You kind of need to go to breakfast your first morning to see what options to have and then you can order online for any future mornings. The croissants were always delivered warm and it a little pouch to keep them that way. They smelled heavenly. They also have some of the best pasteis de nata and in the early morning they're warm! The location was great! You did have to walk up a bit of a hill, but it's Lisbon. My only tip would be to stay at this hotel at the end of your trip or only stay here because they will spoil you.

I know bunk beds can be nerve wracking with little kids, but the hotel had bumpers installed for safe sleeping. Location wise, you're in the heart of the city with lots of restaurants and shops within close walking distance. It'd be hard not to recommend this hotel, unless you are traveling with no kids or on a business trip.

It's small and clean and has everything you need in the room, including AC, a coffee machine, flat screen TV, mini fridge, hair dryer, shower gel, hand soap, one make up remover towelette, and a shoe shine packet. There's also a small patio and coat rack. The only thing that was missing, was an iron. The hotels sign is slightly hidden between all businesses on that block, but it's the second one from the corner. The stairs are to the left, and the tiny elevator is to the right. The two of us barely fit with our light luggage. To check in you'll need to go to the 3rd floor where the front desk is located. The automated glass door will open once you walk up to it. It's when you are entering your level room that you'll need the key card to open it. We were checked in by the manager William who speaks many languages. He took copies of our passport, which is customary for hotels to do so with foreign visitors. They provide a water dispenser there, vending machine, and communal microwave. It's open 24/7 and although they don't have room service, they can order you breakfast from the local restaurant and have it brought up to your room. But there are tons of places to eat all around that are only a 5 minute walk. We would definitely stay again.

Apparently there is free happy hour with sangria and beer every day from 7-8pm! Clearly, a lively crowd of young adults predominately. No complaints. Bunk bed style with privacy curtains, per usual, which comes with two hooks just outside to hang your clothes/towels/etc. The rooms seemed to be mixed, as I shared space with two other females and 4 males. I will say that having ear plugs worked like a charm because there are some snorers.... Having air conditioning we can control is so prime in Europe! What a blessing! Bathrooms and showers are dormitory style, by at least they have hair dryers ready for your use! I will note that I think there could be a way to better ventilate the place though, because it did somewhat smell of body odor particularly towards the end of the day. I think my nose just got used to it and I forced myself to sleep. Favorite part? BREAKFAST IS INCLUDED, and a delicious one, too: waffles with powdered sugar, Portuguese sausage, scrambled eggs, toast, coffee, orange juice. I miss it already. Okay, I lied, maybe I have other favorites: (1) Sintra Tour and (2) Walking Tours (which are free!) Sintra Tour: at first we didn't think much of it, but after learning about Sintra, we figured why not go with the hostel. WHAT A GREAT DAY! Transportation was all figured out and we explored a castle, went to the beach, ate like locals. Learned a bunch of history and fun facts. It did cost, but well worth every euro. Walking tour of Lisbon: highly recommend, also because it is FREE (we did tip our guide, Sophia, at the end because she is SO KNOWLEDGABLE and had the best recommendations). Great way to get your bearings of the city. We also did the pub crawl: might as well try it once, right? Plus, comes with drinks. You'll need to pay between 12-15 euro, but hey, why not! Overall, HIGHLY recommend this charming hostel.

But, the review started by saying "words can not express... blah blah" but the thing is that they expressed themselves perfectly fine using words, so, I don't know why they started the review that way? Words can't cannot express how much fun I had here. Their sangria tastes like sangria and their beer tastes like something else but pretty refreshing. Like, I was refreshed after drinking it and taking a shower helped too. Their showers are pretty refreshing. Washing my hands here was refreshing too. I was brushing my teeth weekly and I felt refreshed after that too. I started reading my review and I noticed I started a sentence with 'but' - I don't like that rule so I going to keep doing this way so it eventually catches on, I wish I could hashtag that but I don't know how to use hashtags. Lastly, I noticed people don't say good morning that much here but they do say good night a lot but I thought that was a different hostel, other than that, I enjoyed myself.

There's a small tunnel that our taxi driver swooped us down to and there we were in front of Memmo. A small hotel with a stunning view of Lisbon. The front desk, specifically Leonardo, was very helpful and Bruno brought our suitcases to us while acclimating us to the hotel and our lovely Superior Family Room. One suite and one double room on the 9th floor. Let me start by saying what was pleasant about the hotel. The staff was friendly and helpful throughout the hotel. They recently renovated Sky Bar which is nice and the decor is welcoming and comfortable. The lobby and hallways are clean. The quality of furniture was great for the volume of traffic the hotel receives. The breakfast was more than expected. The layout allowed for minimal traffic jams, the variety was extensive and the staff did a wonderful job keeping it clean and well stocked, kudos to the breakfast staff! If you are reading this be sure to add breakfast to your hotel room reservation! The hotel was easy to find and had a very tight parking garage below ground. The bed was comfortable. Now, let me tell you why we will not return. (NOTE: we did not inform management about these problems since they seen the be chronic problems that have not been addressed or are the result of lazy management with low expectations. Unfortunately, my expectations are very high.) The sink in 901 and 919 drained slowly. The window motor didn't work in 901, but you could manually push and pull the window closed. 919 - Suite Every piece of art in the room was crooked. The piece upon entry had all kinds of something dripping down the glass. Just disgusting! The motor on the window in the bedroom was not working. The chain was also disconnected, I guess so we could move it manually? The hair dryer was filled with so much lint that it didn't blow much air. It just made noise. We cleaned that ourselves. See photo. The pool was as cold as the Atlantic Ocean. The hot tub was the same ice cold temperature, it just had bubbles! The towels for the pool are at the front desk. You need to sign your life away just to get one. The towels are very nice, but this is a major inconvenience. The hotel should either put a pool attendant to watch and supply towels, or change to a basic bath towel and place them poolside. No one will notice the difference. I'm just disappointed that after paying so much to stay at the hotel, we have to sign for towels. That just takes away from the luxury experience. It's just not worth effort just to have nicer towels. The breakfast area was just too hot both morning of our stay. The hotel charges for dogs. That is not friendly, it's just pet tolerant. Trust me, my kids make more of a mess than my dogs! There was no grass for several blocks, just overgrown weeds. The front desk couldn't even point us in the direction of a manicured green space. There was no pet amenity, no water bowls, nothing. Just payment at check-in. It's VERY disappointing. They should look to other hotels for positive examples of being pet friendly. They could start by looking at the amenity and policies at Castelo de Palmela. BE WARNED, this is a pet tolerant hotel only so be prepared to pay extra and bring everything your pet may need for their visit. The lighted mirror in the bathroom was broken and the switch was replaced with foil tape. At Sky Bar, we ordered tacos from the shareable menu. We received one taco. I guess we were supposed to share the thee shrimp on the taco? When we complained that we had one taco for 14€ from the SHAREABLE MENU, they added a second taco. Our overall experience at Tivoli was underwhelming. We were not impressed with any part of our stay except breakfast. The hotel was sufficient for visiting the city and having a comfortable bed to sleep in. For our next visit to Lisboa, we will find alternate pet friendly accommodations as Tivoli was not worth the expense or frustration. Normally when something is wrong, people usually overlook it. But at Tivoli, everything was out of its place, things just didn't work, and no one seemed to care. After staying at Tivoli it seems that they are plagued with chronic ongoing issues, a clear sign of bad management.

We had issues with our AC, and the front desk agent came to help us even though the engineers were gone for the evening. You managed the room through the TV, and our TV was not turning on. Like others said, the toilet situation is a bit odd; you can hear and see others use it. There is a curtain, but it doesn't stop you from hearing it. My favorite part was the gym and sauna. There was a beautiful view looking out into Lisboa, and I fell in love with this view at the sauna! and the gym equipment was clean and up to date! The bartenders downstairs are also lovely and upfront and go above and beyond to make you a good cocktail or ensure you have the perfect glass of wine. The Metro station in front make is convenient, and a few good coffee shops are around. It will take you 20 min to get into old Lisboa or the waterfront.

Then head down to the bar for more fun. Or like me, grab some snack and select a drink from their wide selection (many local beers, as well as imported ones, for 2-5€) and retire to the comfy bed. It's also very cool that you open the door, the room slowly comes to life welcoming your return. Electronic blinds, phone charging pad, cool gadgets to please your inner geeks. Room is rather spacious. The bar and first floor lobby is really happening too, day or night. Sleek and comfortable chairs to sit in, plenty of computers, there's even a corner with a large table for meetings. Location is also excellent, with metro and bus station almost right in front of the hotel. The Saldanha metro stop is on both yellow and red lines, which is awesome as it means fewer transfers, and the red line services the airport (though it cost us only 6€ by Uber). Continente supermarket is in the street behind the hotel. Plenty of shops and restaurants in the area. As other says, the toilet and shower are in round pods, which can feel claustrophobic or awkward to some. There is a curtain to section off that part of the room though, and if that's not enough privacy, you two probably should book separate rooms. Definitely will consider staying here again.
