I learned right before our lunch that the kitchen is a from scratch kitchen which is very impressive considering how large the menu is! A group of us (~25) visited the restaurant after a memorial service shortly after noon yesterday. The staff was accommodating in getting us all seated and greeted us enthusiastically. Some within the party had menus in front of them others did not. The server was anxious to take the order but after seeing that we didn't have menus had to pivot. Other Issues arose shortly after ordering of entrees was completed. Food arrived with servers not knowing who should receive which entree. I ordered the Crispy Chicken and Shrimp with stir fry Veggies and Pineapple in a spicy and sweet sauce with "brown" rice. It took a long time between the time the order was placed and when I received it. This experience was consistent for the entire party. I received the order and it came with "white rice" that was cold and slightly undercooked. The shrimp and chicken were done but everything was swimming in sauce. The veggies were overcooked. I didn't ask to have the rice replaced fearing it would take too long for the wait staff to bring it. Overall, the dish was underwhelming. Others at the table were first time guests and ranked their experience on a scale from 1 to 10 as a "2". One guest commented that what I ordered looked no better than what one could expect at Panda Express. It wasn't busy at the restaurant. There were a lot of empty tables (on a Friday afternoon) so why was the service lacking and the kitchen so slow? A friend of mine ordered chicken piccata special - didn't receive soup or salad and the pasta was stuck together. It was very disappointing and surprising given the reputation of The Cheesecake Factory that in my opinion was pretty solid. Food quality was mediocre and the service poor. Highly recommend trying the Peach Perfect with Raspberry Drizzle cheesecake, it is so Americana. 5/5. Had a reservation for 9pm and we showed up at 9:30pm. We called a couple of times to let them know we were running late. Once we got there, our table was waiting for us despite people waiting in the lobby for walk-ins. Went to Cheesecake Factory for brunch on a Saturday early afternoon and was looking forward to the Bruch Burrito since I have had it before and enjoyed it immensely. Well, I have to say what came out, was a pale version of what it used to be. It was about 1/4 smaller widthwise than before and the filling was very light. The tortilla was tough to cut. The good news it did taste ok, just not what it used to be. Also, the black beans were overly salty which I confirmed with my friend. Service was friendly and attentive. My friend made a reservation for 7:30. We arrived at 7 and let them know that we had more people in our party then we originally thought. The total was 14 (11 adults & 3 children), so I knew the wait would be long... but we were not seated until after 8:30. Because we were such a large party the waiter split the checks via groups of 3-4 which was perfectly fine. We ordered apps around 8:50 and didn't receive them for at least 25 min. Fast forward to 9:30ish after we finished our apps, the waiter finally takes our meal order. The food took 30-40min at least. At that point most of us weren't hungry and took a lot of the food to go. One of my friends found a HAIR on her plate which was not only gross; it also added to the frustration of having been there for so long. So now it's about 10:30. We asked the waiter for cheesecakes to-go because at that point we just wanted to leave. 20 min goes by and the waiter finally comes back with our checks. That was ALSO a complete catastrophe because some people payed with cash and some with card. Apparently there was some difficulty with doing it that way with their system. By the time we left the restaurant it was 11:10 PM. Really just unacceptable. I understand we were a large group, but not everyone ordered apps, and not everyone ordered a meal. This is one of my favorite places to eat. I always order the Chicken Madeira. It's always cooked very well and is topped with just right amount of cheese. My husbands chicken Alfredo was nice and hot and had a good amount of chicken. The Georgia peach was very good and my husbands passion fruit margarita was also good. Our waitress was really nice. She made sure we had everything we needed. She was very sweet. We got sat by a window where we were able to people watch. The service was terrible. The waiter was getting ready for his shift to end- I later learned this which made sense why he was rude and rushing. Anyway, everything bothered him, refills, napkins, taking the order, bothered with an attitude. I ordered the skinnylicious Asian Chicken Salad. It was trash! I picked the chicken out and left the rest. It had zero flavor and was $16. The brussel sprout appetizer tasted like frozen veggies. Two Sangrias and the bill was almost $100. How? I am only giving three stars due to the drinks and one appetizer. Thai chicken wraps great. I ordered a passion fruit margarita and my daughter the passion fruit mojito . We attempted to order the ginger beef tenderloin(keep in mind we arrived at 5:45 ordered around 6pm. Around 6:30 pm we were informed they ran out of the item. How do you run out of food before 7pm in a empty restaurant on a rainy evening. The server sarcastically offered salmon as if we should settle for items we've ordered in the past. My food was subpar. I ordered a flatbread and the crispy brussel sprouts. The amount of brussel sprouts in the dish was laughable. $13 for basically 2 sprouts fried into chips is just ridiculous. They also should rethink their plating for the flatbread. Bottom was soggy, and it was larger than the board it came out on, so parts of it touched the table. I don't go out to eat just to eat off of the table.... The restroom could also use an update in process. There were a ton of paper towels on the floor by the door which could simply be solved by either having a trash can near the door or one of those foot openers for doors. Normally the Cheesecake Factory is one of my favorite chains to go. It's great food and great prices. However I was literally crying at this Cheesecake Factory located in Willow Grove from the rude service and poor quality food. We walked in and gave the hostess our phone number to be on the waitlist for a table of 2. She told us it was going to be a 15-20 min wait and we'll get a text when our table is ready. We waited for close to 45 mins, no text coming through all the while we saw other parties who came after us getting seated first. My partner went to the counter multiple times to ask for clarification on our wait time and was brushed off and told that it was busy. Which I understood it was busy but it didn't make sense that other walk ins were getting seated first. Finally we were seat after close to an hour of waiting. Then we waited for around 20 more minutes before our server came to get our order. Our seats at the booth had crumbs on it from the previous party. My app plate still had brownish spots on it. I had to ask twice to get it changed. A lot of the apps we wanted were all out of order. Our server was nice but the overall service wasn't good. Our water wasn't refill until we asked for it to be. Food is ok. For apps we got spicy tuna crispy rice, calamari, and Korean fried cauliflowers. The only thing that was enjoyable and flavorful was the cauliflowers. The spicy ahi tuna was not fresh and dull in color. We ended with tiramisu cheesecake. Which was maybe the highlight. Overall I'm shocked and frustrated at Willow Groove's Cheesecake Factory's lack of quality in both Food and hospitality. We were seated quickly, took awhile to order, 15 minutes later I found out they were out of the stuffed cheddar burger I ordered, an hour later out food arrived... tough outing. Way too long and when the food arrived the fries were cold but we got new fresh ones and my burger was amazing! I think it was worth the wait , the cheddar burger was delicious, up there with best ever category! Also had the orange chicken and shrimp which was very good also. 3.5 stars-I've been here with my family for lunch a handful of times after visiting the cemetary that is 5 minutes away. It gets extremely busy on the weekends since it is connected to the mall and we always come on a Saturday so I would make reservations the day before to avoid the wait. However, the service and food is not consistent, sometimes it's good, sometimes it's not. But for the most part, despite the slow service or food being cold, dry or overcooked, the server that we get every time has always been polite, attentive and apologetic. The food itself is not bad, my mom and I love their miso salmon with brown rice and they have some good appetizers as well like the sweet corn tamale cakes, stuffed mushrooms and avocado eggrolls. With their extensive menu, indulgent desserts (lots of cheesecake options) and convenient location with ample parking, I can't think of a better place to take my family than here. read more
