Today's review is a combination of numerous visits over maybe 3 years. However, I'm really…read morementioning the last visits over the last year (maybe) and our latest purchase. Over the last year or so I've seen prices greatly increase. Now I'm not sure what the reasoning is for the change. Maybe a new person doing pricing or maybe a new owner/management. No idea. Now don't get me wrong - things went up pretty hard in 2023 and 2024, but used kids clothing for $5.50 - $3.50? That's a lot. Not new things - clearly used. Then there was the latest purchase. The photo shows two tags. Sadly we didn't notice the clearance tag from Target and clearly the store didn't mean to keep that in there. Basically what the staff appears to have done was go across the street to the Target store and wipe out the clearance rack, then come and place in their racks. With a small markup - nope. In my opinion - this is a deceptive practice. Not sure exactly how I'm gonna proceed with this. But fairly confident some notification to the company's corporate office. To see if this is how they want their franchises to operate. With this said - buyer beware. I doubt we will shop here again and I suggest you don't. Better prices doing a little yard saling without the deception.

This being my second or third experience here I'm writing this review on behalf of my family who…read morerecently visited the store to sell some of my daughters clothes! First off she called to confirm that you just bring in you items "nice and neat" in a tub this location does not accept clothing in bags anymore! My mother arrived in the mid afternoon with a tub with 92 items something told her to keep a record of what she was taking there! The queue told her the items would be ready by 7:30p...but they were done by 5:30p so she heads back that way at 6p she arrives back to the store and the associate tells her they have misplaced her tub the manager has to come out to try and help figure out what happened. They took about 20 items and gave the rest to another customer "who had the same tub" ridiculous you make people come in with tubs just to give the wrong one out! And now they are offering compensation but that's nearly not enough those were my baby's clothes my first child! I'm very disappointed and will never return here

I love this store and the staff here-always so friendly and kind! We find some treasure in here…read moreevery time we go. I found their prices overall reasonable-The clothing can be steep-but the sales racks have some pretty great deals. Love the presentation, love the conversations with the front desk ladies, and overall thankful for this joyful store!!!

Absolutely wonderful store for kids! They have clothing (definitely high-end quality and price),…read morebut the huge draw for me is that they have such thoughtfully selected books that promote diversity and environmental stewardship. The books that you find there are so full of quality content, the type of books that help parents raise children with intentionality and teach kindness, empathy, and open-mindedness. The organization of the store is fun. When I went, there was a section for summer themed items and travel toys, STEM, dino toys and clothes, and more. I was truly wowed by the quality brands. You find brands like Haba and Usborne. I was particularly taken aback by all of the great Usborne stuff! I'm a major fan, and it's expensive to get that stuff shipped. The books end up being like $20, so it was nice to see them priced so reasonably here. I saw some great write and wipe books on letters, numbers, and math. There were some great sticker books (the type that teach), and I was able to snag a seek-and-find bug sticker book that teaches counting for like $8. It is incredibly engaging and effectively reinforces counting skills in a very fun way. Plus, it gives kids something to do with stickers that's fun and doesn't involve finding them all over your house. They also had some great quality Canadian brand of kids toys that I cannot remember, but good craft kits from them. Aside from the clothing, prices were quite reasonable, and the clothes, admittedly, were better quality than you see at typical kids stores. They were made like stuff used to be made. You know, like actually quality enough to pass down. I definitely plan to make this a regular stop for my birthday and Christmas shopping list. There are no yap yap toys, but pretty much kid-powered stuff that requires a brain to be actively engaged in creative thinking. My kind of stuff! Honestly, this store literally looks like what I would put in a kids store, if I created one myself, so I'm so happy to find that it exists. It is truly a magical place, as my fellow Yelper said. It really can't get much better. Please support this wonderful business. It is SO worth the drive, if you're out-of-town. If you have any doubts, just plan add a stop to the Discovery Museum for some great play and La Flor Michoacana for delicious ice cream, but you'll see that Whimsies alone is worth it.
