I followed my primary care physician here from the old Mecklenburg Medical Group, and have watched Tryon Medical Partners grow. I think the practice is an excellent one. It's nice when all your doctors are in the same practice, and with their success and expansion you can find almost any medical specialty here. I absolutely love my primary care doctor, Enrico Belgrave. He is very thorough and thoughtful, a good communicator, always listens to my concerns and answers my questions patiently. I've probably asked some silly ones, but he has never acted like it, and takes what I say seriously. He's an excellent doctor with great skills, knowledge and experience. He's also just a good man. After being on Fosamax and Prolia for many years ended up with severe problems with osteonecrosis of the gums. The severe pain in my mouth included with chewing, ulcers inside my mouth and infection of the jaws. I was on soft diet for several weeks and Tylenol with no relief. My PCP at Tryon Medical Partners at Pineville location had retired and saw, Dr. David Colon in Pineville. Had the office visit and he prescribed two medications. Upon receiving a statement that I owed $274.93 because this was dental and not covered, routine visit was billed and not covered . I contacted his office trying to figure out the problem with the codes after speaking with Medicare. The code was incorrect per them and if the visit was Medically Necessary should had been covered. Talked with billing and said the code was changed but it was not, only the wording. It was denied because of diagnostic code and he would not change it. If your sick and feel you need medical care for healing, what are you supposed to do?? I felt like was deem it a necessary visit as I left with 2 RX and was sick for weeks with infection. I still have not heard from them except a statement in the mail for payment and his assistant said through MyChart, he would change the code so that my payment would be LESS. Still waiting. Now I am afraid to go to a PCP doctor afraid I will be stuck with another bill! I feel like as a Retired- Senior Citizen I am being taken advantage of and have this my financial responsibility. STAY AWAY FROM HIM UNLESS YOU WANT TO PAY OUT OF POCKET WHEN YOU HAVE MEDICARE AND SUPPLEMENT COVERAGE TO PAY FOR YOUR VISIT. HORRIBLE EXPERIENCE. If I could post a 0, I would do that. read more

The amount of doctor turnover is unusually high and I've had no luck getting realigned with any of my top four choices for replacement doctors (either they are leaving the practice(!) or aren't taking new patients). Me and my family will be moving back to the Atrium medical system. read more

This is the best doctor office I have ever gone to. I have never gone to a doctor so available and so helpful from day one. I have been going here for about a year and recently I went to a doctor at a different facility where they wrote me a perscription but never sent it. I was stressed and asked if they could help me out find a different doctor and they referred me to a specialist and had a different facility call me in 10 minutes. Amazing! In the past, when I am sick, they schedule an appointment with me immediately! I have never gone to a doctor for being sick since scheduling an appointment usually took two weeks or I could just call a phone doctor, but they set up appointments fast and are so helpful! until this one since they are so available and helpful. Dr. Wilder is fantastic. My prescriptions are always sent on time, it's easy to contact them over the patient portal or phone, and they are on top of everything! Plus the uptown view is amazing. I recommend anyone I know new to a city to go to Tryon medical partners in uptown because they got you covered!! read more

This is my new practice. Over 100 physicians left MMG to create Tryon Medical Partners. They are independent. My doctor us one iihf the. She is happier and more relaxed noise that the newness has settled. I am very happy for her and the other doctors who can now love their work and live happy lives outside of work. I left MMG to stay with Dr. Carl Hughes, and am so glad I did. Easy to talk to, attentive, doesn't spend the whole visit on the computer. Very much feels like a team approach to my care: him and me. I had a recent visit with Dr. Richard Miller in cardiology. Nice guy, thorough, easy to talk to, and on time. Needed an echo, and it was scheduled for that day (I live 45 minutes from that office). Went and got breakfast, came back and had the echo. While I was in the room, Dr. Miller came in and reviewed the echo with me, showing it to me and giving me his views. When I'm early to visits, I get taken back early. This is how medicine should be practiced. read more

My brother passed away on Thursday July 1, 2021 and we have been attempting to get the death certificate from Dr. Wilder. We understand it is a holiday, however when the family called this morning there were no notes in the system that we are waiting on the death certificate so that we can make arrangements with the funeral home. I am appalled that we have to continue to call thus hospital taking us through additional pain and suffering. Totally unacceptable! read more

But the Practice Manager at the Uptown location - Frazette Gordon -- has no concept of the word "listen," and prefers instead to talk over others, a habit that undermines the effectiveness of this location. I absolutely love this practice (especially Dr. Pierce). As a Charlotte native, who was born at Presbyterian Hospital (now Novant) I was hesitant about leaving the Novant family. Upon my first visit I was impressed by Tryon Med; the doctors actually care about you and your health; recommends lifestyle and diet changes and is encouraging and informative. read more

Tryon Medical Partners is woefully unprepared to provide medical care during the COVID-19 pandemic. They inexplicably refused to accept lab work and test results that were done by other doctors and lab companies like Quest and LabCorp while continuing to inappropriately prescribe medications on autopilot without doing the proper due diligence to titrate medications and prescriptions based on timely test results. Therefore, in order to protect my own health, I severed my relationship with Tryon Medical Partners and now see a competent doctor who has no problem with both receiving lab results from reputable national providers and ordering his own tests for me no matter where I am as a result of the pandemic. Furthermore, Tryon Medical Partners refuse to stay up to date with current COVID 19 emergency orders that allow doctors to provide continuity of care during the pandemic across the nation in certain states - yet they still fraudulently billed my insurance for visits they did not perform. Additionally, they said they were doing a Phase 3 Trial for the Moderna vaccine for COVID but never returned a call when I said I was available to volunteer. I have never seen a practice this incompetent and I do not recommend a practice that has not properly adapted to the new post COVID 19 reality. read more

The doctor and the nurse were very knowledgable and very prompt. I enjoyed working with them and would continue to do so, the facility was also new and very clean. The receptionist needs a little more training on how to handle checkout. she was clueless when asked about the next steps and treatment information, she made it seem like she was only interested in the payment and money.
