We started out with the Chicken Pot Stickers the Asian Dumplings are Pan-Fried as they should be, served with Soy-Ginger Sesame Sauce...excellent!! The Parmesan-Herb Crusted Chicken is as described: Sauteed Chicken Breasts Coated with Parmesan-Garlic Breadcrumbs and Herbs. Served with Mashed Potatoes and Green Beans...everything was very good and generous portions. The Mrs ordered the Chicken Parmesan "Pizza Style" which is: Chopped Chicken Breast Coated with Breadcrumbs, Covered with Marinara Sauce and Lots of Melted Cheese. Topped with Angel Hair Pasta in an Alfredo Cream Sauce....it was very good but a bit on the dry side and we both thought that more sauce was needed. For desert we got two pieces of the Chocolate Caramelicious Cheesecake Made with Snickers®...fantastic! It's Original the Original Cheesecake Swirled with Snickers® on a Brownie Crust with Chocolate, Caramel and Peanuts. Staying nearby for my youngest daughter's basketball tournament so we had to come to Cheesecake for dinner. My daughter got the Korean fried chicken bowl (Both of my daughters favorite!) and I had the fried macaroni and cheese balls. They were divine! This visit was ok. It was dinner time with our youngest kids and mom and dad night. Service was off but it was ok. It was a busy Saturday night. We were entertaining ourselves in conversation but the service lacked because we waited so long and no one paid attention to our drinks or wait time. Ordered rib eye steak and fries, chicken tenders, farfalle spaghetti, and Buffalo Blasts. I was not very satisfied with the steak. It was very undercooked. It took a long time as well so I didn't send it back. I packed it up to take home. The chicken tenders are breaded with panko. My kids did NOT like that texture. The farfalle spaghetti was lacking depth of flavor. The only food that was left to critique was the Buffalo Blast's which were very satisfying to Mr W. (This is his usual go to item.) Overall, I prefer not to come here for dinner or with kids. The service is different on a Saturday night. This visit was the second visit this year. I made a third visit after this one recently and it was still very off for me. I retried the steak and it was the same situation; undercooked and full of fat. I miss the old Cheesecake Factory vibes I got back in 2004-2005. But sometimes we have to move on with nostalgia. read more

I am at the mall and decided to treat myself to lunch. It is 12:20pm on a Tuesday. I walk in to nobody waiting and 2 hostess ladies talking. One turns toward me without making eye contact says "how many?". I say just one and she says she has the high tops in the bar. I explain I have short legs so I will need a low top and she says "ok, but we dont have anything availabler".I said I will just find another place to eat and I did. But it didnt look busy and I unfortunately have experienced other places that force singles (mainly women) into a bar area. The last time I came to this location the service felt rushed but I thought it was a one off. Who knows. The server was awesome--super attentive and even dropped some extra tips. The food was incredible. Every once in a while, I get a hankering for cheesecake. With a blizzard coming to Des Moines tonight I decided to stop and get a piece to comfort me through the storm. Service here can be hit or miss depending on how busy they are. I had the option of sitting at the bar, but chose not to, I'm sure service would've been quicker there. First timers! I can't express how amazing this place. I had the chicken Marsala and I can't even start to describe how delicious it was! Depending on what time of the day you go, the noice level can be a little loud but that's expected around lunch and dinner time. As others mentioned, the service isn't that great. We were greeted and sat down within a timely manner but waited over 20mins (no exaggeration) for a waitress to come over. She wasn't the nicest and acted as though we were bothering her by even being there. The table next to us was seated about 10mins after us and by this time they had drinks, bread, and ordered.. Their waitress even asked if they wanted more bread! We would have loved more... I think overall the experience was nice but could have been amazingly better with a different waitress. read more

I don't even know where to start but THIS IS THE WORST CHEESECAKE FACTORY EVER. I feel sorry for you Iowa, I really do, was at the STL one days before and it's not even in the same ballpark. Management put someone who obviously doesn't know what's going on in a section that was too big for her, she couldn't keep up, didn't get a single refill, and she forgot to key in parts of our order. The kitchen was reusing things they shouldn't, our chicken tasted like fish Don't even get me started on the nachos, I'm not sure they could even qualify as nachos. After a long day decided to head to Cheesecake Factory, full disclosure this is not my first time but for some odd reason there were out of spot of their appetizers. My husband got a hot fudge sundae because it's just crazy hot in Iowa and why not indulge in some ice cream. I got the lunch special fettuccine Alfredo but I sub it with Louisiana chicken. The pasta itself was okay but the chicken I was hoping with have more flavor too it. Definitely disappointed. We got the chicken taquitos and those are always really good. Delicious. 2 people ordered salads. Huge size! I ordered sweet/sour chicken, white rice. Delicious! Sister had bang bang chicken? All the meals delicious. But best part was the cheesecake! Yummy! Have been here more times than I can count since moving to DSM area in 2019. The service is always great, and has been throughout those years. The food is usually great as well. On a recent visit, there was a manager talking not so nicely to our very sweet young girl server in the dining room. Totally rubbed me the wrong way. The manager was still in the dining room towards the end of a meal, and I heard another server refer to her as "Lesley" so that much be her name. When you are out to eat, you want to feel relaxed, and don't want to witness employees getting "talked to" right by your table. Not sure if I will return. read more

Yes, I said delicious, mouth watering, moist burgers are here! I had the old fashioned and she had the smokehouse burger. Old fashioned is just a regular burger with lettuce, tomato, onion, and mayo. Smokehouse burger is cheese, BACON, fries onions, and bbq ranch sauce! Burgers are served on great sesame buns! I got regular fries and she had sweet potato fries. Both of our burgers were so good! The food here is not worth what they are charging. My husband ordered the Salmon on a bed of rice. The rice was cold with a warm piece of salmon on top and 4 cold snap peas spread out on the plate. I ordered the 4 cheese pasta. The pasta was not hot but rather warm with a scoop of soft room temperature ricotta cheese on top, I was asked if I wanted Parmesan cheese on top, I said yes only to find out it wasn't freshly crated but rather in a small cream bowl and scooped with a spoon. Nothing melted together. Nothing about this meal was outstanding. The dishes were not clean either one of our water glasses had crusty stuff on it. When they seated us they placed the menu on top of our fresh napkins. I wonder how many had touched the menu previous to us. The seating was so tight to the next table we didn't feel like we could converse without hearing the next tables conversations or them hearing ours. Im pregnant and my husband and I are driving cross country. it's so hard to find any decent food on these long drives and the thought of fast food was making me queasy. We were desperate to find some real food and Cheesecake Factory sounded perfect! the only problem was they were supposed to close like 10 mins after we were scheduled to arrive. Horrible service experience! It was like they did not want to serve us or really didn't give two craps. We were told to wait 15 minutes for the table, ended up waiting longer because they had incorrectly recorded our phone number. I understand that this mistake can happen but there were not many people there at all and we were waiting right by the hostess stand. It seemed this was an issue for others as the people before us went to inquire about their table and once they did they were sat right away. We were sat at Emileea's table. She brought bread and waters right away. After that things quickly went down hill. We waited over 30 minutes for our food. After it arrived, my brother was told they were out of what he ordered. We were all very hungry at this point. It seemed she did not care and that she didn't even check on the food ever if we were being told this after 30 minutes of waiting. To add insult to injury, she didn't even offer to take the food off or give him an appetizer while he waited for his food to be made. I have been to other cheesecake factories recently and this was a stand out bad experience compared to other locations. We will not return here as there are many other nearby restaurants (at PF Chang's a few days before with great food and service).
