Do yourself a favor and give these guys a try, up on 52nd and North Federal. And while you're at it, buy a pound of their Lulu's Chimayo red chile powder. Best you'll find anywhere. After reading reviews I felt this place might give a better bushal weight. I purchased two bushels for $50 cash. I'm not certain how much a bushel of roasted chilies should weigh. Googled it and the range seems to be 20 to 35 pounds depending on various factors. One bushel of mild weighed 6 pounds when I weighed them at home. The second bushel of medium weight 5 pounds 12 ounces. 11 pounds 12 ounces for $50 cash seems to be a rip off. I'll be looking for anouther stand.

They sell groceries, fresh produce, cheese, fish and meat. They have a small deli with meals like barbacoa that you can sit down and eat. The prices are reasonable and I love the small business feel. Anyone to stop at the doughnut store in the same parking lot, I always go in this store to look around and buy myself some fresh baked goods. This place always busy and it just feels "happy" as the vibe is so high and positive.

The sign up is a very simple Google Forms on their website. You can choose from a small box or large box. Each box comes with approximately 6 fruits and 6 vegetables, give or take. Occasionally there's a package of moldy strawberries or the lettuce wilts quickly but that far outweighs the value and variety for the price. Their service is incredibly friendly and accommodating. They have a seamless system down for COVID where you drive up, pay, and they put your produce directly into your car. Awesome! Note that they only accept cash right now. They also have random local goods for sale that you can add on to your usual box. Some examples are honey, green chilis, bbq sauce, bacon and granola. 5280 Produce is a team of rockstars. Give them a shot! Once you start using them you won't forget the incredible value and service.
