Since everyone with insurance has a high deductible plan, this 576% premium over Medicare is my responsibility. The private equity group of Welsh Carson along with the greedy physicians of Charlotte Radiology are responsible for the incredibly high insurance premiums in Charlotte. After being on Fosamax and Prolia for many years ended up with severe problems with osteonecrosis…read moreof the gums. The severe pain in my mouth included with chewing, ulcers inside my mouth and infection of the jaws. I was on soft diet for several weeks and Tylenol with no relief. My PCP at Tryon Medical Partners at Pineville location had retired and saw, Dr. David Colon in Pineville. Had the office visit and he prescribed two medications. Upon receiving a statement that I owed $274.93 because this was dental and not covered, routine visit was billed and not covered . I contacted his office trying to figure out the problem with the codes after speaking with Medicare. The code was incorrect per them and if the visit was Medically Necessary should had been covered. Talked with billing and said the code was changed but it was not, only the wording. It was denied because of diagnostic code and he would not change it. If your sick and feel you need medical care for healing, what are you supposed to do?? I felt like was deem it a necessary visit as I left with 2 RX and was sick for weeks with infection. I still have not heard from them except a statement in the mail for payment and his assistant said through MyChart, he would change the code so that my payment would be LESS. Still waiting. Now I am afraid to go to a PCP doctor afraid I will be stuck with another bill! I feel like as a Retired- Senior Citizen I am being taken advantage of and have this my financial responsibility. STAY AWAY FROM HIM UNLESS YOU WANT TO PAY OUT OF POCKET WHEN YOU HAVE MEDICARE AND SUPPLEMENT COVERAGE TO PAY FOR YOUR VISIT. HORRIBLE EXPERIENCE. If I could post a 0, I would do that.
