My story is simple. I purchased the best Starkey hearing aid from another provider. I wasn't very satisfied with the service, so I contacted Clarity Hearing. I wanted to get a new hearing test and my hearing aid programmed accordingly. I was charged $260 for (one hearing aid) this service which took about one hour. My other ear has an implant and I don't need one for that ear. I thought this was a little expensive, but understand they were not making any money that they would had I bought from them originally. After a week, I realized that my hearing was not as good as my three year old Phonak. I just called them, explained the issue, and was promptly told it would cost me another $130 to fix what should have been done originally. This is a TOTAL RIPOFF. They are MANY PROFESSIONAL HEARING SPECIALISTS IN THIS AREA. THIS IS NOT ONE OF THEM. Go somewhere else. REPLY TO CLARITY. For the reader, you need to read their reply. You are correct that professionals bill for their time. But, lawyers, doctors, cannot ethically bill you for the same service. I paid you to program the best hearing aid that Starkey produces. That model is their EDGE AI 24. You did program it, but I cannot hear as well as I did with my older Phonak. What does that mean?
