    The Corner Christmas Bar

Again, this year, the happiest place on earth. No holiday is complete without a visit to this Christmas neighborhood pub. Go. Dress up tacky Christmas. Enjoy. It's awesome.

OMG what an amazing idea of ATC to open this pop-up bar for the season! Where else can you go with Christmas decorations everywhere, Christmas movies playing on the TVs and Christmas music on the speakers?! They go all out with the theme, with holiday theme shots and Chrismas drafts on tap. I can't say I've ever heard of a Santa Bomb at any other bar! Beware though, the GLB's Christmas Ales are $8 a pop. A little high compared to the rest.

Chairs were placed outside in a slightly wooded area with trees. Due to rain that started as soon as my friend, the bride, walked down the aisle, the wedding ceremony was cut extremely short. The whole ceremony took about 5 minutes because of the rain. After the ceremony, we all took cover under the white gazebo for about 20 minutes. Then, everyone proceeded to the cabin in the park where dinner would be served. Unfortunately, I couldn't stay for dinner but I briefly entered the building/cabin however, I didn't see much because I had to leave. It was most likely set up with tables and chairs for dinner. Regarding having a simple wedding here, it looks like alot of people do host weddings here. Give them a call at 440-356-4444 if you want an indoor wedding in the cabin or an outdoor wedding in the wooded area outside. I've only been here once so a 3/5 rating is fair. **** GOAL of 150 reviews in 2024 - 55/150 total reviews in 2024 - 705 total overall Yelp reviews - Reviewed on 6 July 2024

This space is a cute little location to get some work done on your laptop. Your first visit is complimentary (free) so that you can experience how it would be to work here. I first visited on Wednesday, August 18th, 2021 for a private volunteer activity with the Beauty Boost group. I was given a tour by the owner Maureen who shared with me her vision of expanding the space in the near future. She is excited to have some future offerings here at the CoLab. I visited again a month later on Thursday, September 16th for another private event, a Women Wonderland panel discussion. SPACE -- The interior has one large room with tables and chairs and about 2 private smaller rooms for taking phone calls. Wifi (internet) is included. There are different membership packages too because you need to pay to use this space. If you work from home or need a day out of your office, then I recommend the Co-Lab. Complimentary tea, coffee, and snacks are available for you in the kitchen as you work. I can't wait to come here again but instead of attending an event, actually sit and work. **** - 52/100 total reviews in 2021 - 472 total overall Yelp reviews - Reviewed on 30 September 2021

Maureen and Rachel worked very hard to make sure that everything was organized and tailored to meet our needs, from the first meeting through the reception. Our wedding was truly customized to be exactly what we dreamed of. The CoLab and Lounge spaces are both visually stunning, making for many Instagram-worthy photos. (And we didn't have to spend a ton on additional decorations!) I loved the soft look and feel of the CoLab for our ceremony and dessert table, contrasted with the speak-easy style of the Lounge where we had the bar and dancing. And we were able to have it all without asking our guests to relocate between the ceremony and reception! I'm so glad that Lakewood has this beautiful space for special occasions, and we will definitely be coming back the next time we have an event. Thank you so much!!

Unlike its competitors; BAYArts showcased everything from sculpture to paintings, photography and ceramics. 98% of the time, most exhibits only offer photos or paintings so it was nice to see some alternative inspiration. However, maybe it was our mistake for going on opening night; my father had two pieces accepted so...but there were so many people that you couldn't appreciate the pieces as being able to see them was very challenging! In fact, I had to do a number of laps; only noticing pieces because I was forced into the same tiny corner as they were. But aside from being shoulder to shoulder, there was also a nice spread of wine & hors d' oeuvre. Unfortunately, the upstairs is closed off to the public yet there is an outdoor bar area on the wrap around porch. The items on display were fairly priced, well lit and (if you could see them) stunning! Although this is not a place I would recommend bringing younger children and it might be difficult if you use a walker (no where to sit & rest) or a wheelchair it is worth the visit if you are able to explore on a less busy night.

The staircase is beautiful and every inch of the place is covered in wallpaper, even the ceiling in some rooms. Although quaint, it really bothered me that there wasn't more literature available on-site that explained what all the historic items on display were about. Was the harmonica a former possession of Old Man Nicholson? Seriously, there was a harmonica on display with a little white label next to it reading "harmonica." No duh it is a harmonica, but what is so important about it? It also really bothered me that there was a doll on display with her hair parted for pigtails and only one pigtail was secured with a ribbon. The other pigtail was just lose; she looked like a homeless lady off her meds. I spent a long time staring at that doll thinking of all the reasons the person who arranged the display left her like that: 1)It was arranged by a man. 2)Someone found the doll with only one original hair ribbon and realized it was missing a ribbon but did not buy matching ribbon from Jo-Ann's because she wrongly wanted to keep the doll "authentic." 3)The person had absolutely no clue what she was doing and she has no eye for design what so ever. Perhaps she is an accountant or banker. Either way, this person never spent a lazy summer afternoon braiding her sister's hair poolside, that's for damn sure.
