Was in Delta Junction in October and stopped by the Cave twice. The service was terrible both times. The first time the waitress forgot my order and when it came out my order of the Halibut fish and chips were less than half the size of the two other people in my party who also ordered the fish and chips. When I pointed this out the waitress brought out another piece the size of a single chicken nugget. Then we waited 45 minutes to get our checks after eating. Then waited another 45 minutes for her to pick up our checks to cash us out. She only did this after we went to the manager twice and threatened to leave without paying. The second time was better in that the waitress (a different woman this time) still brought my order 20 minutes after everyone else but did get our checks out in a reasonable time. The only reason for two stars instead of one is that the food itself was good. read more

Delicious dinner. This place was great! My friend and I both loved our dinners. I had the sautéed shrimp with garlic mashed potatoes and asparagus- my friend had the rib steak, fries, salad and asparagus. Decent prices and portions. I dined here while on a work trip at Ft. Greely. Of all the places I ate while there, this place was definitely my favorite! The food was tasty, and the staff were very friendly and welcoming! The service was a little on the slow side, but it was a nice (warm) place to hang out, and I had nowhere else to go, so I really can't complain! read more

Great atmosphere! They had me in right before closing and even after closing were making food for those people who showed up late.

The food is okay, I wouldn't say it's the best in town. Their onion rings and french fries are very fried and looks like they have too much batter on them which makes it greesy same with the mozzarella cheese sticks. read more

Surprisingly delicious. Being from a metropolitan area with a higher population than the entire state I can't say I expected to find great food in Delta Junction. We stopped in for dinner one night and brunch on Sunday. The halibut fish and chips was delicious. The chicken fried steak was really good. Probably the best sausage gravy I've had. Recently spent some time in Delta Junction and The Cave was our go-to place to eat a big dinner with a beer. I ordered a number of different menu items, starting with the salad. Fresh greens and tomatoes with a raspberry vinaigrette; phenomenal. For the entree I ordered Fish and Chips every time, and as a New Englander I can say this in the top 3 of the best I've ever had. The bar and wait staff were very accommodating to our larger than normal group. They had great drink recommendations and very fair drink prices. The entrees were a little on the upper middle side of the price range, but given the portions and the quality I had no regrets. Highly recommend this place for a warm atmosphere, good drinks, great food, and excellent hospitality. read more

Foods was just okay. Had chicken tenders, could have used a little seasoning. Baked potato was just a baked potato. It did satisfy the need for hot food but nothing more. Service was adequate. read more

A nice surprise in Delta Junction. I had the Steak Gorgonzola Pasta with an Alaskan Amber. My love had the Fish and Chips and a Cab. Ample portions and served hot. The prices are reasonable too. I'll be back. read more

Stopped at Delta Junction for the night. Almost wrote off this place because of the exterior. Don't let it fool you. The inside was nice and the food was good. I had the fish and chips and was definitely a fan!! I was solo so I sat at the bar. Staff was super friendly and service was good. I would go back here and try other things on the menu! read more

We are locals and have frequented the Cave many times, most recently they hosted our wedding dinner (reception). As is the case with most establishments every meal isn't perfection however the Cave does an excellent job in terms of food quality as well as service. After sitting down with Tim to discuss what we were looking for in terms of our dinner he had a quote for us within 3 days. Leading up to the event he kept us informed of any changes or ideas he had as well as responding to any of our last minute requests. We chose to have a prime rib and chicken buffet with a multitude of desserts. The meal was superb as was the service. The chef cooked a prime rib with a wonderfully seasoned crust and the sides complimented the meal perfectly and we can't say enough about the wait staff. They worked their butts off to keep everyone's drinks full and their plates clear, and a special shout out to Shawna and Courtney..we love you gals!!! We can't say enough about this wonderful locally owned establishment, thank you Ed and Gayle for allowing us to have our friends and family share this special day with us at your place. So if you're passing through Delta or are lucky enough to live here stop in and enjoy a night out at the best restaurant in town..great atmosphere, great food and friendly service from a family owned business. read more
