What comes out at you is seeing the interior, clean and all, but filled with empty stores and dark with some of the lighting being off. Usually in those situations, their trying to save money by cutting down on electricity, which is no issue, but as long nobody gets hurt in the dark areas. It was pretty easy to navigate the mall, as I didn't need to look at the map for the most part - only two main hallways which makes it extremely convenient to not get lost. Some businesses I found here caught me by surprise and remained open still such as JCPenney, Ruby Tuesday, Burlington, and FYE. As long as they are still thriving, that's what matters. There were no signs indicating that were closing soon, and most of the inventory looked in great shape. The majority of the other stores seemed to be doing okay on my visit, none of which I saw were closing soon. Depending on each store, some looked busier than others, which didn't come as a surprise for the most part, but the time of the day and year plays a role in it as well. The food court looked okay, with some open and closed as well, and looks good for the most part. It's not the prettiest-looking place that's eye appealing, but is clean and kept up which matters the most. They had decent choices to offer just by looking. The movie theater is still open and running which is great to see. Overall, the mall I believe falls in the dead category. Although some sections of the mall are dead, others are alive and filled with shoppers. It looks like it depends on the area. Even though that is now, that could change in no time.

I found some items here to catch my eye, mainly the men's button-downed shirts, with a variety and style that I haven't seen before. I don't stop at Burlington on a frequent basis, which probably explains there are new products. Spending a lot time of viewing each department, I found by surprised to see the public restroom closed and also the fitting rooms closed. It's definitely temporary, but why could that be?! When was the last time it took you less than 5 minutes to go through the entire clearance rack? I couldn't believe it. I tried on half a dozen items and left with an outfit for under $20 in less than 45 minutes. I don't know about anyone else got ta but that is my ideal shopping experience! Oh! She advised me that I would have to bring the shoes into the store before a decision to replace the shoes could be made. My husband and I went to the store and Jennifer was the most professional person I've dealt with in a long time. She agreed there was a manufacturing problem with the shoe and replaced them. It was a very smooth transaction. My husband then looked at other shoes and we purchased a very nice pair. At the register Jennifer noticed my husband was a veteran and we received a veteran discount. We did not know of that perk for being a patron of the store, but we were happy to receive that discount. She pretty much 'handled' everyone from the phone lol. This is for a vow renewal and I am 50; I also just had bariatric surgery and lost 106 lbs very quickly. I had a lot of concerns for both my age and the weight loss but they were all knowledgeable, extremely positive and encouraging. They brought out the alterations lady (also a wonderful, wonderful woman) and she understood every concern I had with many creative suggestions to help my insecurities. They included my husband and my friend with laughter and fun. They were patient, gave me time for each issue and understood exactly what we were wanting. Honestly, I was a bit reserved about this with it being a vow renewal for our tenth anniversary and an older 'bride' to boot but they made me feel pretty and welcome with many smiles from all the nearby associates. They were very safe and respectful with open minds to everything I was thinking but also kept a positive, professional attitude.
