discouraged feeding of feral cats, claimed to have access to DMV databases for license plates (creepy) and said they'd 'talk to them' but nothing ever happened except more stinky nasty fish parts got dumped in front of our house and their volunteers lectured us on how they weren't doing anything illegal. Just because they're not doing anything illegal doesn't mean they aren't doing anything wrong. I would (and did) adopt from another rescue. read more

These women (and men) work tirelessly - mostly at their own expense - to find forever homes for loving cats and kittens, as well as the occasional dog. What a wonderful service these folks are providing! I brought my pet cat to be spayed, vaccinated and microchipped at the Meow Mobile right before thanksgiving. They visit different neighborhoods so I was able to go to a location convenient to my house. Check in was pretty quick (all cats are checked in at the same time in the morning) and my kitty was all done by around 2:00 that day. They did a wonderful job with her surgery and all services were a very reasonable price. Additionally, after the surgery, I have been able to keep in touch with the staff via email to answer any follow up questions I had. I am very pleased to have had this resource available when needed most. I love especially the meow mobile OR for spaying and neutering procedures- the efficiency of that service and the professional and caring staff made for an excellent outcome with my five kittens. Super fast, clean, and inexpensive. I have used the cat network for multiple resources via their user-friendly website. They run mainly on their dedicated volunteers and they probably need more (emails & calls can take several days to be answered, but nonetheless, they do get back with you). The website and corresponding links for reduced cost of spaying community cats are great and will assist with putting you in touch with adoption facilities. This organization does very little for the community. Yes, there's a few of them that do this out of the goodness of their heart and pocket. But for the most part, they are a bunch of snobby, rich ladies, who are nasty and mean. That cat mobile needs to go, you can get the same services for free from Dade County Animal Control. Agneta is nice lady and you can usually find her cats, kittens for adoption at the store on 122 ave and 88 st(n. Kendall dr.). You do not need them, and please do not give them your money. read more

beware of Mary Thingelstad. She offered me the cat network deal to my nine foster kittens which i found in a paper bag abandoned. all was ok at first but i found out later when close to adoption time that she had lied alot about how the cat network does things. it was my fault for having her as my only contact because now she had lied to the cat network president saying i was difficult and wanted to keep them all and subsequently because of all the half truths she told, she stopped calling me back and none of the cats are eligable for this deal. i have three left and am handling it myself. i kept her emails where she lied and i will tell anyone who wasnt to hear what she did. i can only type 400 characters here but feel free to email me for the extended story (katrina1977us@yahoo.com) let me be clear that this is not "the Cat Networks" fault but the fault of ONE person who works for the organization. its sad that her ego, half truths, and scatterbrained ways not only affected my situation but she probably hinders the cat network without them even knowing it. they do good work but could do more without someone mucking things up.
