Because of this, there's a great sense of community going on there, but new faces are always welcomed here too. I used to gig here in my younger years as mick and jackie had always been into music and promoting the local music scene. Quiz nights are always great fun and the service there is very quick. A really great place to go to and I think it caters for people who don't exactly feel accustom to gastro pub vibe. It's a very honest place with nice friendly people. It's incredibly well laid out inside, they have these cool bubbles outside that you can eat in which are kind of like mini cabins, the only sad thing is I don't really have too much time to stay here as I'm just working down the road doing some stuff for a client so no unfortunately I can't really partake of the excellent menu. I wish I could write more but the next time I'm back in this neck of the woods I would definitely come here the staff are also friendly and it's warm inside.

The service isn't much better either. Being a local I've been there a handful of occasions now since it's opening and each time I have left unsatisfied and slightly out of pocket! On the plus side the homemade bread (individually baked in sunflower pots) is rather scrummy and I can't knock the surroundings and atmosphere. There is now better pub grub to be found in Harpenden.
