I visited this store recently on my way back home from FL…read more I was looking for some rare Paramore vinyl, and to my luck, the manager working (he said he was a "key-holder" and I assume that's what that means) said he was a huge Paramore fan! He listed off all of the great rare Paramore vinyl that he owned, and I was really impressed. He asked if I had any of their jukebox singles, and I said that I had one (Misery Business) and that I played it all the time. He told me I was crazy for playing the record, because you shouldn't play rare records. Having them remain unplayed is the only way to collect. He then told me that the Hot Topic Paramore records were rare and that they didn't have any, but that they had some rare My Little Pony figures. I guess if you like Paramore, it is assumed that you like My Little Pony. He was wrong. But I did like his hat. It was fuzzy. I think he said his name was JJ or Zay Zay or something like that. All the racks were very well organized, and there were no clothes strewn on the floor as I have seen at other places. When you first walk in, there are women's clothes to the right and men's to the left. All by size, and the sizes are actually in there! Further back, there are dresses, jackets, wedding dresses!! lol. And then there is a 2nd section in the back of the store with shoes, purses, home and kitchen and miscellaneous. Its all very organized and not as dusty as some places I've been to. They have a bathroom and 2 dressing rooms. Cons. It gets hot. I was here during the day and since there are very big windows instead of walls, the sun beats in. Selection is somewhat limited, I saw some old navy, and mostly stuff that correlates to the outlet mall down the street. Most of the clothes are a little dated. Sometimes the prices are very hard to find. They also have a color tag system in which the color tags are on sale for 2 weeks. The cashier said they rotate these so they know how long something has been there. I found a few good steals, too bad they weren't the colors that were on sale. Just made a donation drop off at the Calhoun location. There was a person standing at the door but…read morehe just stood there looking at me as I opened the bed of our pickup. He didn't greet me or make any attempt to help me unload until I asked and then said the carts were full. There was already a sidewalk full of previous donations so I proceeded to add to the pile. Our donations were neatly boxed, taped, and not too heavy but he sighed with each removal. No offer of a receipt or even a thank you for the donation. Wow...definitely will rethink where our next donation goes...lack of appreciation and poor customer service doesn't set well.

I have gone a couple of times with very specific items in mind (not usually wise when thrifting), and miraculously, those items were there. Honestly, a dark green velveteen jacket, a black velvet cape, and a black lace blouse? They also have wonderful NORMAL stuff and brand name clothing in good shape. On another visit with out of town thrifting friends, they went a little crazy here. They tell me they will have lists for their next visit.
