She was personal, attentive to my need, gave me the time to explain my dilemma, and didn't give up on me in what i was looking for, and hoping to find. She was amazing in communicating via texts, and phone calls, including sending me specific link pages. Very professional and treated me with kindness and priority. They are more sparse than most and I prefer them to be tweezed versus waxed or threaded. I know it can take a little longer, but April was more than happy to oblige and I was elated with the results. She finished them off with also a light make-up application; just the way I like them, with a soft powder make-up application. I really appreciated her asking me what I preferred rather than just apply a heavy style of make-up. She's lovely! I highly recommend her and look forward to seeing her again when I need my next eyebrow shaping.

I purchased a Groupon for this location for full color. Called the salon, told the lady I had a groupon and wanted to make an appointment. Looking back, maybe I should have told them the color I wanted was blond. Might not have had the experience I did. After securing a babysitter, I arrived for my appointment a few minutes early. The stylist greeted me right on time and invited me to her chair. I told her again that I had a groupon and I wanted to go blond. This is where it all started to go bad. Immediately, her face changed and she said that she didn't like to "color to the scalp" and she "didn't feel comfortable because she didn't know my hair". At that point, I should have thanked her and left. But instead, I showed her some pics of what I wanted and that I had it before. She kept commenting on how high maintenance the style was. That I would be constantly having to upkeep it. Which annoyed me. I didn't ask for that. I have been blond before, I know the routine. I told her that. She then stated that she had seen he pictures and she could add some highlights and it would look just like the pictures. Per her, it would be an additional $20 because the Groupon for highlighting was $20 more than the color. I learned later that was false, it was $10 more. But in any case, I was hesitant, but eventually agreed. Throughout the process, I got to know her way more than I wanted to. As a first time guest, I really feel her personal oversharing was just too much. Her illness, dating, husbands, etc etc. Just too much. Finally, it was done. I have curly hair and usually just let it air dry, so I told her that I would air dry it and see how I liked it. We then discussed that if I wasn't happy, I could pay $20 and come back and she would add more highlights. I was also told I could come back for the trim that was included with the original groupon. I got home, decided I did not like it as the contrast was awful. White blond hair blended with my dark brown hair. It was just too stark. I texted her and told her that I wasn't happy. I then brought up maybe she could add some toner, to soften the blond. She stated that it would be the following week before she could add toner. We also discussed adding more highlights. It was agreed I would see her the following week for an additional cost of $30 she would add more highlights and toner. After once again securing a babysitter, I arrived at my appointment and she then told me she couldn't do what we discussed. That dye just cost too much and her time would not allow her to what we discussed. At this point I am stuck. I am not happy with my hair. And I can only imagine how much it would cost to go somewhere else to fix it. She then says for $20 she can add toner all over. After some back and forth, I eventually agree. The process is then completed. At the end of the day, I am still not super happy with the outcome. It's not what I wanted. But after spending what I did, I can live with it. I am disappointed that there are no stipulations on the groupon. I am disappointed that we had an agreement and she changed her mind. I am disappointed because I was hoping I had found a new stylist, but looks like I haven't.

One of my sisters was at work and the other was at the gym. Therefore I trusted Yelp to help me find a great stylist and that's how found Erika. Being that I was truly impressed by the pictures of her work on Yelp, I called her early in the morning around 0830 not knowing she was off for the day, but she didn't turn me away. She made my appt for 1100 which I was so excited because I really wanted my hair done. When I arrived to my appointment, I was really impressed w/the atmosphere of the salon and I was really impressed w/Erika because she came in just to do my hair. She said she don't believe in turning away new customers. Not only did I absolutely love my hair, I loved her personality. Erika was very friendly and made sure that I was very comfortable. Whenever I'm in this area again, I will definitely be coming back for her to do my hair again. As a matter of fact, my sister loved my hair so much that she said she would be going to her. She made sure to put her card on her refrigerator. Lol!! She told me that all the stylist except for the owner charge 45 and since I am a new customer it will be 10 dollars off. So I thought it wasn't a bad deal at all. Got in the seat. The girl was okay. Barely cut anything. Very average cut. When I was checking out, I mentioned if I can still get the 10 dollars off that she mentioned. She said sure but in a hesitation kind of way. She then raised the price on me to 55 dollars instead of 45 and with ten dollars off, it went down to 45. Long story short. I am pretty sure I got lied to. Not going back in there again. Wasn't worth the 45 plus tip.
